I was very impressed by the food at this place and will be coming back with my family for years to come. The cooks know what they are doing and the service was fantastic. Whoever made this menu deserves a big round of applause. Nice job!

We walked in, and walked right back out. The place smelled like Pickles and the menu was fully organic. But not good organic. The water was even weird. Not about that life

Amazing drinks — delicious cocktails(I highly recommend the lavender + champagne French 75), a nice selection of craft beers of draft, and great espresso drinks. The lavender latte with almond milk + vanilla cappuccino with almond milk hit the spot. I recommend the samosas with two chutneys for an appetizer + Senegalese vegetables(a peanut dish with udon) for the main course. They also have the best vegan dessert ever. Order the coconut whipped cream on anything + everything. I love the restaurant concept, beautiful atmosphere, local artwork on the walls, and the lovely people who work here.

We didn’t even get a chance to try the food… We called ahead just to make sure there would be space. They accept reservations but told us none would be needed, plenty of space in the next 30 minutes… We arrived 30 minutes later only to have them tell us there is now a 25 minute wait! The only way to avoid this would have been to make a reservation… We explained what we had been told and the hostess promptly threw her hands in the air and made no effort to accommodate the situation or even attempt to be sensitive to the inconvenience. We promptly left and took our business elsewhere.

I have to say this is one of my favorite places in town. The food is consistently good, and the service is top notch. I highly recommend it for both breakfast & dinner. The Green Mountain Falls & Shrimp and Grits are awesome!

Expensive mostly vegan food. Use real eggs in the omelets if you are not going to serve real meat. Turkey bacon and assuage in yellow imitation eggbeaters are not my idea of breakfast. The eggs were yellow foam. Skip it if you eat real food.

I just don’t get it apparently. I only ever go with friends/family that want to go, and I’m always underwhelmed. Breakfast can get up to a 3.5 or 4, but not worth a drive out of your way to get here…

Stopped it to grab coffee for the day. Walked up to the bar to be greeted by «What do you need…» rude tone and all. They don’t have a coffee menu posted. So I had to ask what they had and what syrups. Of which I guess the most annoying questions I could have asked. I should have asked how many shot came in a large but at this point I didn’t what to annoy her any further. The flavors were good just wish there was more espresso in mine. The only reason I gave 2 stars was for their house made syrups. They really just need to work on their level of customer service.

Food is unique and delicious! Great for vegans wanting to go out to eat without compromising their diet.

I’ve eaten here a couple of times since the establishment moved. It’s consistently GREAT! The service is awesome. The food is some of the best in town. IMO, the location is a bit more convenient(just because they have a great parking lot now! And it seems a bigger than the previous place). I love all the vegetarian options(given I’m a vegetarian with high expectations!). And if you haven’t tried their infamous black/spiced tea, it’s a must. Take some hope with you too if you are a tea drinker! Just a great place! Every time friends and family come to town, we take them here. Thanks you for being a great restaurant in our community!

I had the red curry panang, belly soothe tea, and the columbine… my friend had the rocking fish tacos,. My experience was great, I love that the drinks are made with organic mixers and organic liquor and liqueur.

Brunch today. Salmon omelette and Tibetan vegetables. Wife liked the veggies. Omelette not so much. Liked the capers and scallions but had 2x the cream cheese it could have. Service was excellent. Second visit, will be back.

We hadn’t researched restaurants here but thought a gf pescaterian would be ok here. Adams more than pleased us! Our waitress was very aware of gf menu items and adaptations. It was so hard choosing from the many options. There were also a good number of interesting sounding chicken dishes. We finally decided, with my hubby getting a cup of very tasty, medium spiced black bean soup that came with a hearty whole grain roll. We split the other choices. The crispy tofu lettuce wraps were delicious with interesting flavors and textures! Salmon enchiladas also had interesting flavors and were well seasoned with small sides of brown rice and lettuce and tomato. The big hit for us was the Sengalese veggies over brown rice(noodles were a non-gf option). Just amazing flavor and vegetables done just right! Topped with scallions and slivered almonds, this was our absolute favorite! We could have licked the bowl! My hubby had fresher brewed Peek’s coffee, while I was delighted with house made spicy orange tea. The waitress said it was unsweetened but the cinnamon made it sweet enough. I’ve heard that before, but always end up adding stevia. Not tonight! I had two glasses of unsweetened delicious orange spice tea! We indulged and split the smoothest, densest flourless chocolate cake ever! Yum! We struck gold coming on Thursday night when there is live music. What a great addition to the extremely comfortable ambiance! I bought the duo’s CD! So, if you find yourself in town, make sure you come to Adam’s!

Beautiful Colorado Springs, Colorado — the land of mountains and crisp, clear skies. Unfortunately, it is not the land of vegan restaurants or even vegan options! I had to reach far and wide to find them and Adam’s Mountain Café was one of my best finds. Nestled in a stone lodge, was a quaint, warm restaurant. With a very old-school feel, the restaurant’s décor was cabin-like with large wood beams across the ceiling and old-school wood furnishings. Me and my friend were seated near the bar. We were warned that Adam’s is all about slow food rather than fast food — real food cooked slowly. That sounds like my cup of tea. The warning came from someone who was insinuating that it may take a long time to eat there. But, it actually didn’t. I started with the Tree Line Martini made with small batch whiskey, Three Pins Alpine Herb Liquor, fresh lemon, house ginger simple syrup, and bitters. It was good, but not fantastic. For dinner, there were a few items marked as vegan on their small menu like a spicy curry. I went with one of the«favorites» — the Sengalese Vegetables. This dish was huge. Served over udon noodles was a mix of snow peas, carrots, onions, celery, cauliflower, and potatoes in a thick peanut sauce. And I added sesame crusted tofu. I found it to be very, very filling and a good hearty meal, but there was a bit too much peanut sauce. I think it needed some fresh herbs for some oomph. Where this restaurant really shined though was with its dessert menu! A menu that changes regularly is printed on a blackboard. There were three vegan options on this day including a rice pudding. But, I ordered the Vanilla Bean Cake because it looked most interesting. The super moist vanilla cake was topped with a lavender anglais and served with cashew cream ice cream. It was spectacular! All in all, of the few options in Colorado Springs, this is one of the best. The main dish was filling and fresh and the dessert was truly spectacular. The service was so-so as the restaurant was very busy. And the prices were high with my main dish being $ 18 alone. With two drinks, a main dish, and a dessert, my total with tip was about $ 60. But, hey, that’s what you get in this small mountain town. I’d recommend giving it a try if you are in the hood.

One word: disappointment. I really want to love this place, but I’ve tried it twice now and it has been a tasteless disappointment both times. I had the huevos rancheros the first time. This time I ordered the Santa Fe Omelette to find that the description of the dish is inaccurate. It is described as an omelette with green chili and white cheddar inside with a tomato, scallion, and sour cream garnish. There was no green chili inside, instead it was raw tomatoes and melted cheese with maybe a tablespoon of green chili on top. While our server refused to acknowledge that this dish did not match the description, she did point out that this is how it’s always served(because that really matters). She let me order a second dish, so I chose the shrimp n grits with two eggs. Aside from being a bit hot(spicy), this dish was tasteless. I reached for the salt shaker at least three times. The description mentioned the grits would be creamy and cheesy. These were definitely not cheesy or creamy grits. They were plain with a dollop of tasteless butter on them. I love what they stand for but sadly, I would recommend going anywhere but here. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

ULTIMATEGREASYSPOON! HUGEPORTIONS! CHEAPEATS!!! When I saw the sign for a «Mountain Café», I knew exactly what that means: the classic Americana Greasy Spoon Café. And it DIDNOTDISAPPOINT! Seriously, it’s everything you could imagine when you hear the words«MOUNTAINCAFE». My hat is off to Adam. I picture him as bearded, Daniel Boone overall-wearin man’s man. It’s exactly what I look for in a Café: EGGSPOTATOESMEATCHEESEANDCOFFEEBOOM! Gigantic portions, you’ll have to loosen your belt buckle a notch before leaving, but it’s worth it! The only thing that was strange for me is that my wife and I were having our own little conversation about politics and our server overheard us, even though it was a very neutral conversation, came over and all she said was«TRUMP, 2016!!!». I thought that was strange and maybe inappropriate considering she she doesn’t even know exactly what we were talking about, and then she was telling us about how Trump is going to keep terrorists out of our country and bring back jobs, etc. Okayyyyyy(?) So that was a little weird, but we love this gem of a greasy spoon breakfast place in Manitou Springs. And special parking for motorcycles is a bonus!!!

We have been to Adam’s many times over the last 10 years. We like it because it is very fresh and sustainable. I am in love with the hot spiced tea. But the menu seems to have been down sized. Also there is only one bread that they serve, so if you do not want grains and nuts in your French toast, you are out of luck. The potatoes are fabulous as always. It is nice you can ask for your your eggs accompanied with any ingredient they have because ITISMADEFRESH. That said it has lost its appeal for us. Primarily because of the down sized menu and limited options(bread). It is still a good place, we mostly likely will not visit it again.

I made it to this new location last week. :) I had not had a chance to give them a go since they moved from downtown. I am happy to report that this is this a GREAT spot for natural, vegetarian, local, organic options. I ordered the harvest crepes and they were not only delicious, but also a VERY large portion! The only complain I have is that the squash inside was quite undercooked. I definitely don’t want mushy squash but when it’s hard to chew that’s a good indicator that the squash is nearly raw. So I hope they take my critique into consideration and maybe cook the squash a bit longer. Besides that it was super tasty! I also TOTALLY appreciate that when I ordered a black tea, they brought us a cup AND an individual teapot of hot water! So the price is for one tea but you get effectively 2 full mugs. They also have options for sweeteners on the table. Honey and brown sugar. I loved it. The place itself is very charming and I love the old table and chairs and odds and ends. Just my type of setting. Beautiful. The staff was VERY friendly and attentive. I love this place.

Pro tip: this is real food. It’s local, it’s sustainable, and it’s fresh. It takes time to make, because they are doing a quality job rather than taking shortcuts like most restaurants. I guess it might cost a buck or two more, because that’s often what happens when you’re actually supporting the livelihood of people who live in your community, but in my experience their prices are pretty well in line with other restaurants. I’ve been eating here for a decade now, and I think I’ve had a bad meal once in those ten years, that about seven or eight years ago. The service is friendly & they care about getting things right. Yes, it’s slower than a «normal restaurant.» See first paragraph. If you are starving when you walk in the door, you are probably going to be frustrated by the time your meal is served. If you need to be eating with in 15 minutes of entering a restaurant, this is probably not a good choice for you. If you want real food that’s cooked after you order it, you’re going to love this place, especially if you’re vegetarian.(My carnivore husband likes this place too, but admittedly not quite as much as I do — he’d probably go 3.5 stars.) To me, breakfast is the best meal of the day here. The veg green chili is faaaaaabulous and has a decent kick to it. I go a la carte and order the green onion-potato patties, smoked salmon, and a side of green chili. I’m trying to convince them they should put this on the menu as «The Poet’s Special» but no luck so far. Portions are quite generous and I usually walk away with a second meal in my to-go box. For lunch and dinner, I know at least three people who practically live for the Harvest Crepes. I myself am a huge fan of the seafood chowder & house salad. They have these awesome rolls that come with the soup & salad, if you’re a freak for bread like I am. And the butter? Seriously, the butter keeps it real, y’all. Also, the Senegalese vegetables are out of this freaking WORLD. I wish I could tell you about some of the other dishes, but I love the chowder & the Senegalese veg so much that it’s hard for me to branch out. You’ll just have to venture out for yourselves. The atmosphere is lovely, too, and has incredible artwork by C. H. Rockey. I recommend making reservations or going at off-hours, especially during tourist season, as this is a deservedly popular place. You can always sit at the community table or the lunch counter, though, if you don’t want to wait for an individual table. Don’t come here if you’re in a rush; if you want to try some of Colorado’s best, though, Adam’s is well worth the wait.

Who knew vegan and vegetarian food could be so good, it must be incredibly difficult to do because you for sure pay the price at Adams Mountain café. Dishes start at $ 14 and go up from there. Cocktails are about $ 9 and a beer is $ 6. Overall the prices are quite shocking for a casual dining experience. I had the fish tacos, they were really pretty good. There was a medoly of very fresh veggies on top, and a beer delicious sauce that you wanted more off. The beans served on the side were TERRIBLE, though. One of the women I was with ordered the crepes and hated them so much she pushed her plate away. When i tried them, i actually liked them, but again they were just too expensive to justify the end product. The server only came once, and absolutely didn’t ask how anything was. In summary while most of the food was good the service was lacking and the prices are crazy for a very casual dining experience.

While I think the food is pretty good here it doesn’t rate a three for me based on price. When your appetizers are as much as an entrée there is something wrong with pricing. I remember this building being a pancake house many years back and I have better memories of meals there than what I had Saturday night. The remodel of the place is quaint. They use French doors as a room divider of sorts to keep the area near the front door from being too open to drafts while keeping the light from being blocked. The exposed beams bring your eye to the ceiling and the hodge lodge of similar but different chairs is kitschy. The waitstaff was all in black, but not in a classy way which would go better with their pricing, but in a super casual unorganized just got out of bed teen look. The food itself was ok but nothing to write home about. The $ 14 Mac and Cheese looked good when it arrived and included Gruyère and asiago in the sauce but tasted a bit gritty by the end of the dish. The turkey dumpling soup was tasty but should have been called turkey veggie, no dumpling to be found. House salad was a nice assortment of veggies. The menu didn’t offer much variety either. There was a lot of fish, a lasagna and a Mac cheese. One friend couldn’t find anything he’d eat other than a salad. Disappointed with the place as a whole. Don’t foresee coming back again.
