One of the best Carnicerias I’ve frequented. Great price. Their meat, chicken AND specially Salsa & Guacamole are super delicious.

When I lived around the corner, my roommates and I would affectionately call this place the«Rotten Produce Market.» OK so they probably buy their meat and produce second-hand from Ralph’s rejection pile, but this is a solid, dirt-cheap neighborhood grocer. One huge plus: the house-made red salsa and guacamole are AMAZING… and only $ 2.99! Because it’s so small, there really isn’t much of a selection, so it is best to only come here when you are in between grocery store trips and you live close by. They also have this fun quarter-pushing/slot machine where you put in quarters and hope that it spits out more quarters! Oh and watch out for the meat — it may be cheap, but it’s sketchy as hell. More personality than Superior.

Typical ghetto market in the hood. This market basically make their money on beer. They placed a huge advertisement banner on the side of their building of the beer they’re trying to sell, with the price of it and it has a profound effect. Cars or walking traffic will come here for the 12-pack as a result of the banner. They operate just like a liquor store without the liquor. Get in and get out fast and easy! And they have a parking lot too!
