My mother and I were on vacation skiing at Okemo mountain and stumbled upon this adorable shop. Tina carries unique pieces that you cannot find anywhere else. She has something for people of all ages, and excellent accessories. I disagree with the negative reviews on Unilocal,Tina was very helpful and was a terrific sales person. Do yourself a favor and check out the best women’s boutique in Ludlow!

I visited this shop only once and it was an extremely uncomfortable experience. It’s one thing to be helpful but I don’t like being followed around when I shop. I appreciate recommendations but the saleswoman, who I assume was Tina, kept chiming in to show me items I wasn’t interested in. She gave me her schpiel on how she knows what looks best on different body types and has been doing this for 20 years. The items she pointed out were not flattering to my body type and I might have actually bought something if she wasn’t breathing down my neck. When I asked if a particular sweater came in a Large, she told me that ‘Tina’ doesn’t carry that item in a large because it wouldn’t look good on a bigger woman. Meanwhile, I was wearing a very similar sweater at that moment. The whole experience was rude and annoying which is very unlike the other shopkeepers I have encountered over the years in Ludlow. I left the store feeling really irritated and was made to feel like I was some kind of fat slob. There are plenty of other shops in the area, no need for me to return. I’m sorry to hear that others have had similar experiences but it did make me feel a little better that it wasn’t just me. If you are a petite and small breasted person, you may have a better experience shopping here.

Great selection, went in today and found a load of fun things. Loved the comfortable banter with Tina, not offensive, just charming. I still have clothes I purchased in ’95. Still stylish, definitely collectible.

I’ve been reading the reviews to this shop and im feeling a little better about my strange encounter with Tina. My friend and I walked into the shop, I took one look around and was pretty impressed with her beautiful merchandise. Im not going to go into detail with what happened but it’s best to keep talking with her to a minimum. She’s obviously keeps a beautiful store, but is a very bad saleswoman. I was so aggravated with her strange and borderline rude comments(and I really do have a lot of patience) I was ready to run for the door. I felt like I was on some sort of a prank show. I give her 3 stars because she has pride in her beautiful store, but she really should not be dealing with customers.

I gave one star because I don’t know if you can write a review without any stars. Also there were some cute things in the store, HOWEVER, Tina is the rudest person I’ve ever encountered In a boutique. Business must be so good that she can insult her customers to the point they leave the store and cry all the way home. She’s a terrible business person. I think nothing of spending a lot of money on clothes and jewelry. Unfortunately, I won’t be spending any $ at Tina’s because she told me(three times in 5 minutes) that she’s been dressing women for bla bla whatever years and there is nothing in her store that would fit me! I pointed to a little jacket with spandex and said«you mean to tell me this won’t fit me»? And she said it wouldn’t. I left. Ok. I am by no means thin but I wear a size xlarge or 12 at Anthropilogie and Sundance etc. Sadly Tina will fail not because of her«years» of experience in the business but because of her general lack of a filter on her fresh, mean mouth and her attitude. To bad.

Tina’s is a hidden gem on what’s probably the coolest street in central Vermont. She’s got an amazing selection of women’s and men’s clothing from designers that are nearly impossible to find outside of Boston &NYC in the northeast. Great jewelry from local artisans as well. Stop in before having a great meal next door at Downtown Grocery or across the street at Stemwinders.

Wish my experience with Tina was as good as the other Unilocalers here. I applaud Tina for battling a rare form of cancer, and for donating her profits to research. Other business owners should be so giving towards charities that they believe in. Another Unilocaler commented that Tina was direct, without being rude. Unfortunately, this was not the case for me. When I looked at a cashmere sweater for $ 320, she pronounced that it was probably out of my price range. Cleary, she didn’t see the Kate Spade bag that I was carrying. As I believe others do, I put money into the things that I plan to keep for a while, and for me handbags and cashmere both definitely fit in that category. As a woman of let’s just call curvy and«Rubenesque» proportions, Tina told me multiple times that she worked hard to carry women’s sizes as well as misses. That amounted to one blouse, and a couple of pairs of jeans. When I walked in, she took one look at me and said, «honey, I could do so much better than that.» Not really the way that you want to start a shopping trip. In the time that I was there, she put me in the jeans, and the one 1x shirt and pronounced that it was so much better than what I walked in wearing. My husband(who is very sweet) asked what I thought, I said that the button down blouse that had no shape(no darts, or seams at the chest) and was hanging an inch and a half off of my shoulders at either side would be better if it was the right size and more fitted — but both he and I liked the color on me. So I grasped some of the fabric at my back to show him, and he replied, «oh, that’s better.» But Tina came over and asked what I was doing, that the blouse was perfect for me — skimming my body, and making a long, straight line. A blouse that’s at least a size too big was clearly not«skimming.» Billowing was more like it. But I did like the jeans, so I put my own top back on with them, again to show my husband. Tina pronounced the blouse«all wrong» and that I needed to cover it to minimize my bust, as she was doing.(When I walked in, she was wearing jeans, boots, a plaid shirt and a long red corduroy vest.) I don’t recall saying that I wanted to minimize my bust. I know that I was never a personal shopper at Macy’s(she mentioned that she had been no less than four times, and that the information that she was giving me were facts and not opinions, but I didn’t have to listen to her if I didn’t want to) but I have watched my share of «What Not to Wear» and if I heard Stacy and Clinton say something about a belt at your smallest point giving you shape, and making you look smaller once, I heard it a thousand times. So she kept putting big, bulky sweaters, vests, and jackets on me. At this point, I’m sure you’re wondering what we were still doing there, but as I said earlier, my husband is a nice guy, and he wanted me to buy something nice for myself, and he cared about the woman who had endured cancer, and thought it noble that she was donating her profits. And we still had a half hour before the train would be back to pick us up.(See the Green Mountain Railroad in Chester for that review.) So I was trying to decide if I wanted to buy a pair of comfortable, dark wash, straight legged jeans from a woman who was completely patronizing towards me. In the end, the answer was no, but I guess that a one star review is appropriate here: if I had not come in, I would not have been made aware of the brand of jeans(Jag), which I went home and purchased online from Zappos — two pairs for LESSTHAN the price of one at Tina’s. Bottom line, as long as you are under a size 10, built like a rectangle, and don’t mind looking like you are completely curveless, you might enjoy shopping at Tina’s. P. S. After reading this review to my husband, he wanted me to add that we did make a small donation to the Chordoma Foundation, and that you should check it out as well. Thanks to Tina for bringing it to our attention.

Spent a fun couple of hours here this Saturday — totally unexpected. Was just wandering through Ludlow with my friend and came across the store. We had such a blast. Tina was so interesting and interested in us. She had us try on various outfits and had a fabulous eye for what would work for each of us. Sometimes this kind of attention can come across as pushy but she wasn’t at all — she was very direct about what would work or not and she was spot on. The clothes are very reasonably priced and good quality — obviously a lot of thought has gone into the buying for a relatively small retail space. It was a really fun and unique shopping experience and I bought some fabulous pieces. Tina is a very inspiring lady!

Tina’s is a fabulous boutique in Ludlow with unique and high quality clothing, shoes and accessories. Many of the items they carry are local from VT. Tina & Liz are fantastic — very helpful and have such a great eye for fashion! They make each client feel special. My favorites from Tina’s: amazing stretchy leggings and army green with buckles rain boots! I can’t wait to come back for more.
