Food was alright. Biscuits were on the cold side. They were out of hash browns, kids cups, chocolate milk, and other things. When we asked when the truck was coming because we planned to come back in the morning, the lady said she said either today or tomorrow. Being from food management, it’s pretty important to know when your food is coming especially when you’re already running out of so much. Our server was new but she was really nice, took her a while to get to us to take our drink order but after that she was on top of things; Thanks Cheyenne, you were great. I’ll still continue to frequent with my family because the sausage gravy is too good to pass up.

This was my first time at this location. We were seated immediately.(It was 2:20pm; after the lunch time rush and the place was less than half full.) The hostess seated us at a table which still had a fork, straw, and meal scraps from the previous patron.(I ignored this and the hostess did too even though my kids were very vocal about it.) We sat around for 20 minutes watching servers pass and customers seated after us getting served. Absolutely ridiculous! So we made the decision to just leave. I talked to the assistant manager on my way out to let her know of my displeasure. All she asked was to know where we sat.

I’ve come here a few times when I visit my friend who lives in the area. It always ends up being our backup when IHOP or Cracker Barrel are super packed since they seem to get through their crowd much quicker. That being said, there’s nothing wrong with this place and the food is pretty good. They have a little counter area near the kitchen that you can sit at if you don’t need a table for a larger party. I probably would recommend at most a party of 3 sit at the counter. There are more seats than that, but it’s not conducive for large groups. On my most recent trip, I had steak & eggs that were pretty delicious. My steak was cooked perfectly and was flavored very well. The steak sauce that they left on the table was certainly not necessary. I’ll be back again when I’m in the area.

The worst bob evans i ever been. Me and my family are bob evan fans and we decided to eat here after we went from skyline cavern. The restaurant is bob evans. quality of food is so bob thing is the SERVICE, it is not acceptable if u cant let your table out of drinks, sweet tea, coffee for 10 mins. Bob evans food usually serve within 10 – 20 mins. Unless it is full and there is 45 mins wait. but in out case there is only 3 table at the restaurant. Our food came too late, and uts cold! I got some crepes and its cold. The apple is still frozen kids order which is also does my mom’s order a hamburger is cold. I sent back the crepes coz i really want to try it hot. The server forgot to give us more coffee, forgot to bring the banana bread and biscuits. The food is cold because the server would pay attention to her job. When we start telling her what is missing she keep giving us a «bitchy» look. Not good! Not acceptable. if you cant make the costumer happy u should have not be in a costumer service. shame that your dragging this business down

My husband and I come here for breakfast about twice a month. The food is always consistent in quality. The prices are low. The restaurant feels clean. The service is hit or miss. The servers are usually fine but more often than not the hostess stand is deserted. I don’t know how many times we’ve come here and waited over 5 minutes just to be seated, while everyone working the floor glances over at us, no one actually designated to seating guests– so it seems. Then when someone finally does decide to sit us, it’s not uncommon to be lead around the restaurant like a maze trying to find a table, usually stopping at a dirty one that we get to stand by and watch them wash down. If they could only work on the smoothing out the process of seating guests in a timely manner Id give them a 5.

gad I made the mistake in going out to eat on fathers day morning what an idiot move that was. but service great everyone was well over worked but still had a smile on their face and was pleasant as could be, food great my eggs were cooked perfectly, the only thing I would change and this is just a personal preference is a thinner pancake that would crisp up on the hot grill they have the fatter fluffy kind, wait not to bad considering the circumstances. I am just so glad they are not located in Haymarket now that would be a disaster for my waist. so thank you again for a great meal.

We came here for breakfast a couple times after a friend from work mentioned them. The staff is friendly and the building was very clean. They are also one of the only places we’ve been able to find coconut cream pie!

We come to Bob Evans almost every week but will write a separate review for my favorite waiter. This is about the new greeter/possible manager named Kitty. First time I met her she had a negative energy about her. She told me I would have to wait a long time for my favorite waiter. I am more than willing to wait for my favorite waiter Myank. This week it was even more busy. I asked Kitty for a table for 4 in Myank’s section. She laughed in my face. Literally, she laughed very loudly in my face and shook her head«no». She told me it would be a 45 minute wait to 1 hour. Then told me that she would try to seat me eventually while still laughing and shaking her head«no». I have plenty of time to write this review as I wait for my table and listen to her negativity turn other customers away at the door. Many families have walked out after they got a similar reaction from her.

As several Unilocal reviewers have commented, the service at this restaurant could use some improvement. Still, the food is cooked and presented to my liking, so, I can’t complain too much.

This is a great place to have breakfast. They’re known for their biscuits and gravy, so it’s a must try if you come here. My opinion is that their breakfast is better than IHOPs for a chain. Unfortunately, I decided to get the mushroom swiss burger instead and what I got was a patty that was clearly frozen and preformed. Other than that, the burger was tasty with swiss, portobello mushrooms, and spinach in a brioche bun. FYI, stick to breakfast if you decide to eat here.

came here for breakfast. Maybe the cook was having a bad day because all of us(party of 4) felt that our food was on the salty side. Our party ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs, farmers breakfast, and omelette. The home fries seemed to be undercooked as well. there were quite a number of staff onhand, and it was not busy when we dined. There was one large party of 12 on side, our party of 4 in the middle, and then a party of 6 on the other side. They had one person dealing with all 3 parties while the others just assisted. So because of this, it took much longer to get our orders in and orders out. And because we felt that it had taken too long already, we just wanted to get on with our day instead of replacing our orders. We did let the staff know of the saltiness so they could let the others know. We left feel underwhelmed but it looks like it was just one of those days. Not entirely sure if we will be back, but if we do, hope it will be a better experience.

First let me say that I understand what its like to work in food service & retail. Now with that being said I know how hard it is to BE @work @5:30AM& be short handed but don’t reflect it to your customers. I wasn’t greeted & when I tried to engage the gentleman(mrg. I think) not very cordial at all. After I paid, he didn’t say«OK it will be X amount of time for your order or have a seat & it will be up shortly». Nothing Then when my food was ready(delicious) he asked if I had paid I said yes but you didn’t give me a receipt. Good Customer service is key to repeat business. My rating was for the food so this one experience will not keep me from coming back. Diana

Fine dining it ain’t, but Bob Evans does come through with a pretty good breakfast in a pinch. I’d put them just a notch below Cracker Barrel or Denny’s, but definitely better than IHOP. Their signature items are, of course, sausage, sausage gravy, and anything that you can smother with sausage gravy. Of course this means biscuits and gravy — and I like their sausage gravy better than Cracker Barrel — but also concoctions like the Sunshine Skillet. This is an «open-faced» omelet filled wit sausage and home fries topped with a bunch of sausage gravy and cheese and served with biscuits. It’s something I get almost every time. Straying away from their breakfast menu can yield mixed results. The meatloaf open-faced sandwich is a lunch winner, but other sandwiches and entrée salads can be a crap shoot. I’ve only been to this Manassas Bob Evans two or three times, but it seems like any other. The restaurant can often be packed, but they do cycle through tables quickly. Service is generally efficient but often impersonal and occasionally slow.

Breakfast food at this place is always delicious. I love their home fries and pancakes. The place is always busy but the service has always been decent. Very good with larger parties and their food comes in a good amount.

My family stopped by at about 7 pm on Sunday. At these places that were made famous from their breakfast offereings I typically stick to that type of food. I strayed from the norm and regret my decision. I ordered a smokehouse chicken sandwich with fries. I went with a piece of fried chicken instead of the grilled, huge mistake. The fried chicken on the sandwich was a patty of chicken that was lower quality than a frozen generic brand chicken patty you can find at the grocery store. The only thing smokehouse about the sandwich was a piece of bacon that had a little bit of smoke flavor. My wife had salad and chili and my daughter had chicken tenders and chili. They both liked their chili and my daughter’s chicken tenders were much better quality than the chicken on my sandwich but still not any better than a generic brand frozen chicken tender that you can bake in the oven at home. Our server was pretty bad. She was more worried about getting her side work done instead of taking care of the table that she already had. She disappeared for long periods. The only parts that saved the meal were the apple pie that my wife’s grandmother got and the pumpkin pie that my daughter got. The desserts at Bob Evans are very tasty. I do not think I will ever return to Bob Evans but if I do I will definitely stick to breakfast items and sit at the bar for better service.

5 stars for food and our server, Fidel, he was excellent!!! 2 stars for the continued filth of this restaurant. I am attaching pics of our our booth. We come to this Bob Evans about once a month and have been looking at the same dirt!

Nothing special. Typical food you would find at Ihop. The service was average. Seems like a lot of senior citizens come here. I will say that I did like their pancakes better than Ihop.

I like this restaurant. It’s clean, and it has decent parking. The staff is friendly. The food taste good and it gets to your table nice and hot. When you get there be prepared to wait at least 15 minutes during peake hours, because it’s always crowded.

Plenty of breakfast choices! I ordered the homestead breakfast. It included gravy, two eggs, and choice of meat, side, and bread. I had my eggs scrambled, turkey sausage links for the meat, home fries for the side, and a muffin for the bread. The food was good. The restaurant was clean and our waiter was great. I really like how there are healthy alternatives on the menu even if I made different choices that day.
