Restaurant did not have any tamales, or liver plate, no tamarindo that’s some basic things that all Salvi places should have not a good Easter lunch! Place was empty such a big place only a few tables with people.

There is a parking lot, which is very convenient considering that street parking is scarce in this area. The venue itself is quite roomy, despite how small it looks from the outside. I have to admit that I didn’t taste much of the food, because of my dietary restrictions. I tried the yucca and curtido. This was good. I ordered platanos fritos with frijoles. Portion size is great(enough for 3 meals), but the platanos were bland and super dry. I think I’d rather have less platanos and maybe add some rice/salad to the plate. My mother said that the empanadas and pastelitos were good. As for the service, it was borderline terrible. I asked the waitress for the menu, which she brought, but she never came back to take my order. I walked up to place my order at the counter. She took my order and left me there waiting for 10 minutes to pay. Meanwhile, I saw her chatting it up in the kitchen and eating. I saw multiple employees eating while they worked. 2 employees made eye contact with me, but neither sent her out or asked me if I was being helped. I would not come here again from my own accord.

Bad service. «Okay» food. The only good part was dancing to cumbias, but even that, theres only a bit of space for about 20 people to dance.

This place was awesome. It’s like a quincenera gone wild with the man singing, the lights on stage and the 13 year olds dressed like they’re going to prom to dance with all the drunk men. The food is good(not great) but good. I will definitely return because of the atmosphere, the peanuts and Salvy beer(even though the beer is overpriced at 6.50!) I must say I’m Mexican and thought the food was ok but my salvadorean husband loved it. Oh cash only but there is an ATM on site.

Oh GOD! What was I thinking? I had driven by this place so many times before and I always wanted to try it so I convinced my Salvadoran ex-bf to go with me on Sunday. The prices are inflated and they don’t serve tap water(bottled water & soda are $ 3.50). There’s a fiesta in there every night of the week. On weekends, they have live music(the singers are not that great) and on certain weekdays, they have karaōke nights. Having been to enough Salvadoran places, I knew that the wait would be long. But when I read the menu’s disclaimer about how they make the food to order so it takes some time, I realized we were in trouble. I would’ve fallen asleep waiting for the food had it not been for obnoxiously loud«music» and hordes of overweight people dancing. After what seemed like forever, we got our pasteles and pan relleno(con pollo). Ok, the pasteles were so dry and flavorless but the pan relleno was actually pretty good. The menu said that each item was $ 6.50, but when the bill came, we were charged $ 7.00 for them. Whatever, I was too tired to complain at that point. I was just so happy to get out of there forever.

No door on one of the men’s room stalls and the sink, two urinals and the main door are all within 4 feet of one another. No divider between the urinals. Why bother with the niceties. Just dig a pit in the center of the room and guys can do their business into it caveman style.

As a salvadoran and a foodie myself was excited to go out and try something new with my three sisters on a Friday night out. The inside of the place looked nice. Chairs were soiled, menus were dirty also. We were all hungry and decided to order #10 in the menu a little of everything to a pupusa, empanada, yuca with chicharrones(fried pork). the food did looked good. But it was nasty! Not what I expected from a salvadoran restaurant. I take pride in the salvadoran cuisine and this cooking has nothing to be proud off. Not only did the food was horrible but the entertainment as well. The singer was like a loud coyote howling at the moon. I just wanted to jump off a bridge to end the misery! Dang! Dang! I would never go to this place again!!!

This place is just okay for me. The food itself is your usual home made Salvadoran fare and it’s pretty good. It has a night club atmosphere and it’s one of the places my Salvadoran mom dresses up to go to. But with that night club atmosphere comes all the noise and while it’s part of a cultural enjoyment, it’s not for everyone. It could also be limiting for non-Spanish speakers since most of the patrons and staff are Spanish speakers. And the biggest issue for me were the alcohol prices. I dunno what it is about Latin establishments but they usually rip you off in the drinks department and they don’t know how to make decent cocktails. But again, that’s not why Salvadorans go there. It really is just to have a good time, a good show, good food, and be with the community. If you want to have an authentic experience with all the trimmings, this is definitely it.

With it’s big purple exterior, it’s kind of hard to miss this place. When you enter you are struck by how it’s cavernous, we were there while everyone was setting up for Karaōke which looked like a lot of fun. We stuck with the El Salvadorean food and got pupusas, fried plantains, and some amazing little empenda-like things that were filled with chopped beef. A few things to know: the waitresses do not speak English, but it’s not really a problem as they are really friendly and kind. They accept credit cards but tack on a $ 1 charge for using it. Not a huge deal but good to know in advance.
