Excellent food. Try the egg rolls, the meatball dumplings, the string beans, the entrée steak and the homemade hot sauce, at the very least. You won’t be disappointed

I’ve been here about 8 times, it would be more if I were closer. This is a higher end chinese restaurant that uses better quality ingredients like Bill and Evans organic chicken in the peking chicken entrée. They use white meat in everything and it always seems very fresh to me. It changes the bar for what chinese food should be at least in NJ. I like the imperial chicken which is like general tso chicken but a lighter colored sauce and more flavors. The eggplant is another favorite which comes with onions and peppers too. The dry sautéed string beans are the best here! They have a good texture and lots of flavor. If you like peking duck, try the peking chicken which is cut and made into wraps in front of you with scallions and plum sauce. Plenty for 2 people. For appetizers try the veggie dumplings, the dipping sauce is really good! Even if you’re not close to Manalapan, it’s worth the drive! I hope to be back soon!

This place is amazing, as evidenced by the almost guaranteed long wait on many nights. The food is excellent quality and absolutely worth the money(and the wait). Filet mignon egg rolls, dried sauteed string beans, and chicken imperial are some of my favorites. My only wish is that they had a bigger waiting area, because if you don’t find a spot at the bar you sometimes feel like you’re in the way while waiting.

I would say their Chinese Food is pretty decent. I definitely think it is over priced for paying that much for chinese food especially I know I can get much cheaper in Chinatown. Their alcoholic drinks are good too and the zombie drink is strong if you’re a whiskey drinker. Décor: Nice, Modern, Clean Bar: Great cocktails Service: They seem to get frustrated easily and rule no. 1 being a server is not to show your frustration. The only reason why I went here is for a friends birthday because she loves this place, other than that I would go for myself.

Where do i start, the shrimps are large and in charge… The food is just loaded with flavor and freshness. I had about 3 filet minion egg rolls to start, 4 gigantic delicious shrimp and roast pork. Then i ordered the coconut shrimp for my main. As u can tell i was really craving shrimp and that was amazing. i also tasted some other main dishes and everything just made my mouth so happy. And after all that i don’t know how i had desert but i did. They bring u a tray of 7 different cakes. Each one just look so beautiful i didn’t no what to choose. So we picked out 4 cakes and demolished all of them. This placed had no idea what hit it when my husband and i walked in lol. I can’t wait to go back.

Finding an upscale Chinese restaurant in this area was really a nice surprise. The restaurant is beautifully decorated inside and out. There is plenty of parking in the lot. We went during the week and it was surprisingly full. Prices are high for Chinese food but the portions are very big and you can taste the quality! I definitely recommend spending the extra money on the Cantonese style wonton soup if you’re considering wonton soup. My husband ordered the Peking duck and it was cut and prepared table side. Service was excellent. They also have a bar and great drink menu. We will definitely be back!

Good food and drinks. Downside is every time we come feel rushed. Learned to order appetizer to make the evening last. But if you order meal too soon its made before you finish appetizer and comes out cold. Like every good place have to good with the bad.

Went there for dinner tonight with my spouse. We were served 2⁄3 wrong dishes initially which we sent back. Subsequently, I found a huge piece of plastic in my lo mein which we pointed out to the manager and were told while he shrugged«sorry its shrimp wrap» which they use to cover meat. They took the item off the bill, however eating plastic is not what I ordered tonight. Additionally, we did not leave a tip and the waiter came up to us and asked why we didn’t leave a tip? We stated our food was incorrect and had plastic in it however, the waiter still demanded a tip because he said it was the«chef’s fault» We have been going here for the past 5 years and have noticed the service and quality declining. Tonight they sealed the deal and we shall not be returning! All this for NYC drink and food prices in the burbs… NOTHANKS!

Peking Pavilion is a quality Chinese Restaurant that provides a very nice atmosphere, bar, and overall dining experience on top of delicious food. My family and I have been going here for years and the one thing I have realized, and continue to appreciate, is their consistency. I typically order the Chicken Imperial and Peking Fried Rice, which are both incredible dishes, but more recently I ordered the Grand Marnier Prawns which were exquisite. One of the many things that makes Peking Pavillion special is that all their food is delicious. There is nothing that you can order that won’t be delectable and quality. What is nice to see is that they also provide excellent vegetarian options. My girlfriend and I noticed they have Vegetarian Imperial, resulting in her to order it, and both of us thought it was excellent. Essentially, it is the same sauce as the Chicken Imperial but with homemade veggie patties. The only issues that some people might have with Peking Pavilion is that sometimes it can be noticeably loud inside. However, I attribute that to their modern design which seems to not do well with absorbing sound. Also, I can understand why people say that Peking is a little pricy but you are paying for quality, which I have no problem doing. Overall, I highly recommend Peking Pavilion to everyone.

While the service was good, some of the dishes were lacking. To start we decided to try the filet mignon egg roll. If you Remember the TV commercial the saying«where’s the beef» is very fitting. The filet was ground up into miniscule pieces and not very many. It was also very greasy. One of our rushes was the Ma-Po Tofu with pork. There was only 2 pieces of pork for which they charge extra. The dish is marked as being spicy, but there was no flavor at all. Extremely bland which was disappointing. It’s expensive for Chinese and no better than a normal Chinese restaurant. We will never return. Too many better places for less.

DW and I went here on a weekday night out. I had this place bookmarked and had passed it in the road for years. We were seated right away and drink order was taken. We stuck with water and tea rather than do any alcoholic drinks. Food order was taken shortly thereafter. Went with 2 wonton soups, sesame jumbo shrimp, and duck a l’orange. Soups were plated in a larger bowl with 3 wontons. Broth had good color but lacked flavors. Wonton skins were overcooked. Filling was aromatic. Broth contained scallions but no roast pork. Entrees came out in a timely manner. Jumbo sesame shrimp were tasty with ample sauce including black and white sesame seeds. There were no vegetables on that plates. Duck a l’orange was served like Peking duck with no sauce over snow peas. A fluorescent orange sauce was on the side. The duck itself was nicely cooked, but the sauce was a loss. Service was attentive and professional. Wet naps were provided. I was considering 2 stars because I was disappointed in the restaurant and I don’t think we got our money’s worth, but there was nothing really negative about the meal, it just fell short of the hype.

Very disappointed by our visit last night. We’re heard a lot about this place from other locals and admittedly went in with high expectations. The food was ok, but not spectacular. And the service was terrible. Waiter never asked if we wanted another round of drinks after the first one and when we pointed out we never received one of the appetizers, he just said«oh, I forgot it.» We then had to ask that he bring it out now with the entrees; he was clearly just planning to not do so. We ordered a mu shu dish and when it arrived, he dispassionately asked if we wanted him to prepare them and after our entrees equally asked«Did you want anything else?» We’re not fussy people and certainly not high maintenance but come on, don’t make us feel like we’re putting you out. The«filet mignon» egg roll was good, but you didn’t really taste the protein and the mu shu chicken was very light on meat. Next time, we’ll be going back to Crown Palace in Marlboro.

Well well, Pavilion. You’ve redeemed yourself! I was not disappointed this time. I recently came with my wife and children for dinner. We sat on the second floor, and had an exquisite view of the parkway. The restaurant itself is very loud. The staff are very friendly, and the service is good. The décor inside the restaurant is beautiful and really matches the ambiance displayed. For appetizers we ordered egg rolls and the delicious rock shrimp. Both were excellent dishes and made us want to order more. The chef himself came to take our order. For the entreés, my wife and I split the Chinese fried duck. One word: amazing! My son had the mooshoo pork, and my other son had a cheeseburger. None of us were disappointed. The duck was savory and sweet — with just a little hint of smoky flavor. The mooshoo pork was also devine. We will be back.

One of my favorite restaurants. The service usually is not great but the food is awesome. The peppercorn calamari is amazing if you like spicy food. It comes with jalapenos and other fun stuff. I’ve eaten here plenty of times and have never had anything that I didn’t like. It is a bit pricey though. They don’t display prices on most of their drinks.

For the hungry vegetarian, the vegetarian imperial is amazing. The dinner portion is good for two people, or two meals. It is tofu based with a great crisp and chew with a mix of teriyaki and scallion sauce(think general tso’s). Very filling. I think it could use some more veggies tho so maybe split that dish with someone else who orders some vegetable dish. The ambiance was nice and the place was pretty crowded for a Wednesday. Plenty of seating and prompt service. Wait staff was on point and the manager was right at the center of the restaurant looking very attentive. There is a cute outdoor dining area as well. It’s semi-romantic. The ambiance is there as well as the menu but the open concept seating makes the place a little noisy. Overall, a great and established location for higher end Chinese food.

I love almost everything about Peking Pavilion. I mean, is that straightforward enough? LOL In all honesty, this place is pretty great. Awesome décor and ambiance, quality bar(little lacking on the scotch, but no points off for that), and absolutely stellar food — great, subtle combinations and flavors. Think you know high end Chinese food? Wait until you try Peking Pavilion. The filet mignon eggrolls are awesome, as are the boiled and fried dumplings. Fried rice is amazing, and the green bean side(I forget the exact name) is a staple. I usually get the Grand Marnier prawns,(see my picture, not only delicious but beautifully presented!) but I have also tried the Chicken Imperial and some other dishes, and all have been excellent. No qualms about the kitchen whatsoever. Management and staff could be a little better. Managers tend to hover over your table when you are finished eating, ostensibly so they can clear you out for the next group of guests. I am not a huge fan of this behavior — for the prices I am paying here(and make no mistake, this isn’t your el cheapo Chinese food), I want to sit and enjoy my post-meal tea and conversation for a little bit. Overall, put this on your list of restaurants to visit. Barring anything crazy going down, I guarantee you’ll enjoy it.

Beat my expectations… only reason for 3 stars is pricing is a bit on th high side. Id give it 3.5 if I could Lets start with the hot and sour soup. I really loved it. Tons of vegatables and nice amount of pork and tofu. Good pick. just right price 3.95 $ Filet mignon egg roll– well fried and filled. Could of used more mignon for sure. Priced high at 4.95 $ for 1 Entrees Basil Chicken– On point!.. not overloaded with basil but was just right. The light amount of brown sauce made all the difference. Get This! Triple delight– shrimp was excellent and well cooked. Beef and chicken were awesome. Bit more heavier brown sauce but perfect combo with fresh vegatables. This meal was very good Mu shu chicken— very fresh tasting and filling. Perfect pancake served with it. I enjoyed this one alot. All portions are pretty big and will def hit up the spot. Go Here. ill be back
