Food was good but BRING cash. They charged my card twice and kept saying their credit card machine wasn’t working. The charges on my card were for $ 112.86 and $ 12.86. Then they made me go get cash to pay them. Was never able to get a refund.

Good hole in the wall with authentic food. I’m obsessed with bean and cheese burritos so it’s pretty much all I’ve had and I keep going back. Fresh tortilla, great beans & cheese and good home made salsas. We’ll keep coming back.

Still love getting the tacos here. Great hole in the wall joint when waiting for my Mom getting her hair done. My favorite staple: Four(4) tacos(carne asada and al pastor) and medium drink and chips with lime and radishes. Too bad they don’t sell taquitos or Barbacoa. Nonetheless, I still dig this place.

Tap water isn’t served here, the cashier told me. New slightly unfriendly attitude. Next time I’ll bring my own water. I have to order at least one potato taco every time I visit. The red salsa is very good. I’ve loved the food here for many years and through several name changes.

How did I miss this place when I’ve driven by so many times! A must try is the SUPERBURRITO. A massive burrito, nearly for two for $ 8.00. This burrito is full of deliciousness and packed tightly around 2 tortillas.

I’m from Tijuana and have very high standards when it comes to tacos therefore I don’t go looking for taco places because I know I’ll end up disappointed. However, my taco craving beat me last week and I stopped by this place and it’s actually really good. I’ve only had their Asada and Al Pastor tacos and jamaica. They have an extensive menu, I’ll have to try something else next time.

Easily the best place to get some legit Mexican food in the Echo Park area. This place is totally on point every time and fast to boot.

Yeah… this place was good. I ate half of the super burrito-loaded with plenty of carne asada. Given the absolute sheer size of the burrito and how much food is held together, I’m surprised how well the tortilla held up. Try the green salsa with it, you’ll thank me for it. The taco deals are great. I love al pastor so I ordered 4 of those and 4 lengua tacos. The lengua here is seasoned perfectly(on the spicy side) and of course the garnish is on point. As someone who spent 3 years in Tucson, I can honestly say that this place was on point. GO!

visitin L.A. for the weekend and stayed at the hotel across the street. We were literally jonesing for REAL Mexican food. this place was like an oasis. The place is really small with only 6 tables but the food! oh my Dios Mio! it was so good. Delicious food, prepared and served with heart and smiles. If we ever come back to this side of town, this will be our«spot»

NOTORIETY: Hole-in-the-wall; bang for your buck FOOD: 4 tacos + 1 med drink special($ 4.68 after tax): Great deal for tasty tacos. Got the al pastor & carnitas, both good flavors, although one of them was a tad salty for 1 bite(not completely balanced). Came w/small amount of chips. AMBIENCE: Really small restaurant, maybe 5 – 6 tables. OVERALL: Definitely gonna be back.

The tacos were basic and so was the quesadilla but that’s not a bad thing. So many taco places try so hard but I don’t always understand why. Great tacos are basic, and this place did very good tacos. The prices are fair and the food was served quickly. If you’re walking by and hungry, it’s a good, easy, quick stop.

This place is such a hidden gem. Tiny little hole in the wall in an ugly little strip mall where I do my laundry. It’s no secret that I love Mexican food and I have been here three times already and that number will continue to climb. The restaurant is tiny and nothing fancy. There is a small parking lot and some seating inside. Although there is not a ton of seating it seems like a lot of people get food to go and there’s always space. A lot of the menu is in Spanish, but if you’ve spent any time in California it’s not too hard to decipher. They also sell fresh, homemade tortillas which I will be trying once my current package runs out. The service here is friendly, not too much English being spoken but again… Not too hard. They understand enough to get you and anyways you probably already know how to say arroz and frijoles. The prices are right and they have a pretty fantastic deal for four tacos and a medium drink for under $ 5. Also everything comes with chips, I love chips, and these are some pretty bomb chips. The chips here are warm, thin, crispy… Probably one of my top 5 restaurant chip choices, they could use more salt but then I am also a self admitted salt whore. The tacos are fantastic, I’ve had them twice now. The carne asada and carnitas here are bomb, I’ve also had the pastor but it didn’t wow me. The chicken is decent but I’m probably sticking with asada as my top choice. Tacos come with all the fixings, including radishes, lemons, and hot sauces. Their hot sauce is spicy and while maybe not as flavorful as some I wouldn’t kick it to the curb. NOW… For the main event. On my last visit I saw something interesting, a «Super Burrito» on the menu. Being from San Francisco I am constantly searching for a «Mission» style burrito here in LA. On my trip to do my laundry today I decided to investigate further. I order the super burrito with chicken and everything(tomato, lettuce, guacamole, sour cream, salsa, rice, beans). It does not disappoint, the epic was is wrapped in TWO huge tortillas and clothed in foil just like it would be in SF. The thing was seriously bigger then my forearm(I’ll post a picture). Fantastic! Excuse me, I’ll be in a happy food coma for a bit.

They changed the name to Los Amigos, but the menu is exactly like El Atacor’s. The deals here are great. $ 4 for four tacos and a drink. The tacos are very good and the burritos serviceable(tasty w/o being a stomach bomb). I like the pastor and the buche here. They have Atacor’s famous potato tacos and the shrimp tacos are surprisingly good too. The place is the definition of a hole in the wall, and for an english speaker, it can be a bit difficult, but that’s really what you want with a place like this.

Ate here before the Dodger game the other day and I still can’t stop thinking about their salsa! This is a place that ordering in spanish helps, but they speak english so don’t let it detour you. We were planning on eating at the taco place across the way but I am glad they didn’t have parking. Had some of the papas & fish tacos. Super good! This is defiantly our new go to spot before the game or anytime we are in the area.

In a nutshell: Hidden gem in Echo Park. Not gonna lie… I wasn’t planning on eating here. I was getting a new tire a block away and this was the closest spot. It’s a very unassuming spot. You walk in and there is enough seating for 16 people max, and one small opening where the cook takes your order. Parking 3⁄5 A few spots available in the lot they share with a laundromat and a mini mart. Ambience 3⁄5 Small and simple. There are tables, and you can eat here. There is a small TV in the corner, but I couldn’t see it from where I was sitting. No soda fountain, just a cooler with cans. Service 4⁄5 It sucks working a spot by yourself. The guy here got my order done quick. Not sure if he spoke English, but luckily I knew enough Spanish to get through our conversation. Food 4⁄5 Shrimp Burrito — A Good burrito. Plenty of shrimp, but not breaded. Came with rice, cabbage, sour cream, and avocado(not guacamole) inside. Enjoyed every bite. You get a bottle of hot sauce, so no limitations=plus. Overall 4⁄5 Good stuff. I’ll have to come back and try other things here to get a better idea of how this place is. If you’re looking for a quick bite, then this is your spot.

Curious service, fresh made to order tacos. Great amount of food is inexpensive. Delicious! Love it! There should be a line out the door for this place instead of Guisados!

We were visiting LA and pulled into this place randomly around 11:00 am on a weekday. Seemed like a good hole-in-the-wall place to get cheap tacos. Just one dude running the show himself. Got the 6 taco special for $ 4.50. Even if they’re small and crappy, it’s a good deal. But they weren’t small and crappy, they were delish! We got standard meat tacos to go: pastor, asada, chicken. While we were waiting, we read good things about the potato tacos, so we ordered that when he gave us our to go food. Nice guy, limited English, no problem with our slightly annoying request. The potato tacos were crunchy and delicious and came with guacamole sauce, crema, and the usual onion cilantro on top. Additionally, there was some salsa on the side. SOGOOD. You must get this if you come here. I think they raised the prices to a little over a dollar now, maybe $ 1.50? The tacos to go were also still good when we got home. They were wrapped in packs of two. You can grab some pickled items and limes to put in to go baggies. There’s a standard Cholula and other hot sauce for you to use while you dine in. 6 taco deal comes with tiny bag of chips and some yummy, too-salty-just-use-a-little-bit salsa, and another kind of salsa. Like someone else mentioned, only 5 tables so I guess it can get busy and probably isn’t too good at accommodating large groups. Take out is easy. Quick service. Open for breakfast. Plenty of specials for all times of the day. A/C and fan are strong in there so bring a jacket. I don’t know if they accept card, but be nice and bring cash. Univision on TV in the corner.

I was actually Cruzin’ Echo Park looking for the Famous Qaxacan Quesadilla Cart Lady that’s supposed to be not too far West of here, couldn’t find her so the hunt is still on… Well I remembered driving by this place but never had the time to stop and see what they have to offer, what ever you want on the menu these guys have a Special, so what did I get? what else but the 6-Taco Special $ 4.50, though the tacos are on the small side still a good deal! Tacos — Lengua — Ahhhh a little slip of the tongue, was it as good for you as it was for me? so lean, soft and tender and you have such nice flavor, I’ll always remember this kiss! 4.5-Stars Buche — After that nice kiss this was such a let down, I asked for the buche to be cooked«Bien Dorado. Frito» I like it nice and crispy, crunchy, while this has a slight firmness to the outside it was still soft and rubbery, not appealing to me.(nalgas) 2-Stars Carnitas — How I love thy PIG but this one a just a little dry, nothing bad and it did have nice flavor. 3.5-Stars Barbacoa — (Res/Beef) Nice large chunks of lean and flavorful meat. 3.5-Stars Al Pastor — While I didn’t see any trompo here, the pig had plenty of flavor and I liked the caramelized little pieces of onion. 4-Stars Carne Asada — Meat was lean but it was missing in the flavor dept. a shame it’s just OK. 3-Stars They have some nice flavorful salsa… AVG: 3.42-Stars
