Do you want to Rock? Definitely check out the Rock Walk at the entrance to Guitar Center. There are so many music legends to praise here and if you have any interest you can check out the various audio equipment at a few different shops im this area. The Rock Walk is a quick, free stop to add to any tourist list for music lovers visiting LA.

RockWalk, Guitar Center’s Sunset Blvd location is a landmark. A hall of fame honoring musical artists. Those legends of the music industry are invited to place their handprints into cement blocks that are put on display at the Guitar Center. We went to the store as part of our tour of LA and it was an amazing feeling getting out of the bus and seeing all the handprints. I mean Elvis Presley, John Lennon, Kurt Cobain, Alanis Morissette, Cheap Trick, Johnny Cash, The Cure, Eric Clapton and heaps more. Those guys are brilliant! LA is full of tourist attractions and RockWalk is often overlooked. If you are about to head to LA, make sure you add this place to your list. You won’t regret it I promise. It is more than a guitar store. Its is an iconic venue, where rock stars are immortalized. Just picture yourself standing over the handprints and think about how those famous musicians that you love were here at some stage in the past…

If you’re a fan of Rock n Roll, you’ve gotta stop by. Not only are there plenty of handprints of famous musicians, displays of gorgeous guitars with plenty of history along with other mementos are available for up close viewing too. A really cool artistic neon lit canvas with awesome graffiti like writing of all the musicians/band names. It’s in a great location too, after head into the guitar center if you’re an instrument guru A few of my favorites were: The Doobie Brothers, Aerosmith, The Ramones, Steve Miller, B. B King, Rush, Eric Clapton, The Cure, Run-DMC, Queen

The Rockwalk has always been my second stop everytime I dive down to West Hollywood. It is sort of the gateway to the Strip, always welcoming me of what’s to come and what the LA music scene was, is, and forever will be. This piece of landmark should be a stopover for all who appreciate tasteful music. Rock n’ Roll!

I was pleased to find that nobody had yet listed a cool Hollywood landmark when I Unilocal searched it. Pleased because that means I get another 1st To Review! Oh yeah! Any rock, blues and jazz music lover visiting LA needs to check out the RockWalk. Too many people still aren’t even familiar with it. Most tourists hit the usual spots like the Hollywood Walk of Fame and the Chinese Theater. But the RockWalk, located in front of the Sunset Blvd Guitar Center is another one of Hollywood’s many treasures so it must be given its own listing on Unilocal — and I am here to oblige. For those who know nothing about it, the Guitar Center came up with a neat idea about 25 years ago to attract more attention to their Hollywood store and add to the Hollywood glamour mystique by mimicking the Hollywood Walk of Fame and the Chinese Theater with their own miniature version limited to influential musicians. Rather than footprints, famous stars like Angus Young, Eddie Van Halen, BB King, Eric Clapton, and band members from Kiss, The Ramones, ZZ Top, The Cure, and several others, leave their handprints and autographs in cement. In addition, they’ve got memorabilia like guitars and costumes that were owned by famous musicians in the store’s front display windows. This little museum/landmark continues to grow in collection and popularity.
