I love this place. I don’t stay here long, I drop off my laundry and they do it for me for a dollar a pound and its done in three hours. I recommend. Don’t worry about using the same washer as a bum because the girls(and one man with a handlebar mustache) there got the back corner on lockdown for paying customers only. I Don’t recommend leaving cash in your pockets or pens for that matter as the cash will be gone and the pens broken on your clothes… a small price to pay for getting away with your clothes laundered for cheap.

It’s tough to tell if this is the same laundromat I’m thinking of, just because«Song Sok Jin» isn’t actually mentioned anywhere in the store or the signage. The sign just says«Laundromat» on it. It’s attached to a 7-Eleven on the corner of Yucca and Cahuenga, and shares a parking lot. I normally wouldn’t review a laundromat, because let’s be honest, it’s a freakin’ laundromat. You walk in, put your clothes in a machine, throw some coins at it and wait a while. This place is a bit different though, since it’s located in the heart of the«Yucca Corridor». Historically one of the most dangerous streets north of Compton, you spend most of your time there avoiding eye contact and fighting off homeless people accosting you for your change. The bums really gravitate here since you’re 1) right next to a 7-Eleven that sells malt liquor, and 2) you’ve gotta have quarters because you’re doing laundry. It’s like dinner and a movie for hobos. If you have to go here, do it in the middle of the day, where the morning sun will ward off most of the vagrants.
