Overall great olé school burgers that are delicious without the Grease! Like quick n split was the Best back in the day! The meat was good. Buns were wet and soggy The fries have a good flavor but the batch I received was the end of the batch/bits n pieces therefore was not enjoyable or edible. It’s Sunday and it was a Hispanic chic behind the window, my sister said it’s never been like this all the times she’s been and the food is always the bomb so I will try it again because of the reviews of folks I know. But I wasn’t happy with today’s outcome. I gave a 3 because the flavors were on point, meat was well cooked.

If you love soggy fries wrapped in foil and wet burger buns come here. My first time here is not a win. I came back to get order remade and they just gave me new bread… umm what? Same patty & toppings with my bite marks. No thanks. I’ll keep my biz with Happy Time on Vermont… flavor was ok once repaired but Bye Bears!

It’s LA so you know there’s the bullet proof window that you order from X-P, the service was meh though, the lady kept changing the price, this makes me feel like — hmmm… Ok… Whatever… Well I inhaled my burger, it was very satisfying. The cobbler was also good. I’d go back, maybe even to try their BBQ everyone keeps saying to stay away from, we’ll see!

Better than Smashburger, better than Chilis better than the habit better than in and out. Last time I had a burger this good it was at my grandma’s house except she made it half as small and didn’t throw pastrami on it. This is my new favorite burger place the people behind the counter were excellent very sweet and nice to talk to. The meat patty had a wonderful chard taste on the outside with seasoning throughout the thick patties.

Drove here from the Westside in the rain to find the black iron gate locked with the handle able to be turned. Thought I was trippin for a sec. But that’s not the worst part.. There was a TV on and a person chillin inside who took his sweet time to tell me they were«closed.. For a lil while“as I stood in the rain trying to get in smh. Maybe I’ll decide to give this place a try another day. or nah.

Burgers are massive. Ordered 3 burgers with bacon and although the burger was seasoned will the bacon which is normally a great asset to a burger was horrible. It seemed like it was all just fat. my 13 years old’s even complained. Although the staff was attempting to be attentive it was very annoying to have to repeat your order 5 times. Even the kids were annoyed, not to mention it took 30 minutes to get our food and thy forgot the peach cobbler!

Don’t let the location nor the outside façade keep you from going here, it is well worth the drive and the search for parking. The cons are few and I easily looked passed them once I took a bite of the best hamburger west of any Braum’s. There is no parking, you must find this on your own, but we found parking instantly and was only 500 ft away. The other con is there are only 3 tables of two… I suggest to get it to go and find a location to enjoy these burgers. The staff was very friendly and informative. The tables and dining area is clean and comfortable. The burgers and ribs we ordered did not take long at all, considering the meat that had to be cooked. The burgers stayed nice and hot through the whole meal. When you have a hankering for burgers, this is the place to go. These burgers feed the need! I will be back again to try out all the other creations!

Grizzley Burger is the way to go here. I would NOT go here for BBQ, sorry. Three Bear’s is a small shack. Street paking for the most part. It’s in a questionable part of town and the interior reflects it. Bullet proof glass and bank style rotating window to get your food. A couple of tables, but mostly it’s a To-Go place. Now, I originally came here thinking this is a BBQ Joint. It is and it isn’t. They are more famous for their Grizzley burgers. But I had my mind set on BBQ. The only BBQ they had was Brisket. I went with the sandwich brisket choice instead of the dinner. The brisket was sliced in thick pieces. It was super over cooked and chewy. No Good. The bbq sauce it came with was sweet. I suggest you get it on the side if you’re going this route. It come with one side and I got the bbq baked beans. It was just okay. After talking to the man taking my order, I asked him what was good. He said the Grizzley burger. I got a Baby Grizzley, since it was what he was raving about. Good thing too. I chuck the brisket in the trash after a few bites and ate the burger. They cook it from scratch. The patty is hand formed. The good aroma of the burger was making me hungry as I waited for my food. It was very very good. The only thing I would change would be the mustard(Not a mustard on burger fan) and substitute it with mayo. The bacon made this burger better as well. The service: Super friendly They had me try a couple of things as I waited for my to go order. Macaroni Salad was very good. Pear Cobbler was excellent. Yum! I honestly want to give them more stars. They were super friendly and patient with a new customer. But I have to say, the brisket was the worst brisket I’ve ever had. Stick with the burger. Solid 2 ½ stars, rounding up for the great service Try them out for yourself and decide. 2015 Review #9

Great burgers and the sugar free peach cobbler is to die for. My only complaint is the fries are very greasy.

I jumped on the chance to try this lil hole in the wall since I hardly travel to this side of town. I’ve been wanting to try this place forever! So, i got the mama grizzly burger with some fries and a peach cobbler to go. The burger was huge with some yummy pieces of pastrami. So delicious! The couple behind the counter were really sweet and helpful and it made the whole experience that much more pleasant. Now, about that peach cobbler, O M G! It was out of this world! I’ve never tried a peach cobbler like this before and I don’t think I ever will! I would most definitely go again just for the peach cobbler but also to try some of their other stuff on the menu…

Hello Unilocal, I was just on a feature called Yanks. Which had the shooting company at a location called the boom boom room. This particular production didn’t have catering and as a result the camera dept went out to lunch everyday we were shooting. We ended up going to Three Bear’s Bar-B-Q twice, as the food is really good olé fashion down home cooking like I remember from when I was a kid. The first thing you will be struck with is how wonderful the folks are that work and or own this little gem. They are so warm an wonderful and it feels as if you might be in their living room instead of a restaurant. Now onto the food, this little place has the biggest burgers I have ever witnessed in all my years. The first time through Xavo and Richard went for a Mama Grizzly Burger and I decided on the Baby Grizzly Burger, Chili Cheese Fries and a bottle of water. So it seemed I made the smart choice and could barley finish my meal, as it was that much food. Xavo and Richard couldn’t finish the fries and Xavo also had order a peach cobbler which increased his no finishing the meal. Those two were in a meat coma for hours after lunch and Xavo told me he didn’t eat again till the next day. In my whole life I have never had seen anything like this, as there is a Papa Grizzly that is even bigger than the Mama Grizzly. The really fantastic thing about this joint is that everything is hand made from scratch including the dessert and the hand cut fries. The Chili Cheese fries are insane as it more like a bowl of chili with a slice of cheese and some fries added in, almost a meal in itself and I got a small! The second time through I just ordered a regular baby burger single without onions, however with what they refer to as burger staples on it, a small fry and a bottle of water. Xavo did the same but added a peach cobbler. Sebastian got a Baby Grizzly Burger and a fries and he was as stuffed as I was the first time around. So all on all I have to say if you are within say 11 miles of this place, at any given time you must go in and have this experience for yourself. I will be going back and bringing The West Coast Kitty here very soon! As a note the food is four stars however the people in that place brought up to a sparkling five stars!

I’m so glad I got to eat here before I made the conscious decision to become a vegetarian because if ever someone was to eat a burger this is hands down the best place to get a burger that I ever did find! It’s crazy the location of this place because that is a million dollar burger recipe they have in their hands. Location/Restaurant Diamond in the rough. I drove from Santa Clarita just so I could try the burger because that’s how highly raved this place is. If you don’t believe me come for yourself. The actual restaurant is incredibly right and small. I recommend getting it to go, getting into your car and enjoy pure meaty ecstasy Food: Lots of choices to choose from I opted for a simple small burger which I assure you is anything but small. The party is seasoned well and I love that they didn’t burn the meat. Ah if I still ate meat I would certainly come back for more! You won’t be disappointed and I seriously think the owner should consider starting a chain! Do I recommend this place? Absolutely! Maybe I can convince them to serve black bean burgers? Oh that would be amazing’

One of the Best Turkey Burgers Ever! Since the closing of Cassell’s in L.A., I have searched high and low for a great turkey burger. I was fortunate to find my way to Hawkin’s House of Burgers in Watts but getting in and out of there can sometimes be a hassle since it is so popular but is often crowded. Luckily, I found another fantastic option after having been referred by a new friend who recommended this jewel of a place hidden away in a corner of South L.A. I placed a pick-up order on Sunday and man, it did not disappoint! Their turkey burger was absolutely delicious! The meat was cooked perfectly and did not have that gamey taste which proves that it was fresh. They put just the right of condiments inside and it all blended together perfectly. This place will definitely be at the top of my list!

This place is a gem in the hood. I came for the first time and I wasn’t disappointed. My first impression was there’s nowhere to park! They have all their bbq equipment in the small lot so you may have to park on the street. But I’m not deterred by stuff like that. The customer service was great. The people were very friendly and helpful. I always appreciate good service wherever I find it. But that is secondary to the food… I had a Mama Grizzly Burger, fries, and a peach cobbler. The burger was HUGE! I mean this was by far the largest and messiest burger I’ve ever had… ever! It was very juicy and tasty. It’s definitely a fork burger, lol. The fries were tasty but a little too limp… but tasty, lol The peach cobbler was excellent! Honestly it was the best part of the meal, not to take away from the other food. It was just that good to me. 3 Bears is a hood gem in my opinion and you should definitely check it out.
