The Reserve is located in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles near Broadway. My favorite part? Upon entering the building(Cool fact, The Reserve is underground), you are immediately embraced by an unique, old-school, elegance with a feeling of being allured. The establishment’s décor was exquisite; the ambience alone was enough to draw us in. I highly recommend ordering their handcrafted cocktails; they were all so good! All of us ended up sharing our drinks with one another as they were all so delicious. They do have guestlist as well! The staff was very helpful and accommodating with our group. Overall, I was very pleased with my experience here and definitely recommend everyone who’s looking for a fun night out to check out this place!

My friends and I went to the Reserve last night to celebrate my birthday. We were just in awe with the place. Every part of the place was so beautiful, to the lobby to the back rooms. Drinks were on point. We had so much fun we definitely will be back. We want to thank the manager Chris. He got us in quick and was so accommodating. We asked security if they can call him over to our both so we Can thank him and he came right away. He was so nice and awesome! My friends and I loved this place. Thank you for an awesome time!

I really dig the neat theme they’ve got going on with the whole underground bank vault turned lounge. The décor is amazing and because there are different rooms, I felt like there was ample space. None of that packed like sardines business. No cell service but the wifi works! They were handing out cotton candy to the ladies once we got in. I was in the guestlist line around 10:40 just yesterday on a Sat and we only had to wait 15 or so minutes. My guy friend did not have to pay either! No cover charge holla. Also the security dudes were very chill and that’s always a plus. It was super easy to get a stamp and step outside for my buddies to have a stog. As for the drinkity drinks, $ 12 for a Manhattan and it was strong. Not bad as far as price goes! I found it interesting that there were plenty of men in blazers and casual suits. The Reserve seems like a more dressy joint but I didn’t find it to be pretentious. Add in the dj and a dance floor and we’ve got ourselves a fun place to be :)

This place is dope. Bank vault theme. Spacious floor design and plenty of seating. When I went they played hip-hop most of the night. My only qualm is the bartender in the furthest dance floor is a bitch.

Nothing too crazy about this place. It’s nice cause they place hip hop music without all that EDM. The feel inside is pretty chill and the dance floor can get pretty popping on a Saturday night. Too crowded for my liking but hey, that must mean this place isn’t so bad to go to right? I parked a little past this place for $ 9 parking. Not bad! Would I come back? Maybe. But not anytime soon.

My BFF told me about this place. She told me its held in an old bank vault and it totally caught my eye. The idea of it was such a great concept! We were walking by and the gal that worked there asked if we wanted to come in and in we went! As you walk downstairs, the bouncer told me there is no reception! The entrance before walking into the dance floor was so cute. Clear glass floor with blocks of gold stacked. Huge gorgeous chandeliers in the first room, bar and another dance floor in the next. As for the crowd, it was just a hodge podge of different people. Newly 21 yr olds to a few people my parents age. Anything in between was far and few between. I was hoping for a lot more for this place. Best part?! I’m glad I got to see the inside/décor of it

My current favorite location to dance the night away. Parking: I’ve been paying $ 15 at the surrounding parking lots Guestlist: You can sign up on their website to get in for free before 11. It’s usually $ 10 for guys. The venue is spacious, broken into three separate rooms. first two are more lounge-vibe. You can get a drink and chill. The last room has the dance floor where they play hip hop. I loved the music! Awesome place for a group of friends to go and enjoy themselves.

If I can give zero, I will! F*** Reserve!!! You ain’t S*** The really tall guy outside is an A**Hole!!! I’ve been all over the world to party! And let me tell you, your service sucks!!! Maldives, Paris, Dubai, Thailand, and South Africa did not treat me the way this really tall guy in the front treated me. He didn’t even acknowledge my question and all I wanted to know how much the cover fee was.

If you’re over 40, or maybe even 50, this is your joint. I saw maybe 5 people under 30, the rest were old as hell. The DJ’s here play music that your dad would like, no, I’m not kidding. Some of the worst music downtown. And the bartenders? My girl had to explain to him how to make a proper Moscow Mule, WTF? Please, close this place down and open up something with a younger crowd. No one likes to party with their parents.

Came here on a good night so we had a really great time. PARKING: Took Lyft so I can’t comment but from the area I know there are parking lots $ 10 – 15 or more. It’s right next to Exchange, the Last Bookstore and Guisados. GUESTLIST: We knew a promoter, Kenny Toledo so he was able to get us in for free before 11:00 pm. We arrived around 10:30 pm and were pretty much the first ones in the club. The place probably didn’t start getting crowded until around 11:30 pm. ATMOSPHERE: Where you check in is the step and repeat, great for pics. you walk down some stairs and are greeted with a large room with green glowing floors. Beneath the floor you can see gold bars. They really take the bank vault theme to the next level. A huge bank vault door leads into the second room with tables, another bar, and then the EDMDJ area. Past that is the«coupon» room which is the Hip Hop room. There’s another bar, a dance floor, and more tables. There are spacious bathrooms that were clean and plenty of seating areas for when you get tired. And they don’t yell at you for sitting down! I wasn’t expecting much but found the club to be classy and very clean/spacious. It actually reminded me a little bit of a club I’d see in Vegas! The EDM room does have more of a lounge feel since it’s skinny and long with tables surrounding it whereas the hip hop room has tables that are a little elevated and separated from the dance floor. MUSIC: In the hip hop room they played really good music. Popular hip hop, some old school hip hop, hip hop from when I was in HS(2005+) and even some songs that aren’t really played on the radio. The crowd was fun dancing and singing along. It was crowded enough that it didn’t feel dead but not too crowded to the point where I couldn’t move. Around 1:30am most people started leaving. DRINKS: There is a 2 drink minimum on the card, which kind of sucked. About $ 10 – 11 for a drink and they were fairly strong. They also have food(chicken wings) for those that are hungry. Since there are 3 bars we really had no trouble getting drinks or waiting for a long time. CLIENTELE: I’d say most of the people were either black, asian or latino. So much so that they played at least 3 – 4 latino songs. There was a good mix of guys and girls, obviously more guys but that’s a given. The guys weren’t overly creepy and pretty much left me and my sister alone to dance. They ranged from mid to late 20s to probably mid 30s. ¾ of the people were dressed up(nice dresses or skirts + tops) and then some were dressed down(jeans etc.).

What did I walk into? I spent $ 10 to walk in this place for 15 minutes. They let anyone walk in here. Came here to meet a few friends. During my wait in line 3 different guys were thrown out of the club. They play old songs from about the 2000 – 2005 years. Dance area smelled horrible. I am not kidding someone threw a beer bottle at the ceiling and it almost hit people in my group. We got out of here ASAP. Ghetto clientele.

The Reserve is different from most of the bars in Los Angeles, and that’s the main reason why I justify coming back. It’s located underground in an old fashioned vault and has some fantastic décor — perfect for group picture taking or even those dressed selfies. Seating is limited so try to grab a booth early on if you’re not up to standing the entire night. Drinks are pricey(well vodka was $ 10.00) but pretty standard when it comes to downtown. They offer food as well for about $ 14 per entrée. Something important to point out is that you will likely not have cell phone service down there so you might actually have to talk to real human beings face to face!

Pretty sure that this place is going to blow up in a few short months, because it’s such a hip speakeasy-style lounge for downtown LA! I love revitalization of old spaces in LA, where entrepreneurs take old buildings such as a former power plant(The Edison near Little Tokyo), a fire station(Engine Co No 28 restaurant), a post office(Manhattan Beach Post restaurant), a barbershop(Blind Barber bar in Culver City), or a bank(The Reserve here) and turn them into classy hangout spots. After walking downstairs, you step inside a former bank vault that’s been retrofitted into a groovy looking bar and lounge. You walk through the circular vault door which has been decorated, and there’s a cool see-through floor in front with fake gold bars directly underneath — so cool! Inside, the walls still are made up of dual-keyhole safe deposit boxes. There are two beautiful vintage chandeliers hanging in the main lounge area with booth seating around the perimeter of the room. The room is on the small side, so I expect it can become packed on weekend nights. We got to experience The Reserve tonight as there was a St. Patrick’s Day event which had the whole place lit up in festive green mood lighting(see my pictures). We enjoyed specials on some strong drinks, and they normally have happy hour drink specials until 7pm, a great deal considering that this place inside is almost as cool as The Edison where the cocktails are very pricey.

Truly a great event and a great venue! thanks Katie B. for a great find! I was completely blown away by the décor and the history of this beautiful venue. It was previously known as The Mint, but after speaking with several people that had been to The Mint, they all said the change was truly for the better! I don’t know how it was then, but now it is SUPERB. Drinks are awesome… Did you see the $ 100K bottle of wine on the menu!!!

Came here for a Masquerade Ball hosted by the Latino/a Social Work Caucus. The entrance is very visible. Note: you have to walk down two sets of stairs to get to the bottom. The entrance to each room can be trippy, as there is a clear/see thru floor. There are two rooms, each with its own bar. The ambience varies by room. The first room is more relaxed and has couches/sitting items for you to lounge. It was also the less crowded bar. The second room is more spacious and has individual VIP tables. The dance floor is a bit small, mostly due to the bottle service tables but it was still spacious enough for a good crowd. The bar can get crowded and it can be hard to get a drink. Also, there is a $ 5 Photobooth which I think is worth it. Also since it is an underground location there is hardly to no service here.

I would of given this spot a 5, BUT because of the DJ I gave it a 3. So i checked this place out on friday at around 8 pm just to get an idea of what we were doing sat. Night. The head security guard Mark gave me a tour and was really helpful. Dude was down as fuck and was dope showing me around and he gave me his info for booking and guestlist. Awesome looking place. I mean the place is gorgeous. Amazing old bank art architecture. The interior is dope and it makes you feel like you are in an underground jewel. Drinks are well priced for a spot like this 10 to 15 is a normal in LA. And good amount of alcohol. Men, the ladies in this place are well looking and you can easily pick up if ya know what you are doing of course haha. Ladies, there are a lot of men here but also noticed a lot of couples. Most of the dudes youll find in the bottle service area you can EASILY jump on that. Ok so the DJ. I hope they have different Djs every night because this place has potential. He kept playing 90s hits and early 2000s from when i was in high school and shit i mean it’s dope we all love the classics of course, and they are fun BUT i literally felt like thats all they had and there was no real mixing. At least throw in more of the new shit. Half new Half old gets it popping. Also that finna DJ Side kick, announcer, whatever the hell he is. Bruhhh this aint no strip club, this aint not high school party man. Lol i felt like i was at a 18+ club with this dude on the mic trying to rowd the club up and speaking every other verse of a song. Bruh thats what the music is here for. Let the dj do his job. Lol a little less on the mic. Speakeasy.

I’ve been here twice and both times were a ton of fun! My girlfriends and I were treated like VIPs by Beno(I highly recommend you contact him to set up your table/bottle service) he not only went out of his way to make sure my friends could find me(all showed up at different times) but also made sure everyone always had a drink in their hand. Ill be coming back for our next celebration. Ps) the place is literally decorated like an old bank and has glass floors with gold plates inside– awesome décor!

First time at The Reserve did not disappoint. Anyone looking for a memorable night should definitely hit this place up. It’s the perfect place to be kicked out. For no reason. 1. They didn’t have enough bartenders. A mixture of assertiveness and politeness will get you a drink. Did I mention assertiveness? 2. Music sucked for the most part. You shouldn’t have to get excited when a good song comes on. But that’s nothing a few more drinks can’t fix. 3. Shout out to the head of security. The tallness and hairiness/beard didn’t scare us… It felt like we were trying to reason with a bear. A lot of confusion was brought to our night after my friend was accused of being too drunk at a bar. I get it, he works at a bar and must be used to drunk assholes who can’t control their liquor, but trust me — we were not those. If you are part of security at a bar, please use your intelligence(if you have any at all) to discern between out-of-control drunks vs. drunk people who are still cognizant. I would think you would be able to see the difference after working at a place like that. Our night had just BEGUN. We must have been there less than an hour. After the ridiculous amount of time waiting to GET a drink, we were hardly too drunk for anything and certainly were not drunk enough for this place’s bullshit. It was unjust and totally uncalled for. Having to watch your friend get cornered by 3 huge men the second we step on the dance floor is unsettling. The reason behind the singling out was even more perplexing. So people, if you’re looking for a place to have a memorable night, check out The Reserve and make sure you meet the head of security, who, by the way, gave us two names — Mark and Louis. So because he evaded telling us his real name or chose to confuse us, I will say: You’re clever, bear.

My 3rdOST(One Star Tue) of the year is «Reserve“d! I dropped by here for a b’ness gig on Thu, 12÷17÷15. The Reserve is a lounge located on popular Spring St, in between 6th&7th Streets in DTLA. It is housed in the former Federal Reserve building. First of all, the AfAm female bartender working at the second bar was the worst bartender evah!!! She was so slow, allowed others to form another line, and get two drinks before we ordered. It took my friend and I over 30 min to get a drink, and it wasn’t that crowded: 1 Star for her. Regarding the ambiance, you walk downstairs, and there is a lobby area w/a bar to the rear. The next room is long and narrow, and has the second bar w/the horrible bartender. The back room has the DJ, larger dance floor, and a two-sided bar. Speaking ot he DJ, he needs to get some current music. The only current song he played all night was Can’t Feel My Face(Weeknd): 2 Stars. Additionally, there are private areas for table service. The bartender we had in the back(the only Caucasian male bartender), was slightly better compared to the AfAm one. But he tried to ignore you when you stood in line which is $hitty customer service: 2 Stars. I didn’t care for the chopped look of the place. It made it hard to meet women: 2 Stars. I’ve already commented on the poor service from the bartenders, but the valet in the restroom was no better. He blocked one of the sinks so you had to use him. In addition, on one of my visits he was too busy saying hi to his friend to turn on the water: 1 Star for valet. This place is «Reserved» for my ATJAAC(Avoid This Joint At All Costs) list. I’ve been to erry club/bar/lounge in the area(Exchange/Falls/Spring St), and this place is like some lame a$$ fukboi tryin to holla at a freak, when his game is hella weak!!! The bartenders are terrible, there is no wifi reception(although supposedly there is wifi you can access), and the sides to the urinals are so narrow you have to pee from a foot away. There’s NFW I’m coming back!!!

This place has the potential to be great, but sadly SUCKS! I really wanted to like this place! The décor is really cute and trendy. The old bank and vault elements are nice touches. However, when people go to a dance club, they want to dance! You cant do that when the DJ is HORRIBLE! 1. He played the most random ass shit that is not dance music. I’m sorry, but I dont want to hear Nirvana in a dance club! 2. He would only play like 30 seconds of a song and then switch to something in a totally different genre with the worst transition you’ve ever heard. 3. He kept getting on the mic to shout stupid shit to «hype people up.» Ummm, no thank you. I dont need to hear you on the mic every 5 seconds shouting shit I cant even understand. We had emailed earlier in the week to get on the guestlist so thankfully we didnt have to pay for this god awful night. I will NEVER go back.
