It definitely looks scruffy on the outside, but take a tour and you’ll be surprised. All the units are remodeled with granite countertops and token ikea cabinetry, most with hardwood laminate flooring. The apartments are roomy and run at a decent rate considering the proximity to LA and Pasadena. Lily the manager is a little scattered but very nice and prompt with responding to calls for repairs. The biggest issue I have had in this apartment is that rollie pollies can get under the front door and crawl into the apartment especially when it’s warm out. That being said, I’m on the first floor so that may not be an issue for other levels. Considering other insect infestations I’ve heard of in apartments, I consider this pretty benign. This apartment does have a lack of amenities: no pool, rusty barbecues, no balcony, no buzz-in entrance(unless you have a landline), no gym. I get along just fine without all this but if you’re looking for a place with all the bells and whistles this is not for you. Overall, it’s a great apartment and has exactly what I needed: a nice place, close to school, and a quiet place to study.
