Went out for my husbands birthday couldn’t have been happier with the food. The menu is small but everything we tried was very good. If you are not that hungry, I highly recommend you eat dessert first. The cheesecake is AMAZING!

Happened in here when shopping for a new car in Manchester, my buddy and I had tried to go the«Mint Bistro» around the corner and it was packed on this particular Friday night. We were going to hit the diner nearby and call it a day but saw the menu in the window of this place and was captured by the Potato Kugle appetizer, it is served with apple-maple-bacon-whisky jam with sour cream and was priced at $ 6.00, with only a few folks inside I figured we would get good fast service which we did. The prices were so reasonable we ordered all three apps offered, Stuffed Mushrooms served with hollandaise sauce, the sauce was done fresh, and the Bacon wrapped shrimp, which was very good. Very fancy drink menu, again, potions were generous and price was extremely fair. For the main course, I had the Farmhouse Risotto, Carrots, mushrooms, and I opted for the poached egg on top, it was perfection. My buddy had the fish tacos, I hate sharing a plate so I can only tell you he said they were great. This place opened in December and they have been struggling, hard winder, road construction, big snow baks keeping people out, the chef and the owner know what they are doing with food, The only reason they are not packed I can figure is a lack of advertising/exposure in the press. I live in Maine but anytime I am down within 50 miles of this place I am there!!! There are many awesome choices in the area, this has to be one you try and if you love it as much as I did return

We made a reservation through open table and got a 7:00 table on a Friday night. When we got there, there were no other customers. The waitress was attentive and friendly. The décor was nice. It looked newly renovated. The bar and kitchen are the center of the restaurant. They only have bottled beer at $ 3 each. Draft would be better. We ordered the Potato Kugle appetizer which was very good. The waitress described it as a Lithuanian specialty. I had the Pork Schnitzel and my wife had the NY Strip steak. Both were OK. The pork was dry and could have had more seasoning. It was also very thick for a schnitzel. It should have been pounded down more. The cabbage salad was good but very minimalist. The steak was tough but flavorful. While we were dining only two other people showed up and sat at the bar. I hope this restaurant does well. It has potential and additional variety in Manchester would be great.

The Lowell Street Eatery opened back in December 2014 in the former Richard’s Bistro, initially only open for lunch. Now they serve lunch and dinner, dine-in or take out in a casual and comfortable atmosphere. The cozy full service dining room with wooden floors offers table seating(with table cloths) and high chair seating at the bar. The kitchen is open concept and visible from behind the bar. The beige painted walls are decorated with modern printed art and light fixtures. As for the food offerings, they now have lunch and dinner menus, bistro style cuisine at reasonable prices. The lunch menu offerings include sandwiches, burgers, veggie burgers, Chicago hot dogs, fish tacos, potato kugle, pan fried fish of the day, soup du jour, salads, thin crust pizzas and house made cheesecakes. Most lunch entrees $ 6-$ 13(pan fried fish of the day). The dinner menu offerings include a variety of specials including NY strip steak, apple raising pork loin, pesto chicken lasagna, pan fried fish of the day, eggplant parmesan, farmhouse rissotto, plus salads, soup, apps(bacon wrapped scallops, stuffed mushrooms, fried mac & cheese potato kugle), cheese plate, thin crust pizzas, The Lowell Burger, fish tacos, and house made desserts. Most dinner entrees $ 12-$ 27(surf & turf). A full wine, beer, and cocktails list is available. While in Downtown Manchester, I stopped by the Lowell Street Eatery for lunch takeout. I ordered the Beef Brisket Sandwich($ 8 plus tax) with fries. The sandwich had several pieces of BBQ beef, which was tender with fat in some pieces and very chewy too, topped with red onions and homemade pickles on a soft kaiser bun. The big pieces of hand cut fries(with skins) were deep fried and salted, soft potato texture inside. The service here was good and prompt My food was ready and packed to go(2 separate microwaveable containers in about 10 minutes after ordering. I will have to this place out again for a sitdown dinner. (3.60÷5.00)
