I’m not really sure what I should say about Miho san. In some ways I’m writing this review more for my wife than for myself. It’s a well known fact that Asian women have difficulty finding a stylist who truly understands how to cut their hair properly outside of Asia. My wife has tried countless stylists since she moved to the United States with limited success. Of course she would research like crazy and do her utmost to insure a good result. Most usually she would be upset and want to go back to Osaka and have her longtime stylist cut her hair. But now that isn’t even an option anymore. He’s moving to Paris to work with the houses of Haute Couture. So what to do? Back to all her blogs. Back to Unilocal.Back to the drawing board. And then she found Miho san. Even I was amazed with the precision and technique with which she cut and styled her hair. Especially the last little bit where she spent 15 minutes snipping these almost imperceptible pieces of hair. After she was done they didn’t seem nearly so imperceptible. It was amazing and my wife was so happy. So how was I there to witness all this you say? I got my hair cut next. And for the first time since we came back from Japan in April I was able to get a haircut that looked like it was for my head instead of someone else’s. My wife would never write a Unilocal review. It just isn’t her thing. That’s why she’s married to me. Miho san is an incredible stylist. If she gets my wife’s seal of approval you can count on it. Don’t expect a bargain. Expect a great style and cut.

Miho is an amazing hair stylist! I love every cut she has given my boyfriend and me. The cuts also grow out perfectly and managing my hair has been easier because of her. Miho styled my hair for the Grammy’s one year and it’s still my favorite hair style to this day. She is incredibly friendly and her haircuts are amazing.

Miho has been cutting my hair for years and she is fantastic. She is really a true artist. My hair always grows out very well and evenly — never awkward and poofy. She is also exceedingly nice and fun to talk to. For reference, I am male and non-Asian and she knows exactly how to manage my hair.

Miho is the best hair stylist I have ever been to. I think Japanese people have a thing with cutting hair. All of the good stylists I have been to are Japanese and Miho is pretty magical with her styling skills. I was down in LA for a bit and kind of wanted to see what my hair would look like permed. It was definitely pricey but Miho did it quick and very professionally. She apparently use to work on asian celebrity’s hair so I felt like I was getting star treatment… for a price of course. She specializes in perms so it was a good thing I went to her. While she was working on me, I could tell she knew what she was doing and she made it seem so effortless too. I got a perm before from another person and it must’ve taken 3 whole friggin’ hours to get it all done. Miho did it in an hour and a half WHILE carrying on a fun conversation with me. I think it’s really worth it though. I can’t afford to be going there every time I want a hair cut but occasionally when I like myself a little more than usual, I’ll get a cut from Miho. Miho Style rocks!
