This«Inn & Suites» is more like a run down motel. If you’re looking for a nice relaxing stay with all the tip top amenities, this place isn’t for you. If you’re looking just for a place to sleep. this will probably do. Location: I stayed here for one night as I did touristy things in Hollywood. It’s near all the tourist attractions on Hollywood Blvd, pretty much walking distance, but nowhere close to the Sunset strip. =(The area around the hotel is kinda sketchy, not too bad where you fear for your life, but it doesn’t look the greatest. Room: The room we stayed in had a King size bed and was decent. Décor was pretty drab looking but the AC worked very well. The bathroom was kinda scary… the shower looked like a prison shower hole in the wall & not kept up at all. Very simple, toilet & a sink basin w/a mirror & light. No electrical outlets in the bathroom at all though. Lock on the bathroom door didnt work either. Bed was comfy, but I was kinda scared to sleep in it as the whole room put together kind of gave me the feeling I match catch lice or find a cockroach crawl outta the corner of the room. Trying to sleep was a lil hard aside from that as the door is thin & I kept hearing someone screaming & yelling in the little hallway we were placed near. They do offer a «continental breakfast» which only consisted of packaged pastries & coffee, but hey, I guess it’s something at least! Parking was terrible. They’re doing construction… looks like theyre adding on to the building, so there is probably only 15 parkings spots, tops. Hard to maneuver around too. Come here early if you want to guarantee yourself a place to park rather than leaving your car in the sketchy side streets. I only needed a place to sleep, so this place worked for me… but would I stay here again? Probably not. Definitely NOT worth the money.

After nearly forty years of traveling across the country, it would take quite a bit for me to think«This truly is the worst room I have ever stayed in.» The Sunset Inn has set a new low that I severely doubt will ever be met again. For $ 160 a night, I rightfully expect a few amenities. I expect to have a working heater/fan/AC unit. The unit in the first room they put me in, #212, was dead. Or more specifically, burned out. One could see the burn marks on the wall and on the plug. But when I asked for a new room because of this, the clerk in the office feigned surprise, but he did put me in a new room(#102). At least the AC worked. But the shower was crap, the furniture left over from the 60s and 70s, the television was an old Cathode Tube unit with lousy reception, the bedsheets reeked of bleach and the bedding top sheet was ripped in several places. The only thing that came out of staying here is the resolve that I will never again stay at a no-name motel ever again. I would have paid less for a Hilton just a couple miles away and I would have been able to sleep knowing I was in a clean and comfortable room.

The room is not clean, and the shower is crappy. The manager is friendly, he helped me printing out papers that I required.

Worst hotel stay ever! Or may I say motel, definitely not suites as the name of the establishment presumes. I booked a room here for 2 nights for my mom and her husband when they were passing through town on a road trip. Though the place looks a little run down outside they seem to be doing construction/remodeling so we were hopeful the experience would be decent for a decent price. Well unfortunately the whole experience was pretty terrible. Not only were we over charged($ 130 first night, $ 180 second night) but the manager at the desk was rude. He couldn’t find the reservation and therefore charged us even though we already paid on . We had to wait a full week to get our money back of course. On top of that the rooms were disgusting. I felt so terrible for recommending the place once I was inside! The pictures say it all. Can you believe they charge so much for these conditions?! They refused to refund some of our money when we found out they were charging walk in customers $ 99 a night. The manager was also completely unhelpful when the toilet in the bathroom backed up. He told my mom, «Oh the plunger is over there.» and pointed. Really? Some freaking customer service! Also, my mom got a smoking room but when approached about an ash tray the manager handed her a plastic cup and said that’s all he had. Nice. Real nice. All in all I will never let friends and family stay here when in town. Lesson learned.
