Giving this place a 4 because of its service. The waitresses there were really nice. They came to check in on us and refilled our water. The food, I think, for the price is pretty decent, especially if compared to Emporium. My friend ordered a Pad see ew. I don’t know how that tasted, but I got a Pad kee mao and I was at least satisfied with it. We also ordered an Angel Wings appetizer, which was also pretty good!

Delivery sucks. period. We ordered a chicken pad thai and pineapple fried rice, and it came an hour and 30 minutes later. So we get the order, walk up, and open the bag and my thai iced tea was spilling inside the bag… But we were hungry, so we proceeded to take out the food from the bag, and my fried rice was spilling out. We asked for spoons, but there were no spoons. And the noodles were one clump, indicating that they were sitting outside for a long time before delivering the food. Will I order again? Please, of course, the food is so so good. But go there and eat it, or if you deliver, just make sure you check your food is safe.

3 stars generous, food is food. Had the sweet and sour chicken. It was more vegetables than chicken. No chicken hardly. :(

Delicious, friendly, clean, reasonably priced. Flavors are different no overlap. Parking is scarce but meter parking available

My favorite Westwood restaurant. Most of the time I order delivery, but the service at the restaurant is great too. The staff are attentive and nice, and I’m never disappointed with the food. My girlfriend always gets the pad see ew and she loves it every time. The yellow curry is delicious and the Thai coffee is one of my favorite things to get. There’s normally parking in the neighborhood behind the restaurant, so that’s never really a problem for us either.

Checked this place out while on the road around the Westwood Area. Primarily came for the free Thai iced tea with checkin, but definitely stayed for the good food. Finding Westwood Thai Café wasn’t difficult; it’s literally on Westwood Blvd. We came around 7 pm and found no line. The menu is pretty standard for a Thai restaurant, but I was definitely interested in the Mermaid Sea Curry. Ordered it without hesitation and my other friends got pad Thai and massaman curry. Food came out pretty quickly, and I was super excited about the Mermaid Curry. Basically, it’s a red curry dish with steamed fish(or fried if you want). The curry wasn’t too thick but flavorful with the coconut milk. The fish was very soft and vegetables were a plenty! My friends also enjoyed their dishes as well. Overall, great food, fast service, and good prices. What more do you want at a Thai place? Eat well and prosper,

Went inside and the place instantly had a Thai feel to the environment. Probably from the Chang beer signs and the decorations on the walls! The waitresses were pretty nice, instantly assisted us. My friends got pad Thai and the«mermaid red sea»(which was fish and red curry) and I got the massaman curry with rice. The curry was definitely creamier compared to other places I’ve had it and I really enjoyed it! Very sweet and flavorful. The vegetables tasted fresh and there was a reasonable amount of meat. The only complaint was I wish I had a somewhat bigger plate of rice. But besides that, it was satisfying!

My favorite thai restaurant around wilshire and westwood is «Westwood thai café». I alway ordered from this place(dining in and delivery). The servers are nice. The foods are delicious and amazing«especially sticky rice with mango and they curry» I love it!

Ordered here for pick up. Ordering was speedy and easy through the eat24 button. Parking: park on one of the little side streets or do metered parking in front. Came here during rush hour and it was crowded but I found a parking spot on the street relatively quickly and walked around the corner to the restaurant. Pros: super cheap… which is why I gave it an extra star. Large portion for under $ 11 with tax. Cons: it tasted bad. Even if it was cheap I felt like it was a waste of my $ 11. Noodles were rubbery. I ordered spicy and I would consider this a tiny level above mild. If you’re expecting spicy you definitely need to add hot sauce(they do provide you with this in the bag) The sauce was decent but the noodles were very one-dimensional and rubbery. I don’t know if it is due to age or incorrect cooking technique, but it had a similar texture to bad frozen pad Thai. Also they forgot a lime wedge so I couldn’t zest it up the usual way… definitely lost some taste there. Overall, I read in reviews that dining in tastes better than take out but I felt like I wasted $ 11. Would not come back.

The food was not bad. The service was friendly – at first. But the food was not great. I was going to give three stars, but at the end(after I already paid) the manager came over to me and asked me if I wanted to leave a tip!!! Then she pointed to the tip line(which I had crossed out) on the signed credit card receipt and then went on to point out that it says below«the tip is not included», to which replied«yes I know»… Wow. I then had to explain to her that I was going to leave a cash tip, but now I will be leaving no tip because of the rude behavior. That I just said to let her know that I’m accustomed to having basil chicken that has enough basil flavor to last the entire dish and more chicken. (It was mostly vegetables) Worth about $ 5 – 6 tops :(

Food is Okay and prices are a bit high. Customer service from Dena very rude. First off I could not understand her! I came in to pick my food and she got it wrong of course and told me I Repeated the order 3 times! I told her you don’t have to be rude! Instead of saying sorry she tried to make it into an argument! Rude and bad customer service. Dirty and dusty place.

Some Unilocalers confuse me with their expectations. Given the price, the taste of the food, and the portion, I think this place worth every penny you pay. Have tried roasted duck over rice, spicy noodles, mermaid in the sea(fish curry), tom yam noodle, and I would honestly say that all of them are very good! As someone pointed out below, it does take about an hour for them to deliver your orders if you wanna have your dinner at home. I guess they do wait for several delivery orders to come in and deliver them all at once. I think it is understandable since they do not charge the delivery fee. If you expect to have the food ASAP, definitely do the pick-ups.

If you want light, made-exactly-to-order Thai-ish generic Asian food on a cold night, this is the place. I can barely drive there for pickup by the time my order is ready; the price is right; and the people are really nice. It could be more flavorful and aromatic(there were no lemongrass bits in the soup), but is a go-to on the nights when your order includes the«less oil» instruction. Trying their curries next time!

We ordered: tom kar kai, mermaid in red sea(fried), red pineapple duck curry, beef panang curry. $ 50 for 4 dishes. All of the dishes looked similar except for the mermaid dish. The service was great –we spilled our thai tea and the waitress was on it right away. The panang curry was a little sweet compared to other panang curries I’ve had. There were also very few beef pieces. The mermaid dish was excellent and the fish was cooked well. The red curry was very good but few duck pieces.

Just make sure, if you are ordering from Westwood Thai for delivery… that you are not super hungry. It takes about 1 hr to have the food delivered to your home. On the upside, I guess that means they’re always really busy? Here’s what’s good: Curries both red + green; I usually get it with steamed tofu Thai fried rice with chicken Pineapple fried rice Duck over rice Papaya salad Spicy beef salad Thai iced tea usually is added for free as a promo(automatically through EAT24 or mention it when calling in) or you can substitute it for 2 soda cans

I ordered the pad see ew lunch specials with dumplings! It came with a yummy soup and salad and I LOVED every bite. The waiter was kind and explained the structure of the lunch special with patience. My friend and I wanted to take some food home but we just kept eating our plates clean it was so good. My new fav Thai restaurant in Westwood!

Is it Thai food? I guess technically. Do they also serve Orange Chicken, Mongolian Beef, and Kung Pao Chicken on the same menu? They do. It’s certainly cheaper than some other options in the area… but it doesn’t hold a candle to that real, fresh, delicious, herby goodness that is authentic Thai. Where’s the papaya salad? The mee krob? The morning glory? The pad thai is too sweet, the red curry had a nice spice, and the fresh spring rolls were sort of rubbery.

Delivered quick the Only reason for 2 stars but would I really care if it taste this bad? The chicken fried rice is like nothing no flavor cardboard The red curry clearly has frozen vegetables in it really how can anyone shame themselves as a Thai restaurant under this pretense ? Just awful

Delicious and a great and cheaper alternative to Emporium down the block. Came in at 11 and it was completely empty. I ordered the panang curry and my friend ordered the yellow curry. Both were $ 10. Each dish also came with a rather generous scoop of rice. The flavors were all there and they did not skimp on the vegetables or chicken. My friend made it clear that she didn’t want hers spicy and we both thought the spice level in our respective curries came out perfect! The service could have been better especially since we were the only two in the restaurant for about half an hour before another party came in. Service could have been more attentive. We were on a time crunch and it wasn’t easy trying to flag down the waiter. Otherwise, cheap and probably will be coming here again!
