I’ve never been to their original location, but the food here is fantastic. I’ve been going regularly recently, and have never had a bad burger from them. I love potato wedges, so their fries are a hit with me… and I even like their onion rings. Another plus is that every time I go in I see the owner, it’s so good to see a great business in Downtown Lynn and an owner so invested in its success. My favorite is the Blackjack burger, and I recommend getting half fries/half onion rings with any burger. It does sometimes take a few for these to come out, but it is worth it.

We were here prior to a concert, so we knew they would be busy. We were seated pretty quickly, and service took a bit, but the place was packed, so no real surprise. I gave it 3 stars due to the meal itself I ordered a burger, well-done, and a beer. The burger arrived so raw in the middle you could actually have still shaped the meat. With the big crowd and the time constraints, there was really no time to play the«send it back over and over» game, so dinner, for $ 16.00, was a beer and few greasy french fries. I was very disappointed.

Tried to go into RF O’Sullivan’s after a show at Lynn City Hall– a few doors away. But the bar was closed — and it was around 10 pm. I was disappointed!

Just found my new favorite restaurante, RF O’Sullivans in Lynn. Best burger i’ve ever had-thick, juicy fresh ground sirloin and the giant frys and onion rings top it off. Place is tastefully decorated and very clean. Staff very friendly and polite. A jewel on the north shore

I had a empire state burger, medium with bacon. The burger was cooked perfectly. Our waitress was very polite and friendly. My friends burgers were delicious as well! Texas approved burgers!

LIARS and no respect for customers… My friend made a reservation months ago as we were going to a concert tonight. A week ago she called to confirm the reservation. They said they didn’t have it but told her she did now and we were all set. We arrived tonight to an hour wait and were told they don’t take reservations on concert nights. Funny that was never mentioned either time we called. I have been wanting to try this place, now I have no desire to go to a place that has absolutely no respect for their customers… plenty of other places in the area to spend my money!!!

Went again and was not disappointed; the French fries are a meal themselves. The burger selection is sure to please any carnivore and you can wash it down with a good beer. Parking is on the street so it can be challenging but overall, the food, service and ambiance overcome the parking issue. Since A&B burger closed, this is the best alternative in the area.

This place was recommended to me by a local waitress, so I figured why not… Well, what an awful experience, besides having to step over homeless people to get in the door, and fearing your car would get stolen while your inside, the food was terrible. Not only did we wait for 45 minutes for a burger… There were only 4 other tables occupied while we were here… The food was an utter disappointment. My burger was burnt, like charcoal on the outside. But better yet I bit into a piece of bone. I took one bite and was done… I didn’t want to cause a scene as I was with people, but this was awful. If you want a good meal and value your safety go elsewhere.

Saw the promotion on Phantom Gourmet and decided to give it a shot. Location: The restaurant is located in downtown Lynn. Not a great neighborhood. Lock your car. Parking: No parking lot– you rely on street parking and there’s a 2 hour limit. I did not have trouble finding a spot on a Saturday evening at 8 pm. Lucked out– got a spot right in front of the restaurant. Ambience: Restaurant is new and it’s clean. The bar is small– maybe seats 12 – 14. The dining room seems like it would be good for larger groups coming from work, or maybe to watch a big game as they have a tv in the dining room. On the night we went, it was on the loud side. There were a few big parties of families. Customers looked happy and were having fun. Service: Absolutely no complaints. Our server was friendly and did his job well. The Phantom Gourmet video said to expect to wait a while if you order the burger because they don’t fork the burger or use a spatula to press the meat down. Our meals were on the table very quickly,(before we even finished our appetizer) so not sure if that was true. Food: I ordered the steak tips and rice for $ 15. I ordered it medium well– they were overcooked to beyond well done. Regardless, I ate them and they were still delicious. They use good quality steak! I ordered the rice. My rice was fine– definitely fresh and home made, but bland. I wished they had another healthy option to chose from. A side of vegetables would have been better for me. My son ordered the burger that had the egg on it. Said it was burnt on the outside, but it was a good quality burger. He liked the onion rings, but didn’t care for the steak fries. Nothing wrong with them– they’re just huge and heavy dark fried planks. They sort of overwhelmed the plate. Drinks: There was a good selection of beer. They have low end wine. We’re talking communion wine. Beer is their thing, so order a beer. Bill: My bill was $ 60: $ 10 appetizer(buffalo wings), $ 11 burger, $ 15 steak tips, 2 beers 6.25 each and $ 9.00 for a glass of vino. I found this restaurant on par with the Lazy Dog, but glad to see the downtown area revitalized with new restaurants.

Great burger selection. Great service. Best onion rings I’ve had. Wife and kids had burgers too and all left happy. We will definitely go again.

This being a new addition to the Lynn area, My wife and I decided to give RF’s a try. Upon arriving, We found the outside of the building had amazing curb appeal, beautiful fixtures, the wood looked great. Just a very clean appearance. When we entered the building we found that the interior décor was your typical walls filled with signs, objects everywhere carbon copy of a typical restaurant chain. We decided to sit at the bar and were greeted by a very nice bartender. Got our drinks offered up the menus and let us know of the specials. I ordered the Smoked Gouda Burger with fries /ring combo, My Wife got the Bacon Burger with fries /ring combo. Both ordered medium rare. We got the plates with a bit of a wait. I was amazed at the size of the fries and Rings The burger presented well. The down fall starts here. I bit into one of the fries, this was so hot it burnt the inside of my mouth pretty bad. I warned my wife to be careful. The rings were golden on the outside but pastey undercook and cold on the inside and had no flavor. Both burgers were quit raw and had no flavor. This being said, I do not send food back. I deal with what I have. But here is what bothered me more, We could see right into the kitchen and watched the burgers being pressed with bare hands. A gentleman who may have been a manager was grabbing and eating food from the kitchen from who knows where, then brought plates out without washing his hands. This took place after we finished our meal. The people in the front were great and spot on Bravo. The back needs some lessens in food handling and hygiene. Not a good visit for us.

Strong 4– Was utterly and pleasantly surprised, make that thrilled to discover that the Somerville establishment which is home to my personal best burger in Greater Boston was opening a 2nd branch in scrappy yet steadily improving downtown Lynn, as luck would have it close to the beginning of a stretch of work I would be doing in the area. I was even more thrilled to discover that the delicious burgers were pretty much indistinguishable as the ones served at the original location, ditto the delectable and huge fries and onion rings(always go for the half & half option). The burgers are huge yet deliciously flavorful, blood and juices dripping down onto the fries and rings out of the medium rare burger(must be ordered this way). The fries are more large potato wedges in reality, and are matched in size by the rings coated with a perfectly crisp batter. Outside of the burgers, I was also pleased with the version of the locally beloved dish of steak tips. While the presentation fell short of the beautiful display serve ed up across town at the Lazy Dogs Sports bar, they were certainly among the best I have sampled across the metro, wonderfully juicy and flavorful thanks in part to the aggressive marinade. While the décor, much like the somerville original is pretty much generic faux Irish pub, the service is the best that can be found at these type of establishments. The owner has wisely decided to transfer some of the popular and professional veteran staff members from the original to the new location, as well as spending the majority of his time here personally overseeing things here while it gets off the ground. So far his hard work and attention have seemingly paid off, as the grateful residents and workers have steadily filled the place on both middays and evenings on any occasion I have stopped by. This new and very welcome addition to this downtown is yet another example of the slow yet steady momentum that is going in this historically maligned city spearheaded by far sited and dedicated business owners opening quality establishments and bringing the place up from the inside out.

RF O’Sullivans in lynn has a little way to go to reach the quality of the Somerville location. The wait staff is a little inexperienced, bit that will come with time. The burgers seem smaller than the hand packed burgers in Somerville. I ordered the Out of the Blu burger, which is a Bleu cheese stuffed burger. The amount of Bleu was disappointing. One bite and it was gone. My wife got the Sicilian with peppers and onions, which they forgot the first time around. The fries are steak fries, so order the onion rings. I will try again in a month or so to check the progress.

We had been waiting patiently for this place to open. Tonight we went to see what it was all about. The building curb appeal was beautiful, the inside décor was nice. They sat us very quickly. Our waitress was super nice and informed us that today was her first day. So we braced ourselves for a long night. We ordered 2 ginger ales($ 5.00ea) and it took her a while to get them because the bar was backed up. We didn’t order an appetizer, so we ordered our dinner. I had the Raging Cajun burger with onion rings($ 10.95) with a side of sweet potato fries($ 6.95-because you can’t subsitute the fries or onion rings) and my boyfriend had the Blackjack burger with onion rings($ 10.95). It took almost 30mins for the food to come out and to be honest, it wasn’t that great. The fries and onion rings were very greasey and tasted like the oil was old. The burgers weren’t that great either. They were kind of bland. Juicy but bland. Compared to the Boston Burger Company, there is no comparison. BBC wins hands down. I don’t know if they were having an off night but tonight they weren’t at there best. Maybe I’ll go back for lunch in a few days and see if any of there other food is good.

Thank you for bringing your business to Lynn! The menu is extensive with an excellent selection of burgers to choose from. I have been 3 times so far… Trying the Paddy O, The French Dip, and The Dirty Bird. All burgers were made with fresh ingredients and passion which came across. Where I have to voice my concern comes to the pricing. It is 10+ for each burger plate which is pricey enough. The lack of refills is also an easy way to run up your bill. Lastly, as an avid craft brew fan I would have to say a beer for 6+ dollars makes me think twice about ordering another round. Its a matter of business model… If you give me 2 beers at 12 or 3 beer at 15 I will take the 3 beers every time. Overall an excellent dining experience and my wish is for more business owners to follow suit… Lynn is the future.

I was waiting for this place to open for quite a while now. The exterior of this establishment is what struck my interest before I knew what it was going to be. As I heard, and read about the opening of RFO’s it quickly became the talk and was anxious and excited for its opening. I figured lunch time on opening day would be a good time to check it out… Very nice place inside and out! You could even tell it was the staffs first day as they were hustling to please as much as possible and learning as they go. The BlackJack Burger with Cajun seasoning and Cheddar quickly caught my eye on the menu. It was perfect. Extra large steak fries were excellent as well. Large beer battered onion rings are not my favorite although they were actually really good! Great selection of beer on tap. Was surprised to see Sam Summer this early on draft and decided to go with it. Will definitely return to try some other Burger selections for sure. Parking is a bit tight in the immediate area, although there is available parking just down the street when all local spots are taken. Great addition for a better downtown Lynn!
