Love their food!!! It is cheap. They serve abundantly. A great selection of traditional mexican and some Salvadoran dishes. It is full most of the time, take some extra time.

Not what I remembered from back in the 90’s and it took FOREVERRRRR for my al pastor quesadilla, and it tasted ok. I guess I’ll give it another shot, just not anytime soon.

Great place and cheap. Authentic Mexican food that tastes homemade. The only thing that really sucks is the wait for your order. It can take up to 20 to 30 min to get your food so I recommend calling ahead.

Best little hole in the wall. Authentic and reasonably price and has a good variety of food and meats.

So I used to go to the Mariela’s on 3rd St back in the day and I never had a bad experience. I was at the bakery right next door(GREAT bakery, btw) and decided to grab a burrito. Bad call on my part. The food was extremely bland, and the meat was pretty gross. I wish I would’ve saved my money and gone somewhere else.

This place fulfills my bro needs. You get great portions, with a decent quality, for a low price. You can get a filling burrito with beans, rice, and your choice of meat for $ 5.50. I’ve had the beef, carnitas, and chicken. The chicken is definitely the best. Its extremely bright and obnoxious inside with red and yellow everything, but I live right up the street so I just take it home.

This hole in the wall joint is WAY better than Taco Delta down the street. I’m a burrito lover and had a carne asada burrito at Taco Delta a few days ago because they had good reviews which I shouldn’t have trusted. Then I found this joint on Unilocal today. I love their food! This isn’t a fancy restaurant but their food is legit. Price is very reasonable. Salsa is so flavorful, both red and green. Their chips are super crunchy and also flavorful. We ordered 3 tacos plate($ 5.50) and carne asada wet burrito($ 6.50) and both were so delish! Especially taco plate is a great deal, it comes with 3 tacos, rice and bean and cheese for just $ 5.50. I’m glad we tried this joint because I was very disappointed with a burrito from Taco Delta the other day.

This is place is my go-to before a Dodger game! They are down Sunset Blvd not too far from Chavez Ravine. The parking lot is very tight and small, I’d recommend parking on the road adjacent to the building since people tend to double park you in -.- This place is a hole in the wall type spot, so it’s best you use the address haha it’ll be facing towards Sunset Blvd but towards the back of this small shopping complex. They have a variety of meats to select from, making it a perfect taco shop. They have a restroom towards the back that gets filled up quickly. It helps to speak Spanish but is not required. The more you create a rapport with the full time staff the quicker you’ll get your food. I had the tacos de lengua, carne asada, and some others one. Their food is on point along with the salsa they provide! The horchata drinks also help to compliment the food here. Speed is not their strong suit when they get busy and it’s even worse when they have their regulars haha but I’d still come here for great tacos. This place isn’t the most fanciest place, but even a McDonald’s looks better than here. They have a fair amount of seating, but it’s too close and small for grown adults. Also the layout of the tables and chairs makes it difficult for customers to get to their seats. Overall 4 stars because their food is great! Gotta knock them down for the interior look and set up of their chairs & tables. The preferred regulars helps to motivate you to keep coming back and get that nod of recognition haha

WORSTCUSTOMERSERVICE I HAVEEVERHAD! I called in advance to place my order and when I get home my order was wrong so I called them telling them about and they were trying to put the blame on me. I went in so then can fix it and everyone was so rude. They remade my food but I did not enjoy it at all, somehow they made it worse. I am usual customer and I’m so disappointed on how much they lack customer service.

Delicious authentic Mexican food with non-hipster prices! Yes, your food WILL take a long time, but if you call at least 30 minutes before you pick it up, then you can avoid the problem of waiting. :)

This place may have some good food but their service sucks beyond compare. I placed my order and 30mins later they still have yet to make it, with orders placed after mine going out before mine. And when I asked about my order they get mad at me!!! Ridiculous

If you’re Euro-American(«White») and want cordial, speedy service, don’t go here. I was greeted by scowls from the moody cashier & glaring looks by many of the clientele. I’m hoping this is because I look«different» and not because of my actual race, but I wonder(as I am beginning to wonder more and more, being a minority in L.A.). I ordered ONE simple burrito to go, yet FIVE customers who ordered after me got their food before I did. And most of them had much more complex orders than mine. The burrito was ok, but needless to say, I will never go back to «Marielas.»

I just love this Mexican spot, my experience here has always been good the food is delicious, it’s not pricey, good portions, though I’ve only had the Cosido Caldo, and the Taquitos plate. Im just hooked on those two.

Thanks to my soon to be husband… This is by far one of my favorite burrito place! Service is great and friendly and the food is very good. The meat is cooked right and seasoned perfectly! My all time favorite is carne asada burrito with everything but beans(since I don’t really eat beans) and sometimes a wet burrito. Their soup is also good my favorite one is cosido and it’s very flavorful. Their food is really good! It’s authentic as is to me when it comes to Mexican food. Forget Del taco and Taco Bell… Mariela s Tacos is the best!

The food here is just okay. It’s passable if you’re starving or hung over, but it’s really nothing to write home about. I’m surprised it’s so highly rated. I might give it three stars on the basis of the food alone, but the service is so incredibly slow that I had to give it two. I ordered a carne asada taco plate and it took over 20 minutes to get my food. I don’t really understand why the other reviewers were raving about the asada, it’s pretty bland and I didn’t even want to finish the tacos. There are much better options in the area, I won’t be going back here anytime soon.

Had dinner here tonight since it was down the street from our hotel. Nothing special. I had a wet carne asada burrito and my man had carne asada tacos. I’ve definitely had better.

Consistently the best burrito I have ever eaten. There is something about the way they prepare their beans and the tortillas they use that really set this burrito apart from others I’ve tried in Los Angeles and elsewhere. Make sure to try both the red and green salsas. I offer to buy a bottle of red salsa every time I go there but am always turned down. If anyone knows where I can get salsa with that flavor please send me a message. Even if it’s a recipe I will be forever in your debt

I’ve been coming here for years — they have the best bean and cheese burrito I’ve ever had. My sister loves the carne Asada nachos(very tasty), mom likes the taquitos(also yummy), dads a fan of their tacos, and boyfriend likes the chicken burritos. Never had anything that disappointed me. Be ready to wait 5 – 10 mins for your food when you order, they make everything fresh! I usually call in :)

When it comes to a taco craving, I can always rely on Marielas to satisfy that craving. I have been going here for years and have never really had a bad experience. The only bad thing I can say is that when they are busy, they tend to work slow and it takes a long time to get your meal. But that’s cuz they make everything so fresh. I have had their asada taco sand their beef cocido. Its what I always come back for. Ohhhh and their Agua Frescas de melon. It’s sooo refreshing.
