Catalina’s Pizza

Best place to ever have deliver. The perfect chicken parm, and they’re here within an hour. I order once a week at least and love these guys. Amazing food, good prices, and great delivery time.

Our delivery items arrived hot and fresh. We ordered a large cheese pizza ½ pepperoni and a large mozzarella sticks. First of all the prices were great, but I was even more impressed with the pizza crust. It wasn’t soggy at all and still had a nice crispy crust underneath the generous amount of cheese that was on our pizza. The cheese on the pizza and the mozzarella sticks had that wonderful stringy pull to it that let’s you know it just came out of oven/​fryer. Will order different items in the future, but for the large pizza and mozz sticks combined with fast quality delivery…5 stars!

being new to the area, I gave this place a try. ordered something online for a delivery. their website has a tracker which is pretty accurate so I’ll give em that. but here comes the problem (s). ordered a chicken broccoli alfredo pasta, fries, and a caesar wrap. the pasta tasted funny; the ‘alfredo’ sauce was chunky rather than smooth and creamy. the caesar wrap didn’t have fresh lettuce. and the fries never came.
I called them back and said I didn’t receive my full order. the guy who picked up said he would send someone out right away but I never heard from them ever again…
after reading these Unilocal reviews, I guess I’m not the only one who has had an incomplete delivery order. such a shame. on to the next place, I guess.

pizza slice wasn’t old and they use GLOVES! yaay
fresh with a juicy layer of cheese and just enough sauce. not too oily either. i like more sauce thats why the 4 stars

Terrible service, mediocre food. This is the second time I ordered a sub on my 30 minute lunch break, and they didn’t even start cooking it until 25 minutes in. The owners lack any social skills as well, and were not all apologetic. With the plethora of options nearby, don’t waste your time with this place

So this place has won me back.
Prices are amazingly competitive. The quality of food has returned I feel. Didn’t try a huge variety of items my first time back but I was very happy with what was received.
Chicken Bomb style sub was tasty along with the great salads.
Jalapeño Popper and Broccoli Bite apps can’t go wrong.
The delivery was fast!
4 Stars because the quality is there along with price!

I have had several enjoyable meals from Catalina’s, but the atrocity I just received was ridiculous. I paid nearly $ 15 for seafood lasagna and what i received was ice cold lasagna noodles with a bland sauce and some of that frozen mixed seafood in the bag that tastes ridiculously fishy. The «marinara cream sauce» was nonexistent and I felt like I was on an episode of Candid Camera. There was no cheese, which I would have forgiven if the invisible cream sauce was actually on it. This meal has made me iffy about ever ordering from there again!

My favorite pizza in the area. Decent price and good portions. Friendly staff. Love their veggie lover’s delight.

This place is great I been going there for a little over a month, because I started working up the street and Osmin that is usually always there greets me with a friendly smile and calls me by my first name, it’s a very friendly environment and if you are trying to eat healthy they have about 20 different salads so you won’t get tired of eating the same salad everyday. Thanks you for the great customer service!!!

After such a great first experience, the food went down the tubes. 2^nd time I thought maybe just a bad night. 3^rd and 4^th times, consistently bad. The good news is Bertucci’s delivers now!

Was in an emergency situation, we had starving people (I mean for real) and I ran in and explained that I NEED that pizza! I am sure this pizza was for someone else (and I am sorry) but words cannot convey the urgency… Thank you Caralina’s.

I will absolutely never order from this place again. My boyfriend and I went here for lunch because he lives in the area. We took a little while to order because this place does have a great selection. We decided to order a steak and cheese on a wheat wrap with buffalo wings, sweet potato and regular fries (the boyfriend does not like sweet potatoe). When ordering the steak and cheese, the man asked what kind of cheese, and I told him the kind of cheese that comes on a steak and cheese which I’m assuming is American. He asked us what we wanted on it repeatedly and we said just mayo lettuce and half with ketchup. We decided to eat inside the place and not take it to go. He told us it would be 10 minutes (which it wasn’t). And when they brought us the food the wings tasted like they were old. Finally they brought us the steak and cheese which was intact not a steak and cheese but rather a steak tip wrap which had like 4 pieces of steak, cold cheese and Chunky lettuce.
We still decided to eat it because we were in a rush however the steak tasted over marinated with an adobo like seasoning. The fries were also okay. I asked the man if he carried shaved steak and cheese sandwiches and he said yes and I told him that’s what we wanted. He said he must of gotten confused which I can see why because I know he had a thick accent however we were in a rush. I feel like he could’ve offered something else like a free pizza slice or drink or even my money back. As we were leaving the restaurant (which is clean on the inside and well put together) my boyfriend overheard a phone conversation over another disappointed customer who complain that their delivery order was incorrect.
It seems like this place is very disorganized and very careless and their food quality wasn’t special whatsoever so I would definitely not be going back

NEVER AGAIN!!! Waited 55 min for food and when it got here they sent the wrong food! I call back the kid gives me attitude and tells me to eat that, no I want what I ordered! So then I wait another hour to get what I wanted! 2 hours all together and my smoothie tasted like dirt!

This place is cheap and has very fast delivery which is nice. But the food isn’t anything special. I got the French country salad and they didn’t put the beats on it. Also it was suppose to have grilled asparagus and it was basically raw. My boyfriend got the calzone with pineapple and ham and it was decent. A little bit soggy like they used canned pineapple and didn’t drain it. I don’t know if I would order from here again.

I’ve called here many many times, and this is the last one. It doesn’t matter what you ask for, you’re not gonna get it. The recipes are good, the quality is good, but their staff sucks. I’m really sorry whoever owns this place because your food is good. But if it’s not what I ordered (literally [almost every time]) I’m not gonna keep ordering from your business. If you’re wondering who was working, I got my delivery today and it’s always the same girl on the phone.

I dont know where to begin… so we were sitting at home and I forgot to take something out for dinner (I use that excuse several nights a week) and thought lets look for somewhere to go…
So I went to Foodler and found a close pizza shop that was actually TRIPLE points. SCORE, how did I miss this before.
So we figured lets give them a shot.
Hubby got a Cheese Pizza (how hard is it to F*** that up?!) Ooh just wait
The rest of shared an Asian Chicken Salad (it had canned peas on it), Steak Bomb (Uh Oh) and some fried Mushrooms…
So a little over an hour later (place is about 4 blocks from me but with all this snow and the roads lately — I expected a wait)
Food comes — Guy rings my doorbell maybe 374 times — Im on the second floor give me a moment to get there & then is SUPER rude when I get there — like throws the food at me & walks away…
Get upstairs & the pizza box feels empty the whole time Im walking upstairs and I open its the thinnest pizza ever, wish I took a pic of it sideways its like paper thin… and it was cold — Hubby had to literally microwave it before eating… I wonder if extra cheese would have made it actually stay together as it was soo thin when it was cut all the slices separated (ok enough rant about the pizza) but it was actually OK tasting had it been warm it might have been much better
The salad like I mentioned had canned peas on it… The description said peas but I thought maybe they would go with the whole asian theme & MAYBE they were wasabi peas, BUT NOPE… Canned peas. the chicken was flavorless and just lacking… Their salad menu was EXTENSIVE but this made me not so hopeful of future salad items.
The mushroom (6) were just Meh… Ranch dressing was good but they were obv frozen mushrooms (which I should have expected from the Corner Pizza place…
The sub (I dont know — it never came)!!! So I called back & told them the order that was just delivered (Oooohh backing up as soon as I placed the order the restaurant called me to confirm how I wanted the sub cooked — so weird that of all things to not come its that))!!
So I call them back & the kid who answers is like «Umm I dont know what you are talking about» someone else then gets on the phone I explain the sub didnt come and he says he will make another one & send it over… Then about 30 mins later I get a call Im downstairs, so we went downstairs and waited 5 mins NO ONE THERE… Then I call back & again the Kid has no idea what Im talking about and the other person gets on the phone again & I explain — there is NO ONE THERE. to which he starts yelling about the driver and calling him an idiot… Then he apologizes (and I will say this second man that I kept talking to was nice & TRYING to help the situation, but at this point its been 1.5 hours since the original order and I dont even want the sub anymore) he tells me, the driver isnt answering my calls please let me call you back…
20 more minutes NO CALL — at this point I dont want the food, I just want my $$ back… He says, Ill make you a new sub & drive it over myself. Im like no Thank you (ooh I had to call them back too — they never called me back) I just want the $$ — He offers to recredit the foodler (he also offered me free items next time — but I dont think there will be a next time)… I hang up, sad because the menu was QUITE extensive & they had several great sounding things and TRIPLE POINTS. .but the Hubby refuses to go to places that royally screw up the first time. So I hang up & am just done with the whole event…
Then the man calls me back 20 mins later, turns out the driver went to a Diff address (keeping in mind he had already delivered to me that evening the other items — Unless it was a diff person) and at that diff address the people took the sub… So he was sorry and should he make another one, to which I just laughed again and said No thank you just a credit… WHO TAKES SOMEONE ELSES FOOD!!! Weird… Maybe Ill try them again in a few months when there is no snow and people arent soo crazy!

Maybe if you want to eat junk it’s good? Was desperate for steak and veg. It’s late. I’m tired. Don’t feel like cooking. This place has high reviews, near home, and still open.
I got fried zucchini (splurge), steak tips, and salad. Zucchini was so hard barely edible. Steak was tiny nubs and tasted like the beef of a Chinese beef teriyaki and was so salty my tongue hurts. The rice tasted VERY strange? Couldn’t eat it at all. Salad was lazy. Only way I know how to describe it. Lazy and uncaring food.

I’ve ordered pizza from here twice and… It’s the most sub-​par pizza ever… Very hard chewy crust with a blah taste and texture. Come on! The crust is a big part of the pizza! Slow delivery, over an hour for my over-​priced burnt cheese steak pizza (skimpy on the steak, especially given the price) and overcooked chewy fries. The food arrived at room temperature, not hot at all. Last time I got the Mediterranean pizza, the olives are over-​salty and nasty, picked them all off. Many other good pizza joints in the Malden area – this one is a big time letdown for me. $ 16 for a SMALL cheese steak pizza here versus $ 15 for a LARGE delicious one at Café Roma… Won’t make that mistake again. Sorry, not sorry. Eh.

Catalina’s steps up your run of the mill pizza/​sub order… incredibly fresh with unexpected little touches make the price well worth it.
Chicken Caesar wrap with a slice of parmesan… Italian calzone with the most delightful dough… great sub rolls… oh, and they have shakes.
Best part… quick and friendly delivery. Multiple orders to work and home have had consistently quick (30 – 35 minutes) with pleasant and courteous delivery drivers and hot food.
You might spend a little more than you would expect for a sub, but it will be worth every bite!

I stopped by here for a quick lunch at 11:30AM. I couldn’t really read the menu as it was written in chalk and badly faded, but I came, I saw, and I wanted that beautiful cheese pizza sitting there spinning around.
$ 1.75 a slice for cheese? Yes!
Did it taste as good as it looked? Oh yes! The cheese was delightfully chewy, as it should be. This indicates that they use quality low-​moisture whole milk mozzarella. The crust was crispy and chewy at the same time. The sauce was a bit uneven, but tasted pretty good! The fact that there are parts of the slice that taste more basil-​y than other parts suggests that they make their sauce from scratch.
Was it greasy? Just a little bit, but it’s all from the cheese.
I love pizza with toppings as much as everyone else, but if I am to judge the quality of a pizza, it has to be a basic cheese slice to evaluate the quality of the cheese, sauce, and crust. This place gets 5 stars in all three of those areas!
The cashier was pretty friendly too!
