Great family run place. The lady is supper sweet and helpful. Normally I get the curry which I always enjoy last time I went I switched it up and I didn’t love the dish it was still good, I was just trying something new and it didn’t work out. However they did give me added broccoli to my dish for no extra charge. They really aim to please and don’t mind you customizing your order.

I love Thai pot. Perfect place to hit up for some Thai delivery. Love the pad Thai and chicken curry. As for delivery, I’ve never had a problem; they may be on the slow side for larger orders… But you forget that once the food comes

So I hadn’t been here in a while because I found another local Thai spot I like better, but the GF decided to give it another go round tonight for some take out for dinner. I park and notice a rather poor grade on the window from LA County Environmental Health — i’m absolutely positive it was better before because I normally wouldn’t find it acceptable, but we had already phoned our order in so I wasn’t going to just bail. I walk in and noticed the restaurant looks different now too… Some remodeling was done. It looks a little bit nicer than it did before. Picked up my order of Thai beef salad, pad see we with pork, and green curry with a side of rice. Total was $ 26.xx. Got home hungry and excited to eat after a long l day’s work and… THUD. It was not a good meal, and nothing like I remember it to be. The Thai beef salad was probably the«best» of the worst — the vegetables and dressing were ok, but the beef was rather flavorless and somewhat tough. The pad see ew — the one dish I always want when I eat Thai food — was way too slippery and wet, and on the salty side instead of a tad sweet. The pork was dry also. The green curry with chicken was way too watery and thin and devoid of any real flavor other than coconut milk. Neither of us enjoyed the dinner very much at all, and the portions were also on the small side. I’m speculating that this place changed ownership, cause even tho it’s been at least a year or more since I’ve eaten there, I remember it tasting much much better. I hate to give bad reviews to small family businesses, so I’m giving it 3 stars when it deserves 2 based on food alone, but I’m hoping the constructive criticism helps. There are a lot of Thai options around and Pot Thai needs to get it together if they want to compete in a competitive Thai food area.

This is for delivery of Pot Thai Café. I reviewed this place in 2011, however seeing as how it’s been so long I figured a new review was in order. First let me say, the Tom Kha is delicious, one of my favorites in the LA area. The Thai Iced Tea is still as monstrous as usual(20+ oz for a large) and yummy. Although the Tom Kha isn’t as creamy as it used to be, sadly. This would be a 5 star review if ordering by phone wasn’t usually a nightmare. If you do not speak thai, expect it to take 20 minutes to actually place your order, as you go back and forth on the spelling of your street with the woman on the phone, and 9⁄10 times the delivery driver will(thankfully) call to confirm your address, as the woman taking orders always gets it wrong. There is a $ 20 delivery minimum(this is fairly new.) I reached the minimum with 1 order of Tom Kha, a large rice, a thai iced tea and one can of coke($ 20.11) One final departing advice, as for the best way to eat Tom Kha(in my opinion): Get one LARGE bowl(mixing bowls work great), add all of your rice to the bowl, then pour all of your tom kha ontop of the rice. Stir. I like to add crushed pepper and siriacha since the tom kha here isn’t as spicey as I’d like it to be. Squeeze 1 – 2 lime wedges to taste. Enjoy the crap out of it.

The lunch special pad Thai and chicken curry was good. Service. NOTSOGREAT. Young waiter was uninterested in giving correct customer service and was pretty rude. Right in the middle of ordering he walks away to answer the phone. Then sends another lady to retake our order.. Yeah, not coming to dine in ever again. Maybe I’ll stick to dine out.

This is my go-to neighborhood Thai restaurant and by far my favorite in the area. Everything I have tried has been delicious and always served quick, fresh and hot. Servings are also ample and prices are very reasonable. Consistently excellent pad thai with tofu, pad woon sen, vegetable scramble noodle, spicy seafood soup and chicken satay. I always pick up to go and take home as I don’t find the ambiance and décor of the restaurant all that great or comfortable. Also, I have never used their delivery service, so I can’t comment on that. But as far as the food is concerned, I am a big fan and eat here several times a month — I love it!

I used to eat here with my family. Food is average. I just like how the place is not crowded. But what made me not want to eat here again is from a delivery experience. I called and ordered Pad Thai with Tofu together with other orders. When I got the delivery, the guy did not give me the receipt and then we realized we did not get the pad thai so I called the lady again(the mom, I assume) and before I can even explain she cuts me off saying«no you did not order pad thai» not giving me a chance to talk when all I wanted to know is if I paid for it. I found her very very rude and nasty and just full of negative energy that I will not want to eat something from here again. I got a headache from hearing her voice on the phone yapping and yapping and every time I remember her voice on the phone, I get a headache. Just negative energy.

Horrible! The orange chicken was a mixture of left over chicken bits with some coagulated sauce that had no citrus taste to it. The green curry was extremely watered down with no major veggies or chunks of meat, the rice tasted like something out of a microwave and the prices were too high. Stay away! They take forever to make your bland meal, you are much better off going to Thai Coconut on Colorado!

This is my go too place for Thai food! I would give this place a 5 stars if the food is consistent. I order for pick up once a week but it’s always a gamble. Some days the seafood soup is amazing and filled with flavor and other days it taste flavorless and watered down. Overall this place is one of the best Thai restaurant I’ve been to and believe me I’ve tried a lot of different joints around.

Flavor is good but every time I’ve ate here I have stomach problems. I decided to give it a try one more time but it was still the same thing. Needless to say I will not be going back. Oh I ordered the chicken satey with chow mein every time.

They make Thai Basil Beef with ground beef! Most Thai restaurants here usually serve this dish with sliced beef instead. The prices are reasonable, food is good, and they deliver!

I really like this ma and pa Thai restaurant and would recommend it to people in eagle rock whom want a quick Thai food fix. I’ll be back! I got the red curry with duck($ 8.99) and it was very delicious The portions were generous and there was a lot of duck meat/pineapples. The pad thai however was a bit disappointing but it might be because I have high expectations for pad thai after trying some of the best in California. The venue is small but very inviting and spacious, great use of space. The restaurant and restrooms are very clean. The service is solid and efficient. I’ll be honest in that the food is not the best when compared to Thai restaurants in Alhambra/more Asian saturated communities, but it is solid. I’ll eb back to try the lunch options which I think are great deals!

We order delivery or take out from there occasionally. They used to be better, but their coconut soup is a little on the watery side nowadays. Their food is decent. Dine in location set up a little weird, a bit uncomfortable. I prefer to order take out rather than eating there.

Place is small quaint. Had the lunch special. Decent prices. Had the yellow curry. Homemade taste mmmm. My friend ordered the BBQ chicken with pad thai noodles. It was good. Pad Thai was a little wet but good for the price. There was a good lunch crowd. Unfortunately, they couldn’t keep up with keeping the tables up and cleaned for new incoming customers, but overall the food, price & place was above average.

I just finished filling up on white rice to compensate for the 8 pieces of meat in a meal I paid $ 6.50 for. Oh wait… I didn’t pay 6.50 even though that’s what it said on the window outside before I came in. They still charged me their«new» price and said«I’m sorry» without making a simple 45 cent adjustment. Am I being the cheapskate here? Upon review of my photo and another coworker who ordered a pad Thai special(that comes with no meat mind you) and the rest of the staff who saw our portion to price ratio the answer is… NO! Definitely not coming back. Should have gone with my first instinct of panda cravings.

More often than not, the tiny hole in the wall mom & pop restaurants is the best place to get those delicious one of a kind dishes. The Pot Thai café is located in this tiny strip mall in the small community of Eagle Rock, right next to CVS and an Optometry shop, if you blink — there’s a good chance you’ll miss this place *grin. The place is small, comfy seats and has a cozy feel once you get yourself situated. The décor I have to say is a fusion of corky and exotic, think of a traditional Thai elephant statue surrounded by sparkly and glittery pink hearts and multicolored lights! Funky & Funny! There is something about the Pad Thai that makes me order it over and over every time I’m at a Thai Restaurant, I’m happy to report that this place serves a very good one! You can order the crushed peanuts on the side or already sprinkled on the dish, it is totally up to you, they are very generous with their serving — this meal is good enough for two(unless you are really really hungry) The Tom Yum shrimp is so-so okay, don’t get me wrong, it is still pretty good but I’ve had other Tom Yum Shrimp that is totally out of this world where the flavor, herbs and spices totally comes through, Pot Thai’s Tom Yum is a little on the sweet side so it somehow takes away from the fresh, «herby» and earthy taste that I always loved about this dish. Their combination fried rice is the bomb! The fried-rice is perfectly cooked and seasoned, the meat combination or beef, shrimp and chicken are done to perfection which makes for a delightful meal. Overall we are very satisfied with POt Thai and highly recommend! Another hole in the wall find! Enjoy!
