Yes as most reviews food is great. I would give it 5 stars but customer service isn’t the greatest, wish they would have someone a bit friendlier up front.

This place could have been good if we hadn’t found a rock and hair in our plate. They didn’t really care when we told them, kinda just apologized and said sometimes rocks are in the beans and they try and clean it out the best they can. Overall it was good food.

I’m sure I have driven by this place several times. I would have never stopped in if my friend would not have brought me. Exterior looks scary. Inside its a little better. They try to keep it clean but it still looks like your in TJ. The food was ok. Chilaquiles were too spicy for my taste. The champurrado however was very very good. Tried it and most likely won’t be back.

Local spot I’ve driven past many times and didn’t give a second look. I am now regretting that. Lovely pancakes! Delicious chilaquiles and Agua de Jamaica is fresh and homemade, no powder package here. Great tasting chiles too. Nothing fancy but a warm family style atmosphere. One of the many Gems in Boyle Heights…

Driven by this place hundreds of times and never stopped until today. This is the definition of a hole in the wall. The décor is nothing more than plastic tables from Costco and TVs playing I Love Lucy. But what lacks in décor is made up for in the kitchen! The menu is small but the Flavor is big! Me and my better half split an order of chilaquiles that come with Beans and Homestyle potatoes both like Mom used to make. The Chilaquiles sauce is full of flavor a hint of spice but perfect with the carne asada it comes with and blends in to the eggs! We also had pancakes and they were some of the best pancakes I’ve ever had in my life worth checking out!

Long overdue review for Mary Alicia’s! This is the kindest family owned restaurant in the neighborhood. I used to come everyday with my grandma who had dementia(sometimes the illness causes outbursts), but they were always so patient and accommodating. The food is also yummy. their oatmeal gives me life. Thanks Danny and family for a great experience.

The best Mexican food I’ve ever had hands down — I can’t think of any other way to put it, the food is just perfect. The best tortillas, the best rice, and the best beans.

First time here and even though it wasn’t a horrible experience, I can’t say it was a great experience either. No one acknowledges you when you walk in so you’re left wondering if you order at the register or sit down and wait for them to take your order. Finally I asked someone and they referred me to the register. I asked the girl for an extra few minutes before ordering since we were new to their menu. She wasn’t pleased… After a few questions about their menu the girl hesitantly went to the back to ask for a sample of their chilaquiles sauce and luckily I got to try it. I was pleasantly surprised by a deliciously mild salsa that was sure to be a winner in some chilaquiles! We decided on the chilaquiles plate and a chorizo breakfast burrito with an horchata and a jugo de naranja con zanahoria. The burrito was definitely a nice size but was made up of lots of bland rice and beans and a tiny lil bit of bland chorizo con huevo. The dish that really saved the experience was the chilaquiles plate. It was served with some crema, queso, chopped onions and two big ass perfectly cooked eggs on top and a side of carne asada and some rice and beans. They didn’t mention they were out of the potatoes but I’m assuming they replaced them with the rice instead. I’d definitely be back for more of their chilaquiles and maybe to try a torta or some chile verde con puerco but if you’re coming for a friendly welcoming experience, this isn’t the place. By they way, their horchata and carrot/orange juice were good!!!

Great food and good service. Place was really clean as well. Fresh homemade tortillas. Tamales were delicious along with other plates here, such as the chilaquiles, menudo, chumparado, and so on…

Mmmm spicy chilaquiles in red salsa are on point… The chile used for the red salsa is spicy and flavorful on top of that, the over medium eggs are good. You can’t go wrong here, the portions are manly and prices are fair. The service is good and the environment is homey.

My friend that grew up in the area brought a group of us here for lunch. I had the carne asada with beans and rice. I gotta tell you this is the real thing the red chile they give you at your table is absolutely delicious. The tortillas are home made everything is! I need to come back and try more stuff.

Little hole in the walls are the best! Came here with my mom for breakfast. Had the asada n eggs with potatoes n beans. Everything was very tasty! It’s self service once u order. You have to pick up your own food. They do not bring it to u… So no need for tips! Great prices too! Need to stop by if you’re around the area

The food at this restaurant is amazing! We had the chilaquiles, huevos rancheros and the enfrijoladas which are like enchiladas except instead of the sauce, it’s beans… delicious! The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is because the food ordering and paying process is a little unorganized. With that said we will definitely be going back.

I really love the food here but every single time I come to this place, they forgot my order, three times in a row now. the last time I ordered some eggs and oatmeal, left for 20mins because they told me that it would be that long. Only to come back 30mins laterand have the cashier scramble around looking for my ticket and overhearing them say, I forgot that order. It will be my last time here.

Breakfast here is awesome. Always hot not warm. Try the chilaquiles with onions, sour cream, cheese, and salsa of your choice. Tamales are great to any kind you want they have, Chicken, red beef, green beef, jalapeño with cheese and green salsa. Oh beans and rice are the bomb. Carne asada plate are so good. Breakfast with eggs with any kind of meal. Come, eat, enjoy. You won’t be disappointed.
