I enjoyed Tacos Sinaloa. The vampiros were my favorite. Got pastor and asada. Both meats were descent. Nothing fantastic but both good. The quesadilla was great too. Salsa was pretty mild but not bad. A solid all around truck.

Tacos Sin for sure!!! I love tacos I mean I am made up of tacos… lol their food is so good you will most definitely go into food coma don’t want to eat tacos for another 2 week type thing. Went with my boyfriend 1:30am in the morning(sober) and boyyyyy was it on point for late night! Their tripa taco(crisp to the point like pork grinds) delish! Loved their pollo and pastor taco as well. Didn’t care for the asada taco. Asada fries omg yes please!!! The cheese and guacamole is what makes the dish yummy and savory. Wish the fries were a little bit more crisper(like in and out well done fries.) only complaint about this dish. My mouth is drooling thinking about it. Good horchata not the best but no watered down. I wanted to give it a 5 star but the bathrooms are gross… My boyfriend said guys bathroom had vomit in it. Girls restroom feels like your in prison… Good find love this place :) hidden gem

$ 1 tacos are on point! With plenty of cilantro, lime, and radish. Had the carne asada and chorizo, both were awesome. $ 2 vampiros(fried soft taco) were delish too, though greasier. Definitely stopping by again whenever I’m in the area.

the cabeza is the protein to get from here. they cut from the chunk only after you order. this makes a huge difference in maintaining the juiciness and flavor. everything else is standard.

Disappointed, being from Mazatlan, Sinaloa myself have been looking for Vampiros for a while and still have not found then, even though the meat was good, but it was a regular tortilla«toasted» with cheese and meat I could of done that at home. I was looking for the real thing with the tortilla made from maza the search continues.

My go-to neighborhood taco truck. Typically they are ready for dinner by 6 and stay open late into the night on Wednesday through Sunday evenings.

$ 1 tacos. It’s LA street tacos. They use their bare hands to handle your food. Asada tacos were great. Pastor was whatever and I personally didn’t like cabeza. It was my first time trying cabeza so I’m not sure what it was supposed to taste like. It lacked flavor and was fatty.

1 dolla tacos! Veggie taco has beans, white rice, shredded lettuce, shredded cheese, and peppers. The ingredients are generously layered on soft tortillas. Try the guac sauce and the hot sauces, and also a bottled coke(the original recipe). If only they could serve beer. :)

Ordered carne asada and al pastor tacos. Al pastor had good flavored but it had some«burnt» pieces. Maybe it was late in the afternoon? Idk. Asada was ok nothing special. Im down to try again and see if I get fresh meat. Oh yeah salsas were bland for my palate

EUREKA!!! After months and months of missing this ever elusive Taco Sinaloa truck, I finally found it last Saturday since I happened to be in Highland Park fairly early. Turns out the truck closes at midnight — so that’s why I could never find it! And at only $ 1 a taco, you can’t really go wrong here! When I finally sank my teeth into the well-seasoned, juicy pastor I could actually hear Etta James singing«At Last». Indeed, I feel like my lonely days are over for al pastor tacos are mine. íFinalmente!

The tacos are pretty good. Quesadillas are decent. Chili’s are good. The only thing is that they are a bit pricey for a taco truck.

Right when you think you can’t find better tacos in Los Angeles, you come across someone who promises they have found the best tacos in town. Now, I’m a fan of Tito’s Tacos and King’s Taco, but Tacos Sinaloa located on the corner of Avenue 55& Figueroa Street in Highland Park had the BEST ever! I highly recommend the VAMPIROS tacos which are loaded on a crispy tortilla with carne asada, onions, garlic and cheese. Not only are the tacos delicious, but their sauces add all the spice necessary to heighten your senses. Its sort of shady coming from a taco truck in the hood, but I promise you these tacos are worth it!

This is one of those classic taco trucks. You know, long before twitter when you could go to the local corner and enjoy some really cheap tacos that were beyond any sort of taste you could find at a brick and mortar joint. Yeah, this is one of those. It’s great for the utility taco when you’re hungry and very friendly to your wallet. You don’t need twitter to find this truck. Just drive up Fig till you see it somewhere around there. They seem to move around a lot. Not sure if that’s a great thing, but it is what it is. As for the positives, I really like the way they prepare tongue here. And really, if you’re grossed out by the fact of eating tongue, get over it and enjoy it. It’s delicious. But anyhow, they shred it up like if it was some corned beef. This really lets it lay out on the taco. The Al Pastor here is pretty good. Though I have had better, but let’s face it, when you grow up on street food and taco carts, that’s not a surprise. Over all, it’s a good taco spot to hit if you’re not willing to take on some of the other taco stands. It’ll appeal to those who dare not walk on the wild side, but care to just hover around it as it is a fairly clean compared to other food vendors of the area.

******* Location change AGAIN! ***** Tacos Sinaloa the Houdini of the Highland Park taco trucks or trailer in this case, why Houdini you ask!?, well they are in one spot for a while then disappear for a while then pop up in another location, Highland park is very competitive in the taco business and most of the better ones being trucks/trailers or even those that come out at night and set up tables and grills on the sidewalk, gotta love it! So Tacos Sinaloa has recently re-appeared after their short stay on Fig & Ave 55 they are now on Ave 56& York blvd on the side of «El Super», stopped by to check them out since it’s been a real long while since I’ve eaten from them. The menu is very basic but being from Sinaloa? I asked if they had«Quesatacos»?? and I got a look back like I was speaking in Chinese to them!, Hmmm this truck is from Sinaloa and you don’t know what a Quesataco is!, OK so I’ll make it very simple let me have two tacos and a Vampiro. Vampiro de Carne Asada — wow what a piss poor attempt at a vampiro, and this thing has so much onions and cilantro you can’t even taste the LIMITED amount of carne asada and cheese Tacos de Lengua y Al Pastor — Lengua — nothing like a little tongue, I like the fact that they shredded it instead of chopping in cubes, and the flavor was good. Al Pastor — Ahhh was OK definitely not the best in town but no complaints either, Tortillas — dude you gotta do better than this, tortilla FAIL… Salsa — Tried the Red & Green both were just OK at best not the most flavorful. For those of you in the area that actually like this guy!?? better go pay them a visit because«I Guarantee» they’ll be pulling another Houdini act soon!, too many other places in the area with MUCH better tacos. 2.5 — Stars

Don’t call it a comeback! This place used to be on Ave 54 and Monte Vista and then it disappeared. The day Claire H and I walked up to that corner and didn’t see the truck that had been our source of late night and too-lazy-to-make-dinner-ourselves food was a sad day indeed, We walked in slow motion back to the house. We sung the Boyz II Men song, «It’s so hard to Say Goodbye» as we strolled slowly. That night as our empty stomachs growled, I could swear I heard Taps being played on a bugle somewhere. This spot isn’t your normal Taco Truck. They serve up chorreadas and vampiros. I have never had them any where else. Not only that but their Pastor and Carne Asada is mouth wateringly good. They also have caramelized onions on all their food. This week, Claire H, got home from work and gave me the good news. TACOSSINALOAISBACK! and it is on AVENUE55 and Figueroa!!! Woohoo! We ran down there and ordered a bunch of vampiros. They were just as good, if not better, than we remembered On the way home, we sung«MotownPhilly Back Again» as we patted our bellies. (I’m giving them an extra star for being open past 9pm on a weekday.)

EDIT: This truck has moved. They now park on the east side of Figueroa St right below Avenue 55.

best effing carne around. I do love me some carne asada tacos, and i am always left yearning for tacos sinaloa when I have tacos anywhere else. The magic key to the place is the flavoring in the beef as well as the avocado sauce that this available. When you combine the two, the whole is far greater than the sum of nine parts. If you are in area make sure you go there but as far as i know they are only there from 6 – 11 pm. Don’t forget to try the quesadillas either, also effing good. ***update***dateline-august-2010*** on a crazy taco hunt night I decided to give it another go at finding the illustrious Tacos Sinaloa — I did not. But just as I was giving up on my hunt, parked along Fig and 59th was the trailer. I made an illegal U-turn and jumped out of the car only to find out they were making pit stop. I talked to one of the guys and he confirmed that they are now on York between 52 and 53. I went there a few days later and they were in deed there. Though the setup is a bit different, I think because of it’s location, they now don’t leave the condiments out. And as an update on the update, I went there a few weeks later and found that they were not there in front of the Super A grocery store. So it’s hit or miss at this point. good luck my friends.. .

My favorite Taco Truck in Highland Park. Get the Chorreadas or the burritos. Nice people, good grub, cheap… what more do you want? Sometimes drunk mexicans will come up and ask you for money, fortunately, «no» also means no in spanish if you whities were wondering.
