Here’s what I have in my Unilocal draft for Monster Tacos, written at about 1:30 early Saturday morning: Carne Assad Pastor Trips Nochas I think this means that my friends and I got tanked at Short Stop and this truck was here for us, with carne asada, al pastor, tripas, and nachos. I don’t remember much about ordering and paying, but I do remember eating nachos and freaking out about the deliciousness of the cheese sauce. I also took bites of whatever tacos came my way and they were all quite tasty, though I am blurry on the details. I suppose it’s possible Monster Tacos is mediocre in daylight, but it was there when we needed a late night treat. I was also pleased to find that despite drinking like I was in my early 20s, I wasn’t hung over the day after this outing. Maybe these tacos and nachos soaked up some booze. In any case, they hit the spot, and I’d highly recommend this truck if it appears out of the haze of alcohol like some kind of beautiful taco mirage.

Stick with the tacos. They are greasy and good. I made the mistake of ordering nachos which are my favorite. THEYHAVETHEWORSTNACHOS. Chips, nasty nacho cheeze sauce, and meat. No beans, no salsa, no flavor. What respectable mexican joint uses cheeze sauce ?? gross gross gross.

THIS is my ideal taco truck. They stopped near the building I work at in Glendale, at the corner of Doran and and Orange. Apparently they’re only here for about a half hour a day around 10:15. But from now on, I will track this truck down. I had 2 carne asada tacos and a fish taco. The asada was your perfect taco truck/small hole in the wall restaurant asada, nothing chewy, nothing fancy, just great asada. Co-worker had the nachos. Asada, nacho cheese, everything the way it should be. Compares to the my long-time favorite hole in the wall, La Estrella. Wish they’d come around during lunch time. Word is they’re still in Glendale for lunch, just too far to walk. I’ll be coming around anyway.

I drive by this taco truck on Fletcher Dr all the time picking up my son from school. We stop frequently and have yummy tacos. This truck is very clean and the food consistently good. In the evenings it gets a little crowded, but it is worth the little wait !

I’ve lived in LA for 4 years now and this is the best taco truck I’ve ever encountered, and know that no other truck will ever compare. The chicken taco is 100% white meat juicy chicken breast. Do you really need to know anything else? They have 3 salsas — red, green, and the hottest is the orange habanero. All 3 are distinctly tasty… the habanero is to to DIE for! Straight up addicted to it. The nachos are HUGE and yummy — not for the faint of heart. I’ve also tried the chicken burrito and that too was delicious. I’ve never had a torta from here but saw one that a co-worker ordered and man, it looked good. Try these guys. You can’t go wrong!

Is this the same Monster Taco truck on Fletcher Drive in Glassell Park? Very, very good tacos. Everything had been very good. It is in the weirdest place though. There is nothing around, but closed businesses, and they are there at night. When I first saw this truck, I thought the truck had been abandoned after being stolen, or it had broken down. It’s like having a taco truck in an alley. Just not used to seeing anything on that street at all. I don’t think you will be disappointed, but maybe a little a-scared.

HA! I can’t believe this taco truck is on Unilocal! These guys are RAD. They stop in front of the building I work for the lunch hour EVERYWEEKDAY. They’ve changed our life. Where once we only had the option of peanut-butter-and-jelly-from-home or Carls Jr., we now have a delicious taco beacon of food hope. My class go-to’s: . Chicken burrito + sour cream + their green salsa . Carne asada torta + red sauce . Al pastor tacos + habenero sauce AND they have coke and sprite in the bottle. YAY!

Great food and cheap. $ 1.25 tacos. Al pastor was delicious. The best thing they have is the salsa. Try the picoso(hottest) style sauce. Located near Glassell Park on Fletcher near Eagle Rock Brewery. The cooks were wearing t-shirts that said Tacos Don Paco, but the truck said Monster. Enchiladas, burritos, sopes, huaraches and tortas are just a few things they make beside tacos. UPDATE: I have gone to the area recently and they are NOT around.
