Maurice Elihu, MD

I came into to see Maurice Elihu at the end of 2014
I explained to him that my obligation to insurance was maxed out and so I had the opportunity to run plenty of tests and hopefully discover why I was having issues with gas, bloating, stomach cramps.
He said he understood, but what really happened was he suckered me into doing test after test while claiming he was trying to help and was treating me as if I was his own brother. What happened in the end is he racked up tons of bills into the next year and started sending them to me while coming to ZERO conclusions. I went online and did some reading, tried taking probiotics and form $ 20 a month for probiotics I buy through amazon, I have solved my issues no thanks to Dr. Elihu and his medical «expertise»

I don’t usually post reviews about doctors. But I had to because Dr. Elihu is AMAZING! He is so knowledgeable and knows what he is saying. He really cares about his patients. He is very sweet and gentle. I wish I can give this doctor 10 stars!

Dr. Elihu is hands-​down one of the most caring, kind, smart and patient doctors I have ever visited. A few months ago I had extremely mysterious stomach pains. I called his office and he, himself, returned my call within two minutes and told me to come in right away. He patiently and thoroughly asked me a ton of questions to really pinpoint the problem. He did some tests and very considerately kept following up with me, concerned about my pain. He is just awesome. I wish all doctors had his bedside manner, intelligence, and most importantly, kind heart! I cannot say enough about him. He was a true angel to me!

Dr. Elihu is a thorough, warm, and caring doctor who diagnosed and treated me through a complicated gastro combo of problems that had accumulated over time and worsened post pregnancy. I was impressed by his thoroughness, his knowledge, and also his openness to investigate aspects that to me in the beginning didn’t seem connected but then were. Gastro issues are always hard to treat and I am incredibly happy to say I’ve gone from an intensely limited diet and cooking all my own food to eating nearly everything, including at restaurants. Plus no more mysterious recurring mid section pain and other symptoms. He has my high recommendation.

Dr. Elihu is a good doctor and is clearly very knowledgeable on gastroenterology issues. I really liked how Dr. Elihu carefully listened to all of my concerns. He spent about 30 minutes with me during my first visit making sure to understand my patient history in detail so as to give me an appropriate diagnosis. It was a very nice change as so many doctors don’t seem to listen to you. He also took detailed and thorough labs so as to make sure everything was checked out. He’s also very good about following up. I’m really glad that I went to see him.
