One of the the best café/chill zone I’ve been too! Also the workers here are absolutely hard working! The drinks taste much healthier than other cafes! Especially the Mangoo Ice blended is one of the best Mango smoothies. If you love fruits you should definitely come here for drinks with bunch of fruits blended!

My group was looking for Boba and found this place while visiting USC. The tea is tastes very fresh and has a moderate variety from which to choose. The staff was relatively friendly and the environment was clean and comfortable, sleek. If I was still a student I would probably study here al the time. However, I’d say the boba was a little on the denser side and the milk tea wasn’t really milky. So not perfect, but very convenient. I would go here again for tea but not for boba.

This place is located on the corner of Hoover and 24th. It is sandwich between a MetroPCS and a another store. This place has a small parking, but luckily we got parking. Just to be clear, Rewts specializes in brewed tea that so happens to sell their drinks with boba. Don’t expect any powdered flavoring and sweeteners. Rewts is NOT like a Cup O Joy, Quickly’s, Coco’s or Its Boba Time. If you enjoy natural brewed tea and natural processed boba, Rewts is the place to be.

Too organic for me. Maybe because I’m used to the powdered drinks, but my taro mix had too much grit. Pine and Crane does a better job at the taro milk tea with nice big chunks of taro. The taro pieces found from Rewts in my drink were the crumbs from the bottom of the bin. Great spot for USC students. But nothing worth traveling to.

The location: I found this place on Unilocal, considering how close I live by. 2 minute drive actually. probably less if I’m doing 45mph in the residential area. The location seems very clean, but the fact that there was no people on a SUNDAY night tells me a lot. The counter design was pretty cool, it looked like a bunch of tree trunks. Its very quiet inside(considering no one was there). The food: I decided to go with a tiramisu milk tea which in all honesty lacked flavor. It seems as if a handful of boba bits were blended and thrown inside my drink. Perhaps the drink i chose was just not of my liking. The cashier: the cashier was very polite don’t get me wrong. He has excellent customer service. Overall, I am a bit sadden that a tea bar was not what I had expected. I would have to give them a B–

Awesome vibe and tea! I suggest the black tea if you want to be awake! Very clean and highly recommend this place if you want to be quiet and use the wifi :) The way they prepare the Tea is very detail and patience :)

This is my go to study place when near USC. Definitely one of the best tea/milk tea places I’ve been to in California. It has a very nice, clean and refreshing atmosphere that One of my favorite features is the variety drinks offered. You can get tea, milk teas, fruity drinks and even ice blended drinks. I usually switch between regular teas and milk teas, but the variety means there’s something for everyone. I’ve tried around half the menu and haven’t found anything that I don’t like yet. They don’t dump sugar or creamers into their milk tea and everything is made from natural/organic ingredients, so you can actually taste the tea, something you don’t normally find at other tea shops. The tapioca is quite different from the type you’d find in stores like Coco or Ten Ren’s since they don’t used processed ingredients. They also cook them in the mornings/afternoons so it’s fresh It’s definitely not for everyone, since it’s so different, but I prefer it over tapioca at other places. The management is amazing and the workers are all super friendly. They always remember your name, your favorite drink and you can always ask them for a recommendation on what to try next. It’s also really fun to chat with them for a few minutes if you want a study break. Unlike many coffee shops in the area, the wifi is very fast and reliable, so I’m able to watch videos for class or stream music with no problems. It’s a great place to study and I basically spent my days there during finals week.

I really love the ambiance of this place but the management is horrible. A few friends and I came here to study and most of us bought drinks. The manager asked one of my friends to get off his seat because he wasn’t a paying customer. Then he proceeded to turn off the wifi. Given its finals season, my friend explained he had an assignment due in 5 minutes, and we were all students of color, his actions were completely inconsiderate. Never coming back again. Come for bad service.

Oh, I’ve discovered another high quality boba shop outside of the 626(San Gabriel Valley) area! This time is Rewts — a small boba shop(started in December 2014) located approximately half way between the main USC campus & the Staple Center that offers ORGANIC(yea you heard it) boba. Parking: Difficult parking situation and I ultimately parked on 23rd St. Atmosphere: It felt more like a really nice & quiet place to study rather than a place to chit-chat & play card games. There was only one person handled both cashier and tea-making roles. He took his time to prepare and sample each drink before giving his customers their orders. Menu: Pretty interesting tea options. There are four different categories — sweet tea(from black, Oolong, green white, and various herbal teas), lattea(tiramisu, sunrise, matcha, jasmine, sunset, London fog, Thai), tea sangria(Sweetart, Peace, Jack Rose, Blood Orange, Mojitea, Tropical), and ice blended(basically slushes & smoothies — Berrnana Choco, Taro, Milk Freezer, Mangooo, Passionberry, the Blues, Matcha, Frappucino). *** Rewts(house blend, with a lavish portion of milk to go down smoothly, iced + small — $ 3.79): Drink wasn’t too bad at all(not too sweet), but I don’t think this was the best drink option to choose from. Organic boba were more like pearls(basically smaller version of boba) and I thought they were somewhat decent, but not amazing either. *** It might take some trials and errors before you find your favorite drinks here. Other than troublesome parking situation & overwhelming drink selection, I would actually recommend to give Rewts a try if you are near the USC /Staple Center /LA Convention Center area.

In a few words, this place is a hipster boba shop that’s above average but kind of pricey.(3 stars overall since they also took down the check-in deal) They do use high quality ingredients like real milk, tea, and they prepare each drink to how you want it. I got the Rewts Blend Lattea with Boba(basically milk tea with fresh milk with black tea). I thought it was good but maybe it’s because I’m too used to the creamer based milk teas that I thought it didn’t taste as good as other places I’ve been to. The boba isn’t that good, it’s smaller than the normal tapioca size and it felt a little too soft. Overall, you can’t be too choosy around USC. You’ve got Rewts, Cup of Joy, and maybe Coco’s if you’re willing to go to DTLA.

Just like getting a drink from a tea house out in the San Gabriel Valley, but with higher quality ingredients. Extra star because the drink-tender was so friendly and took time to describe each drink type, and when I asked about the pudding he knew exactly want I wanted – none of that pudding in a box, it’s custard pudding made from real eggs and cream! Each drink is shaken and made to order, less sweetened, more ice. The boba isn’t overwhelming, somehow these natural tapioca balls are smaller, and just as soft and chewy as the normally processed ones. I should’ve asked what was meant by hand-made. Nonetheless everything was delicious including their berry slush, a berry smoothie with a tea base. I’m a fan! Only negative is that parking in this area can be difficult. Other than that, nothing but good vibes.

Well, let me start by saying, so far so good! I came here just randomly trying to get a quick drink of «something». Walked in and were real surprised on their arrangement. This spot is pretty chill, yet edgy with décor. You walk into a small pathway with fake grass on the side and a long hallway which has the order and pick up section. I got the basic milk tea boba and I must say it tasted much different than others. I was waiting to get my drink and read an article about how the owner leans on freshness and NOPOWDERS which makes for the different but yet fresh taste. I really enjoyed the boba as well, less chewy than other locations but still tasty. I will be back to this place for sure to try some of their other drinks. The menu looked to have some very interesting options. Parking is a bit of a challenge but not exactly an issue to me. Prices were also fair and nothing over the top.

I don’t know how we saw this place, but glad we did. We had dinner at ebaes right across and decided to come here after dinner. It’s very small but good enough space. They make their tapioca on the spot and same thing with their teas which is nice that they don’t use powder for their milk teas like some places do. Staff is super friendly and nice! Check it out! :)

Minimalist interior design, calm ambience, good study music, and organic drinks! Not only that but yummy drinks! I biked here with a friend after dance practice today and it was pretty hot outside so by the time I got to Rewts I was really craving something fruity. I got the blood orange sangria(no alcohol) with boba and ended up loving it. If you like Lemonade’s blood orange lemonade, you’ll like this! My friend got their green tea lattea which tasted really interesting. I expected more of a smooth milk tea type of drink but it’s a little different. you’d have to try it to understand. A little far but still liked this place :) I see myself coming back here if I’m up for biking that far.

Fresh Brewed Tea Meets Baristas Handmade Love Not sure why everyone is comparing this place to Half & Half as if they have the best milk teas. That aside it was hard to get over how different this place is because when you think milk tea, you tend to immediately compare it to places like Half & Half. Beause of that, you go into it having a predetermined idea of what milk tea should be made and it’s taste profile. Let me tell you what, at first I struggled to understand it because I kept thinking it didn’t have as much milk as your typical taiwanese or chinese milk tea spots or it didn’t have the vast ingredients to add to your drink, then it came to me, this is something completely different. Latte to the Café Sua da… think of it like that, almost the same ingredients, but totally different in where they came from, how they go together, and how they are prepped.

One of the best new spots by USC! Rewts is a great little study spot located across the street from Bacaro and Natures Brew. Not many tables though so snag one if you can! They’ve got great boba that’s fresh, delicious and organic. You can taste the difference in the fresh ingredients. No food yet but the owners say they’re working on it. The joint is owned by friendly approachable guys who are eager to hear feedback. I love coming here and I’m excited to see where it goes!

Came here on a lunch break to get away from it all. Really liked the ambiance here. Think of being trapped in a library resort with elevator music playing in the background. Anyway I digress. The tea is organic here and you can definitely taste it. Got the lavender and it was very aromatic and sweetened lightly with a hint of honey. A bit pricey for a large, but you get what you pay for it. You want cheap? Go to Quickly

One of my friends told me about this place and told me how it has a rating of 5.0. Sure enough I had this itching feeling to see if the hype was real or not. Game Changer: The differences between this place from others tea place is that they use Stevia instead of artificial sugaring. Definitely diabetic friendly! Parking: Parking lot is small and cramped. I would suggest to park where there are two lots next to each parked side by side each other facing north. If you can’t find those, there are meter parking and the residential area. Entertainment: They have a facebook cutout. Take a picture with it… don’t be a debbie downer! :-P Ambiance/Décor: Very comforting with minimal modern furnishings. If you want to study, go towards the back where you can see 5 or 6 small tables to do your work. Service: Barista was friendly, attentive, and very informative about their products. Drinks came out a bit slow because there was only one person working this eveing. Drink: Rewts Lat Tea(house blend, with a lavish portion of milk to go down smoothly): I thought the my drink was decent. Tasted like milk tea. This is diabetic friendly, organic, and less than 90 calories! Sounds awesome to me! :) Would definitely come by when I’m in the area! :)

This is a relatively new addition, and I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in. The setup is nice and cute, very clean and green feeling. You can doodle on the bar and even charge your devices while waiting for your drinks. The drinks are good, it was a little watery when I got their rewts milk tea but the actual tea flavor is strong and more than made up for the wateriness. Their boba is quite interesting, it’s apparently organic so it doesn’t taste quite like something you’d get at half n half or ozero or whatever, but it’s not bad; I actually like it. Anyway, I like this place and will expect to come back again, I just wish it was a wee bit closer to USC so I can bike here every time during my hour breaks between class(since I suck at scheduling my classes)
