Since Google won’t publish my review publicly on this shady, unethical business, I will post it here.
I came out of my way to pay them a visit only to be met with someone behind a bulletproof window trying to size me up and lowball me like I’m some impulsive, uneducated fool. I knew I should’ve turned right around and get back into the subway. The AREA itself made me nervous. Once he gives you a «quote» he trying to see if will sell AT THAT MOMENT. If he gauges that you have reservations he will go higher to entice you to sell it to him on the spot. Even if you are only trying to get your item’s value assessed he will still try to get you to sell. There were many moments when he gave me pause. If at any moment you find yourself raising or furrowing your eyebrows like I did, just leave and leave right away.
This is a pawn shop. They want you to SETTLE for an offer well below market rate. Do a little research before you blindly go in for an evaluation. You will be lumped together with the others trying to make a quick buck and will be viewed as such.
I gave them a try because of the decent Google reviews on all Fast Cash NY locations (with this one being the not-​the-​furthest location) but now I can see that any of the potential negative or subpar reviews might not be published or not show up for some reason.
