My boyfriend and I adore this place! It’s a great little spot for students to sit down, and chill out. My personal favorite is their lip-smacking chili, but you can also make-your-own wrap or sandwich so that’s pretty awesome. They are timely, tables and floors are clean and they always have interesting music playing. This place is definately worth checking out. The only down side is that they are closed in the winter.

Kind of off the beaten path place to go. Not that it’s tucked way. It’s actually on a main road right across the street from the Lowell Boat Club. I meant that it’s just off on it’s own not really in a business area. Not sure if that helps or hurts their business. Anyway The Bite shares a space with Orchard Hill Ice Cream which give it twice the reason to go here. Sandwiches are interesting and yummy. I wanted to get the lobster bisque on a Half and Half order but they didn’t have it. But the clam chowder was delish too. I asked the guy who worked there where they got their soups from. I think he said the Boston Soup Factory or something to that effect. Anyway the name rang a bell and I’ve always heard good things about their soups. Saving room for ice cream I ordered the Totally Turtle frappé and it Totally hit the spot. Another spot on my list of «When I’m in the area» places to go.

super great service by the gentlemen making our sandwiches, the girl at the counter was a little grumpy, but maybe she was having a bad day. great vibe inside, serve in homestyle, eclectic dishes. yummy fresh food, small menu but they make it great! buternut bisque was fantastic!!!

I have been to the place several times. The atmosphere is cozy and clean. The sandwiches are really fresh and good. The price is a bit high but the cold sandwiches are good sized and come with chips so it is worth it. The panini’s are smaller, but the tree hugger is to die for! The chili has a bit of a kick but not overpowering. The butternut squash soup was great with a nice sweetness to it. Overall a great place to grab lunch or a light dinner when you dont want grease and fat in your meal. You wont be disappointed.

Walking distance from UMass Lowell, this café is cozy, welcoming, you can sit and study before your class, and you can’t beat the location. It is located on the walking route between North and South Campus, on the river, with a great view. But the top point for me, and what makes it a five star, is that they make the best durned sandwiches in the area. What your mum would make ya! And the prices are great. Love it!

Oh the bite, i can’t decide if this place is a love bite or the bite of a vampire. i’ve been to the bite 5 times now, each time ordering a custom sandwich that is usually pressed. i’de have my sandwiches toasted, but they lack a toaster oven, they only have a toaster and press. the great thing about this place is that you can put almost anything you want on your sandwich and they have a decent variety of breads to put it on. the staff is always friendly and helpful(it’s connected to the ice cream shop so samples are always nice!) with this praise you would expect 4 – 5 stars, but alas, 3 stars. the reasons are the mistakes here. probably due to the fact that it’s staffed by college students? i’m not sure. my first sandwich had a hair in it. not the end of the world, but you know, not the best either. my second sandwich made me pretty sick a few hours after i ate it. all the sandwiches are made in the basement, i question the cleanliness. my third and 4th were spot on(if you order to dine in, you get chips, take out gets no chips. odd no?) my 5th was today. i ordered the triple on white bread toasted. i was told that the cheese would not melt so i opted out of the american and provolone and went with the fresh mozza only. i get my sandwich and it’s toasted white with mozza and bacon. they completely forgot the basil and tomato, i ate it anyways, but c’mon. if i order a certain item and hold 2 of the cheeses you should still realize i want the rest of the stuff. tsk tsk. i’ll give this place another 1 – 2 tries. mainly because i like quick lunches with ice cream for dessert. go here if you like a decently priced meal with friendly staff. stay away if you a hair will freak you out.

The bite is a yummy, low key sandwich and soup shop attached to an ice cream parlor! I have been a couple of times now and the sanwich selection has been delicious. The first time I went I had a caprese sandwich with fresh pesto on ciabatta bread with a cup of italian wedding soup. Both were delicious. You do order at the counter but they deliver your food to the table. You can select from the menu or bulid your own sandwich, and the available soups are marked on the board with magnets. I highly recommend you stop in, sit in at one of the many different styled tables and chairs and take a bite.
