J Michael’s Spa and Salon

Let it be said that this is the first time I have ever posted a Unilocal review and I feel my experience with J Michael warrants coming out of stealth mode.
I came to J Michael for about a year while I lived in Louisville and saw Britney as my stylist. My first visit, I cut my hair from long layers to a shorter «lob» type cut. She asked many questions and the cut was perfect.
Britney is extremely personable and friendly. The shampoo is great! The salon itself is updated and clean.
Unfortunately, I had to move to MD for work and have since been through FIVE hair stylists in a year and a half!
I called today to see if I could book an appointment with Britney during a work trip back and was explaining my sob story to the owner, Jill. To make my sob story even sobbier, it looked like Britney’s schedule did not match mine while I was in town so I booked with another stylist.
SHOCKINGLY, I received a voice mail from Jill a few hours later letting me know that Britney was going to stay late on Tuesday to accommodate me! What customer service!
I highly, highly recommend Britney and J Michael to anyone looking for a great salon experience. You will not be disappointed.

I’ve always been happy with the services I’ve received at J Michael’s. I see Lisa for cuts and color, and she’s incredibly talented. She also listens to her clients and gives them what they want and makes them look fantastic. She’s full of great advice on hair care and management. The salon is a bit pricey, but the results are worth it. You won’t be disappointed.

I booked myself and my bridesmaids their hair and make up appointments for my wedding :) I walked in, and they had a BEAUTIFUL spread set up for us – coffee, teas, bagels, muffins, cheese, crackers and grapes. Oh my gosh, I felt like a star for the day:) I also had Briteny as a hair and make up stylist. She made me look exactly the way I wanted to for my big day. Can’t wait to get my pictures back and share them, because J Michael’s truly made me feel my best and took good care of my girls too Thank you!
