Good value, simple healthy food. I used to work across the street. I’d always order the Yellowtail Tuna plate with brown rice when I came here. Fresh veggies, salad, and a generous portion of fish. I’m half Japanese and love all kinds of Japanese food. However this plate was so tasty and surprisingly low priced I never once ordered anything else. My coworkers liked their other offerings though. A great nonfussy option if you’re in the area.

I used to love to come here and eat however they now have some security guy in the parking lot who harassed me for parking my car in a compact space. My car fit fine but he got in my face and said I had to vacate the spot. Needless to say I told him I was parking to eat at Tosa and he had the nerve to tell me to F — k off and leave… crazy! I’ll never go there again until they get rid of that clown.

You know what, I really love this place! Some Tuna leave a rancid taste my mouth, but I love their tuna. I definitely recommend! Plus, I think it’s family owned. Happy to support yummmm

I love this place, but mostly its local and there is no service charge for delivery. The eel bowl is my favorite and my go too when i need a quick lunch.

I’ve been going to this place for about 20 years. Even though the menu size has grown a lot over the years, the quality has always been consistent. Good prices, fresh food, good service. I love the bowls and sushi here!

Ordered a late lunch this afternoon which was spicy tuna, miso soup, shrimp tempura, and salmon sashimi it was all very delicious and fresh! For everything I ordered plus delivery it was a great deal! Ordered came very quickly. I was very happy and will definitely be ordering again soon!

I went in on August 28,2015 around 1:50 pm for my lunch break and thought I would try a new place out so I stopped by Tosa the sushi was good and the price was reasonable. The only issue I had with the place was the lady working the front counter she had an attitude and obviously looked like she wasn’t happy. Her service sucked I really dislike it when places act as if they are doing you the favor when in reality your doing them the favor customer service should always be a priority especially in a small business. If it wasn’t for her I most likely would have gave this restaurant 5 stars.

I realized today while I was eating my salmon bento box that I’ve been coming here for years. This is one of my favorite lunch spots during the work week. The food is affordable and tasty, the dining room is quiet and clean. If you see me in the corner reading a book… leave me alone, I’m enjoying my lunch break.

The location is convenient and located on Franklin and Hillhurst ave. It was closed on Sunday. Not available for lunch or dinner. Boo. Wanted to try their chicken teriyaki bento combo or salmon bento combo with ca rolls. No hours listed. Is this location closed currently by owner? It’s location near the Subway in a plaza with small parking lot. No message listed on phone either. Can others comment please. Thanks.

Stopped in to get a combo plate To Go. Very nice staff person behind the counter, showed me the menu. I got a combo with Sushi, Teriyaki chicken, and tempura. It was all very good and done very quickly.
Good parking lot right in front of the restaurant, so you can run in quickly and get your order.

Good, basic cheap Japanese food. No frills, but the tempura udon is decent, the curry udon is good, the tempura and gyoza are good, decent teriyaki bowls (a bit on the sweet side but very yummy). Fresh veggies, and quite reasonable prices. I cannot speak to the sushi.

Any salmon or tuna sushi is great here. Definitely get the beef bowl here too. The workers are nice and the place is cozy.
The only minor gripe is that they don’t do delivery. Fast take out and great parking make up for it though.

Lemme paint you a picture: you walk in. Where are you? You’re in Tosa Express. BAM! It hits you like a smack across the face. Look at those friggin’ prices. Those prices, man, those prices.
Like, okay, so for instance, okay? I say: «hit me with the Chinese Chicken Salad.»
«Right on,» says the woman behind the counter. «You’re a cool guy.»
5 FRIGGIN’ BUCKS! Just take it out of your wallet, ya know, or if you don’t have cash, use a card, hand it to the woman, grab a seat, and you’re food’ll come. Trust me on this.
I seriously don’t understand how this place is still in business. It’s so cheap it feels like stealing. And the dining room is cleaner than you’d expect, man, there ain’t a scrap of nuthin’ nowhere. They bring you your food on these orange trays — does it look like fuggin’ Bobby Flay? No, it’s five dollars. It’s FIVE DOLLARS.
Seven dollars for a salmon bento box, OK? This ain’t no drill. Is the salmon wild and line caught? Whaddya, kidding me? It’s seven bucks. Eat it. And it ain’t bad, man. The salad’s pretty fresh, the rice is good, the salmon’s got some taste to it. Walk out of there like a king/​queen, you just dropped next to nothing for some pretty damn decent yums.

Yum! With all the trendy new places in the neighborhood, I forgot how awesome this little hole in the wall really is! They have the best Chinese chicken salad, it’s fresh and light and their prices are ridiculously cheap compared to the rest of the places around that area. Don’t expect fancy food! It’s simple and tasteful… and the price is a gem! There is parking available.

Forget all the overpriced food that line the streets. This place has that meal when you just want to have lunch or dinner without breaking the bank. The teriyaki beef is my personal favorite and its cheaper than Waba Grill. The salmon is my wifes favorite. The sushi is perfect to satisfy any quick fix.

This is one of my favorite joint.
I am Japanese and these people are make good Japanese food.

Good for a quick fix for sushi. Better than gas station sushi.
