Amazing place and great service. I will definitely make it out there again when I visit New York next. Staff was friendly and extremely professional. Price was very reasonable as well!

I took my mom here when we were visiting New York and she loved it! It was very busy and packed, but luckily she was able to secure an appointment. She said the service was great and attentive. I’ll definitely take her here again when we are back in town.

Awesome place!
First of all, I am a stickler for good service and from the moment you walk in, to the time you walk out, everyone is attentive and makes you feel at home. Although the place was busy (as indicated by the photo below), they still make sure to give you individual attention and service.
Will definitely come again next time I am in NYC.

Ask for Annie and you will never be disappointed! The nails last and she is very meticulous. I have used other folks there but always find her to be the best. They have a new management who is not as friendly as the one before but I still recommend Annie!

Stopped into this salon while I was in the neighborhood. I was hesitant based on the Unilocal reviews but I really needed to get a mani/​pedi. Surprised at the low reviews as this place is awesome! Lady greeted me and I was seated right away. Staff was friendly and helpful. My manicurist even went as far as try a few colors to see which would look the best…
As I was chatting with her, found out this place is under new management. No wonder… Cause I could not understand the low reviews. I’ll be back again.

This salon was so horrible it was the reason I made a Unilocal account TODAY– Hopefully i can prevent others from making the same mistake as I did in coming here. Complete rip off, 47.30 for a gel manicure as compared to other places ($ 30 – 40). Not only are the prices outrageous, the staff is rude and unwelcoming. Every time a new customer would walk in, my nail technician would roll her eyes. Not to mention the whole time she was speaking to her co worker which does not make for a relaxing experience… especially for a 50 dollar manicure. Never, ever again.

I have never experienced a business so customer unfriendly. I’ve been turned away for just a manicure at 9pm when they close at 10pm. told no for a 10 minute back massage at 940pm (again when they close at 10pm and the masseuse was available). the manicures I have been fit in for have been rushed and chip immediately. their staff is rude and they rush all customers. the staff is clearly more concerned with going home than actually running a business. this is consistent with all spa belles locations I have visited in the downtown area. please visit the local places instead (oasis nails on w10th and qq nails on Hudson).

Horrible and rude! I live in the area and was going here twice a week to get my nails done. I am 8 month pregnant and they threw me out, asking me to leave and come back another day. Not a clue what was going on there that day but I will never go back. I go around the corner to Oasis nails which is cheaper anyway. Don’t waste your money here.

I will never come back to spa belles, and I want to warn everyone else from coming here. They have the worst customer service ever. Seriously rudest staff ever; anything I asked for, they kept denying, and they were very snippy about it. Better places in the area for better services and cheaper.
I want to come to a spa/​salon to relax, pamper myself, and getaway from the day, not to get more of a headache.

Been coming here since it opened. Today, when I came for my normal polish change manicure, I was informed they do not file with a polish change. This is odd seeing as they have every other time. I had a blatantly jagged nail and I pointed out she could not just paint it as is. She called another woman over (the manager I guess??), who also said they do not include filing in their polish change. Again strange, as they have every other time, but also frustrating as I would have clearly filed the nail by myself ahead of time if that were the case. Instead of at very least giving me the courtesy of a frequent, long-​term customer, they literally charged me an additional $ 6.20 to file my nail. The one jagged nail that required a filing. Pathetic customer service in a neighborhood with nails salons in every block. I’ll be changing to a new salon.

It gives a better impression. I got a pedicure the girl didn’t bother to ask me how I wanted the shape of my toes. She didn’t bother to raise my pants. She didn’t ask me if the water was too hot. The painting was horrible she missed the side of my nail and left a hair in one thinking I wouldn’t notice. I will not be returning because the service was not up what they charge for a pedicure !

The technicians failed to engage any of us. We felt they were lazy at their job– forgetting to cut cuticles and leaving the previous nail color on.
When it came to payment, I gave the aesthetician my card. She returned with a receipt with no «tip» option, while insisting they have a free atm for tip. Upon pulling out cash, the fine print on their machine read that there may in fact be a fee. I ask the receptionist and she insists they do not have a fee, rather my bank will charge me. It all seemed deceptive/​sneaky.
Overall, not the worst experience I’ve ever had, but we will not be returning to this salon.

I came here as a «splurge» since it’s one of the most expensive salons in the neighborhood. I thought that would mean one of the best. The salon is very clean and tidy. However, my shellac manicure and pedicure were quite poor. My pedicure took literally 7 minutes. She basically just washed my feet and put polish on. My nails weren’t really filed, and she spent about 5 seconds using the rough paddle. I didn’t want special callous removal, but she didn’t smooth anything off. I had to file some of the uneven nails when I got home. I opted for a shellac manicure since I’m going on vacation and want it to last. When she finished there were several nails with bubbles, one had a piece of hair. I asked her if they could be fixed, she said the top could would fix it. It didn’t. There are still several bubbles and bumps. I had to peel the hair off the nail when she was finished. The polish application was also uneven around the edges, not clean lines. Overall my aesthetician seemed very grouchy the whole time when I asked her questions. She made me feel like I was wasting her time. I only tipped 12% because I didn’t think the service warranted 18−20%. She gave me a death stare. I won’t be coming back.

It is nicely decorated and chill, and the persons giving the complimentary back rub usually do a nice job. As far as I can tell the place is clean and they make an effort to keep it that way.
Experience can be spotty, my tip is that if you have a technician that gives you a good manicure or pedicure, remember them and return there asking for them by name. I’ve been going to the same person for over a year now and she knows me, my quirks and as I’m a regular usually takes her time and does a nice job.
Overall a decent place for a decent manicure at a decent price.

Really disappointing. After reading the NY Times series about the atrocious treatment of salon workers I thought I’d go someplace with higher rates. I was there on 6÷4÷15.
The manicurist was careful with the prep, but the polish job was totally shoddy. I realized when I got back to my office that only two or three nails were actually painted all the way to the cuticle and now, just four days later, the polish is chipped and flaked all the way around the cuticle on every single nail. Won’t be back.
SAD FACE.

I’m not super picky about pedicures, but I felt like the person giving me mine was mad at me for being there. Heels were painfully over-​grated, cuticles over-​cut, short foot rub, bad polish job and painful nail filing. To be fair, the women around me seemed to be enjoying their pedis, but I think I will keep looking for a neighborhood pedi place for this summer.

Over priced for not that great manicure. Came here in a bind when I only had a credit card so I couldn’t go to my little local place and it was not worth it nail wise.
Nice spa chairs and clean.

A full R rated horror movie.. I went there on a Friday afternoon to feel good and look good and asking for a manicure. What I got was a young lady who jammed my cuticles in every finger as I Unilocaled in pain. Worse I then developed a ravenous infection that I am still fighting with unyielding pain daily. I am not feeling good nor looking good and now cancelling my patients and missing work. When I told the front desk
manager she dismissed me and said I never was there. I brought my receipt and no response. The owner Lee still has not contacted me as pus still
spills from my nail and finger. As a doctor and consumer I am horrified the way I have been treated. Please run do not walk from this place. .A butcher would treat your nails better. And if you do venture in ask Lee the owner to call me. Its been a month of pain, pus and antibiotics.. and no resolution.

This place is great! It’s decorated beautifully with a very calming zen like feel. (It’s also cool to see the number of celebrities who’ve come here and their autographs line the window)
I came in with my mother and we both got the mani/​pedi (she did the gels). I got the basic mani/​pedi with the callus removal and it was great. They were very meticulous and the whole process took about an hour and a half (a little longer for the gels). They also have great massage chairs and even had a masseuse come around for complementary shoulder massages.
I just went to Spa Belles today so im not sure how long the polish will last, but they use Essie and Opi nail polish so that’s a plus.
I definitely recommend this place!
