Long lines. Slow service. Too many wifi squatters so there is no where to sit. No restrooms. I was told to go to the hotel lobby next door.

Hands down one of the nicest looking Starbuckses I’ve ever been in LA. It’s in the middle of Downtown, right in front of the Exchange LA. It looks like a loft, so I subconsciously think of the New York. The coffee doesn’t differ much from other locations. They have at least 3 people at the counter, so it’s prompt too. The only downside is the homeless people creeping around. And Downtown creeps do not mess around, they are aggressive and wierd. One cursed me all over, just because I didn’t share a cigarette with him. Sometimes they seat inside which makes the experience much less joyful.

It was my first time coming here. Staff was nice, and fast with order. The only thing I would have to say is that it wasn’t not that clean. There were a lot of people there. There is quite a bit of seating not much as I would want, but overall the experience was good.

It’s always busy at this location. The previous staff used to be horrible! So slow and no worry for time. Not sure if Saul and Lenny are new but they’re always so nice and in a good mood!

We purchased 4 drinks 1) gingerbread latte came one size smaller than i ordered. Asked barista to fix it, then saw him put more soy milk then flavor, watering it down, had no color. Had no flavor. 2) sweetened passion fruit lemonade was unsweetened and lacking lemonade flavor 3) barista added milk instead of coconut milk to put vanilla bean frappé NEVERCOMINGBACK

Ugh. Of course the establishment is nice and is run by really sweet people. I tried looking for a local establishment I could give my patronage to but this coffee shop was the only one that I could find quickly with free wifi so I could work. Well guess what, no wi-fi that worked and super loud with people that weren’t even customers. Not to mention the man in the background coughing up huge fat loogies. Ugh. I need a sanitizer fast.

This Starbucks use to be horrible! The homeless and trashy types used it as a permanent bus stop –and the bus never picked anyone up. Seriously we avoided this Starbucks like the plague. The manager Topper started crackin the whip and cleaned up the riffraff. Now its a lot better not 100% but i can grab a coffee without being asked ten times for change ect

One of the baristas just now told me that I couldn’t have a cup of water unless I buy something. It’s 80 degrees out. I’m a gold member. This location is awful.

I am seriously considering dropping Starbucks from my two cups a day habit. Were rude and refused to let me use the restroom, i really had to go bad, until after I bought something. I can get dirty looks all across DTLA. Why would I patronage this place for it?

Went to this particular Starbucks during a visit to DTLA. It is located in a busy downtown area with a lot of foot traffic as well as vehicle traffic. The interior has a lot of space, but it was packed on a random Sunday that I went. The barristas are friendly. Nothing special about this Starbucks though. If you are looking for your Sbux fix, this will certainly make up for it. No more, no less.

Yikes! really cool design and really nice space BUT… this place is creepy crawly gross! When you first walk in it looks awesome but once your eyes and nose adjust. .it is not awesome. In fact, just the absolute opposite of awesome. I would honestly never mention it but when I sat down on the main table… There was the grossest grime on it and the seat of my pants got some mysterious oily stain on them. Ran home, changed and those pants went down the trash chute faster than you can say, trash chute. Really nice staff and good coffee though.

The worst Starbucks ever. The only thing this place has going is convenience to my apt otherwise I would never come here. Only 3 people on staff during rush hour and it’s like that every time. Only one barista on bar. Seriously!

All who live here know the diversity of demographic on the block. This Starbucks is a portal! Five stars are for providing water for free to anyone that asks in this neighborhood. Well done, Starbucks. #freewater

Bathroom review: didn’t even go in. The bathroom is surrounded almost constantly by bums/homeless/i don’t know the politically correct broader term to use because not all bums are homeless and not all homeless are bums, sue me. I digress. NON-CUSTOMERS. It’s protected by a keypad and a staff that is too busy making coffee to double as security. The non-customers just wait for someone to come out. They go in and take about 10 mins each, I assume because they’re using it as a place to shower and such. They filter through the rest of the place, asking for money, coughing on you, etc. Quite an unpleasant place to get anything done. It’s the same experience as you would have just walking through a busy street of any major city, except this isn’t a street. Draw your own conclusions on social problems. I’ll evangelize briefly with: why the don’t we have a solution to any this yet? It’s two thousand bloody fourteen and the singularity is on its way yet people still can’t find a place to piss. I’m not sure whether to commend or berate Starbucks for facilitating, but the fact is that this is an unpleasant place to work or drink coffee. The Google-powered wifi is reliable and speedy enough. Use it while next door at Syrup. Unfair, perhaps, but I doubt this corner Starbucks is going out of business anytime soon. It is, afterall, Starbucks.

I instantly regretted coming here. A. Because I’m supposed to be supporting the local mom and pop coffee shops downtown that actually NEED my business. B. because my Starbucks mobile card didn’t bloody work,(which was really the only reason i came here in the first place), and C. The b*tch behind the counter making the drinks was rude, refused to make eye contact, ignored me when i asked for help, and made my drink at 180 degrees which scorched my tongue. I had to sheepishly request another one at 140 degrees. Then she announced the wrong drink so that I took someone else’s and sipped it before realizing it wasn’t a bleedin’ latte. The space is nice, with every single person on a laptop due to the nice big tables. Despite the nice décor, spaciousness etc. it doesn’t have a pleasant nor conducive-to-getting-work-done vibe. Please don’t support this Starbucks; besides the fact that you’re supporting a massive, corrupt corporation, you will most likely regret it because the clientele mostly consists of loud and/or aggressive homeless people, some crack peddlers loudly making deals on their phones or myriad other freaks distracting you from getting any work done. Go to Spring for Coffee, LA Café or any other local coffee shops that truly need your support!

Nice place to people-watch in dtla. I got their green tea frappé, yum. Restroom requires a key. He had needed to use the restroom, which was why we went here in the first place lol. Unfortunately, it was occupied forever by someone. Still better than the teeny Starbucks by Little Tokyo that didn’t have a restroom for customers.

I’ve stopped in this Starbucks location a few times now and I must say I LOVE it!!! The staff is friendly, the café is clean, great music, and exactly what you would expect at Starbucks. Great drinks, salads, sandwiches, fresh squeezed juices, pastries, smoothies. Etc. :) I’m very excited Starbucks is supporting the local community in the revitalized historic core. :) *it would be a huge plus if this location started serving beer and wine like other Starbucks locations.*

For a Starbucks in DTLA, it sure is quite spacious! The selection of mugs, tumblers, bagged coffee, and other merchandise were plentiful. Currently, all holiday items including mugs and pre-packaged Christmas items are on clearance. I was tempted to buy a large tumbler but didn’t want to carry it around on New Year’s Eve. The menu and prices are more or less the same as every other Starbucks. I docked a couple of stars for this location because there are a lot of solicitors, mostly homeless people who came in and went up to each table to ask for money. Some solicitors were more polite than others. Overall, I think this Starbucks experience wasn’t too bad, just never really know what to expect when coming to this location.

It’s salted caramel latte season so I’m going to Starbucks more often as opposed to Spring for Coffee(sorry, guys, love you! I’ll be back soon, promise!). I like the ambiance of this Starbucks because it captures the DTLA feel with the exposed concrete and the hanging Edison bulbs. This Starbucks is also huge. Perfect for people that just want to make this place their office for the day. Service here has always been really good. Very fast, even when there is a long line. This is also one of the few locations that has a Clover machine. I’m told that this makes better coffee.

Yet another Starbucks in Downtown LA — how convenient that they chose a Spring St location, considering Spring St. is becoming known for their different array of coffee shops. Though I love Starbucks *having spent 4 years working for the company* I do hope they don’t end up stealing the business from the other local shops. Having become a DTLA resident, I fully support local business, so I will pop in here once in a while to grab my iced coffee that I just love, and perhaps a breakfast sandwich when I don’t feel like cooking. I have to give a big props to who ever designed & constructed this Starbucks, it was literally built in 1 week and opened this weekend 9÷29÷12. The grounds are huge — lots of seating inside, sorry folks no outdoor seating. Lots of «laptop» seating area against the window too. Conveniently located on the corner of 6th and Spring — though their prices keep going up, you might find some of their options to be cheaper than some of the other local spots. Friendly service, lets hope it stays that way. I’m assuming I’ll find the Starbucks Junkies & tourists frequenting this location since they probably don’t like to step out of their comfort zones too much to try out the other«hot» coffee spots. Street metered parking or nearby parking lots/garages — luckily i only have to walk here :)
