Urban Redwood

Our laundry room is locked at midnight. The building doubles as a hotel, different people in and out constantly. Rooms on Airbnb for about 130 a night. There was a shooting a month ago amongst these temporary tenants.
Management is fine here as long as we don’t have any expectations or standards then they’re completely put upon and annoyed. The manager of out building called a tenant a «snitch» because she had the balls to challenge them on the fact they are renting rooms we share walls with after being sold on a secure community and completing a criminal background check. Now that’s just lip service if ever there was.

«It’s not about the problems you have it’s about the solutions, and willingness to accept that problems needed to be fixed.» Said that my entire military career.(I’m fairly certain I made it up too.) This place seems to agree. In that regard. It’s perfect!
I’ve never been satisfied with a place in LA this team is changing that! The maintenance team worked diligently to address the defects at move in. The leasing office took responsibility for these things needing work orders. That was a first for me and pretty awesome. I’m gonna enjoy my time here.
The security patrol is on top of their game. Day 1, I didn’t have my permit in my car and boom. Parking Notice. Lost my permit left note with number. Day 2, phone call. Day 5, I just got a knock from security asking if everything was okay because I didn’t close my door completely. The neighborhood isn’t terrible but knowing that someone is looking out for your wellbeing adds a lot.
Two star loss for the built into but added to my rent, forced Internet/​tv from some third party ISP that has a rectal cranial inversion. Internet service is pricey for the data speeds (think 2004 broadband) and cannot be upgraded. They provide directv service also however it’s more expensive than going through directv.(which you can’t do) Sadly, it makes me miss TWC. I’ll attempt to find some other solution.
I am curious as to why/​how they have Internet provided from one company contracted to all the apts but no community wifi.
