Bonnie Berman

We hired Bonnie to help us with our Tribeca apartment and it was a really
satisfying and pleasant experience. My husband and I have really different tastes and
ideas and she was able to find a wonderful middle ground to make us both very happy.
The space looks great. I get a lot of WOWS when my friends walk in. It is beautiful, modern and
fresh…I never thought I could have such a pulled together apartment. She also helped a lot with organization.
She was able to find storage in the most ingenious ways. That is something
I really love and appreciate about the way it turned out… it is so comfortable and organized. Everything has a place and there is not clutter.
She was also able to work with many of the pieces my family gave me (some not so great looking) and make
them look really hip by adding interesting and creative accessories. She added a fabulous modern mirror over my 40 year old dresser and the
look is really perfect. So interesting… I never would have thought of that combo.
She listed to what my husband and I wanted and it reflects us both. Not an easy task.
We adore our apartment and would recommend Bonnie… she a true professional with such great taste and imagination.

I never worked with an interior designer before and I was a little nervous. Bonnie
was so kind and understanding of my trepidations. She held my hand during the first part of the job. When I realized how professional and capable she was I
started to relax. I love what we did together and the job amazingly stayed within my budget. I really love the way it came out. It feels new and fresh and organized.
My apartment makes me feel special and I love every inch of it.

what can I say… Bonnie is a gem and real pleasure to work with. She turned my cramped one bedroom beach cottage into a place I cannot wait to come home to. She and I worked together and transformed my home and at the same stayed within my limited budget.

A «Pushy Bitch». This summer I was thrilled to have a chance to redecorate my West Village studio apartment and called a few decorators to get it right. Interior designer Bonnie Berman of NYC Interior Design was the first to set an appointment. I overlooked a few red flags: Buzzing herself into my building and waiting at my apartment door, showing up with a contract and a $ 15,000 budget expecting to sign without a plan and dismissing all of my ideas before hearing them. Everything I had in my apartment was wrong for her «vision». All Bonnie was doing was shooting down my ideas, cutting off my sentences and never hearing a word I said. After 15 minutes she lowered her price to $ 12,000 in materials and her fee, 30% of material costs (she didn’t mention double dipping with her designer discounts). Since I didn’t sign, she left in a huff without even a handshake. Two days later I received an email saying the budget was $ 10,000 and a flat $ 3000 fee if I sign that week. She may be experienced but just a little bit too narrow minded and a lot too aggressive for my laid back lifestyle.
