Our night out started with valet parking. The food was awesome. I am not normally a french onion person, but my husband ordered it, as it’s his favorite. I tried it after he took his first bite and sighed, stating Oh My that is Great! What could I do, but taste it LOL and yes it WAS great. Our entrees were suberb and the souflee — our first — for dessert made us wish we had ordered two! We recommend this for an anniversary or special event. The staff is SO wonderful — it is a great paring with the GREAT food!

Food was amazing! I had the Reuben sandwich and it came with real cut meat, not sandwich meat you would normally get. My friends had the burger and really liked their choice as well. The restaurant is at a really nice hotel and they offer indoor as well as outdoor seating. I would dine here again.

Ok food, not worth the price. As we walked in I couldn’t help but notice that the atmosphere is outdated but nice. My wife started her meal with the lobster bisque and I started with the Cliff House salad. The lobster bisque was very underwhelming. There was one little piece of lobster in the entire cup and the«cream» tasted like it came out of a Cambell’s can. There was nothing substantial to it. For a $ 10 starter soup you expect it to be something pretty awesome. My salad was ok, but again over priced. $ 7 only got me a small bed of soggy greens and a few pieces of cucumbers. What was nice was the crispy veggie chips on top. For our entrée we both ordered the Bacon Wrapped Elk Sirloin with a Lingonberry Demi-Glacé, Crisp Mustard Spaetzle and Grilled Beefsteak Tomato. After our disappointing starters we weren’t expecting much. We were pleasantly surprised. The elk was tender, tasty, and well prepared. However, it could have used a little more seasoning. The grilled beefsteak tomato must have been marinated in something because it was fragrant and flavorful. The lingonberry demi-glaze was a little sweeter than I prefer, but went well with the elk. The spaetzle was just an ok side that lacked anything special. We’ve been to a lot of fine dining in Colorado Springs and this doesn’t live up to others in town for the same price. If plates were about $ 10 less and their starters were better we would think about going back. For now we’ll chose somewhere else.

I love this place! We usually go here for the breakfast buffet. First of all I’m not big on buffets, but the food in this one is like it’s made to order. It’s fresh and delicious. We have been here several times and it is always been good! I love eating breakfast on their patio.

Surprisingly accommodating service given to our rambunctious, young family. We saw the great Unilocal review and wanted to be close to the Penny Arcade. When we entered and saw the formal dining area I was worried we were out of our element. However, the servers and hostess made us feel right at home. They seated us near the fire, away from the vast majority of diners which helped insulate everyone else from our noise. The food was very good and fairly priced — we weren’t paying a premium to eat in a historical location. My daughter’s macaroni was badly under-cooked, crunchy at best. I felt that they mailed it in on that child’s plate but otherwise everyone else was happy with their dishes. I loved the french onion soup and my wife enjoyed her sandwich.

It was a very discouraging evening. I ordered pork saltenbuco and my wife ordered salmon oscar. The pork was filled with gristle and fat… uneatable. In 43 years I have never sent a dinner back to the kitchen until now. The menu said asparagus was with each entre but Brussels sprouts and carrots came out with no apology until we questioned the change. The wine as over priced and VERY poor… a pinot noir from Oregon. I’m sorry we came and we will never come back.

Great dining experience! The food was delicious and the service was friendly and attentive. When I told our server about my gluten allergy he immediately knew what to recommend and even consulted with the chef about the daily specials. Really nice atmosphere too. Highly recommended!

Wonderful all around. Service is excellent, dining room is quiet, and food is not only perfectly prepared but the balance of flavors is exquisite. Great wine list complements their food well. My favorite was their raspberry soufflé, light as a cloud.

Today we stopped by the Cliff House for breakfast. Upon reading the menu we both were excited; although a limited menu, all items looked delicious. I ordered a side of bacon and pancakes, and my partner order the tofu scramble. Portions lean towards European standards. My food was good, however, my partner would not order his again. Having consumed numerous tofu scrambles across the country this would lean more towards a warmed tofu fry vs a scramble. Disappointing.

Another lovely night. Hubby and me took a night out and this place filled the bill fully. Thanks again for a perfectly romantic night. One day we might even stay.

Lovely dining on the wide porch in view of the mountains(there is a pretty dining room indoors). All food was good with some surprising and delicious sauces and twists on American favorites in our orders — scalloped potatoes, mix of roasted vegetables and red quinoa and sweet potato cake with the fish. The rainbow trout almandine was beautiful and steak perfect, but the halibut could have used something more in spice or something, but all enjoyed their meal and evening.

We enjoyed a very nice dinner for ten in a private room to the left of the main dining room. Service was very attentive although a tad slow. The food was delicious. The fried shrimp appetizer was crispy with a nice Thai sweet chili sauce. Bison carpaccio was very fresh and the seared ahi tuna perfectly cooked. Spinach salad with roasted beets, goat cheese, candied walnuts and raspberry vinaigrette had the perfect ratio of individual components so that one could taste each flavor in every bite. The smoked ruby trout with crayfish étouffée was delicious although it was a little heavy of a dish and had two entire trout filets — way too much! The étouffée was also a little overcooked so the crayfish were like little nuggets and not tender. The grits under the dish were rich and flavorful. The raspberry white chocolate soufflé was okay — much prefer a Grand Marnier Soufflé with a vanilla crème anglaise. Duckhorn Cabernet was an outstanding wine choice!

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Cliff House for 3 nights. After our first night dining at their main dining room, we made it a point to have dinner there for the remaining two nights. We had the same waiter all three nights. He was very personable, which meant a lot especially since you could tell that it was our first time at fine dining. He wasn’t condescending, instead he was very kind and welcoming. Each three nights, we had something different to eat and were not dissapointed. The food was fresh, our meals were done in a timely manner, and the whole atmosphere was surreal. They had a large wine and beer selection that is sure to please any taste. Their breakfast buffet was up to par, as well. They had a very nice spread from cereal to french toast to help you start off your day.

Had a relaxing and fantastic flavored brunch. We split the carpaccio, lobster bisque, french toast and eggs benedict and would recommend everything we tried. The service was impeccable, the view stunning as we sat on the veranda.

Seared ahi appetizer and beef carpacio appetizer were both excellent. Grilled stuffed chicken entrée was good, a little dry and salty. Extensive wine list. Would definitely come back if we’re in the area.

Just got home from one night at Cliff House. It was a last minute decision to have one night away from home while grandma is in town to watch our toddler(with another on the way). Called and got a junior suite with the foodie add-on. Checked in on a snowy Wednesday evening and went straight to dinner. All the staff was amazing. The room was perfect — fireplace, view of the Incline, spa tub(at 26 weeks pregnant I used it that night and the morning before we checked out!). Had a problem getting the water to work so we called the front desk and a maintenance person took care of it ASAP. He said something about one of the parts they use to switch water from showerhead to tub is easy to get stuck and happens a lot and he had it fixed in no time. Food at the dining room was spectacular. I had lobster bisque then the trout with cheesy grits, spinach, and crawfish etoufee and finished with the trio crème brûlée. Husband had french onion soup, steak, and finished with the bread pudding. We were both amazed by the food. The buffet breakfast was absolutely delicious as well. We were able to get a late check-out and it was perfect(so I had the chance to soak once more!)

Great, friendly service. Fabulous food and wonderful experience all around! We had the lunch special three course meal along with the lobster bisque. The bread we started with was so fluffy and delicious! The flight of crème brûlée was phenomenal. Vanilla and honey were our favorites! What are you waiting for? Go, go, go! ;)

So incredibly charming, with service that matches the ambiance! The food was great, and I’d highly recommend this place to anyone visiting, or as a date. I’d love to spend more time in the area… maybe a future visit?

Great porch, wonderful service, incredible food, personable and attentive staff. We could not have been happier with lunch at The Cliff House. Chose to split the 7oz. Angus Burger, as we weren’t starving. Good thing we did. Half was plenty. Especially with the WONDERFUL home made fries! Rather than be miffed we halved an order, it was served on separate plates with a smile. Excellent establishment. We will be back.
