Passable, even average among people who serve fresh, decent-quality birds, but this definitely not amazing, blow-your-mind stuff in the way that it’s advertised. Plus, the wait at the truck was epic-long. Fries needed seasoning, too, and to be cooked better. And I won’t lie: I like some moist dark meat, but I was worried part of mine wasn’t really cooked through. They’re just doing too much volume to focus on quality being really outstanding. I understand it, I just don’t recommend it as something one NEEDS to try. I know Ludo. He wouldn’t have been a fan of this stuff.

C’mon, 5.50 $ for 2 chicken strips… RIPOFF… It’s unfortunate that you would alow customers to go home and open that container that has nothing worth the $ 5.50 you charge. How much could it possibly cost you to run that truck and charge these outrageous prices. You give a bad name to the food truck business.

I had it for the first time last week when they came to century city. My boyfriend has raved about it for months, so I decided to give it a try. The chicken sandwich was OKAY. It needed more seasoning, and the flavor was little bland. The coleslaw in the sandwich does give it a big tangy taste, but not enough to flavor the whole sandwich. However, one good thing about it was that the chicken itself was not greasy. My friend ordered the chicken strip, and the portion was very small. Overall, i don’t think i’ll pay 9 dollars for the food again.

*******************3.5******************************** I got a chance to try Ludo fried chicken and it was pretty good. There were a great crunch to it and it smell really nice w/the thyme and rosemary seasoning on top. I wanted to try more things but I just came back from lunch and I was stuff but how many times will I get a chance to try it so I order some chicken anyway. Oh yeah the best part is there were no bones in the fried chicken. i am not sure if every fried chicken is exactly like it but so far so good. Is this the best fried chicken I ever eaten? No but it wasn’t or even close to the worst more like different… but the rating should be more in the top 70%.

I was heading to MacMall and saw bunch of food trucks lined up on 14th and Santa Monica. There were families, couples, skaters, bicyclist and people getting out of limos… it really was a scene from a movie. I decided to get the fried chicken at Ludo truck with a blood orange drink. OMG! It was unbelievable! Super crispy on the outside and cooked just right on the inside. I tried all the sauces but my favorite was the mustard. This is great fun to take a date or you whole family. I will be stalking the Ludo truck where ever it goes. Yummy!

Yum, yum, yum, yum, yum. I shared the 2 piece breast strips with a friend– we just wanted to taste it since we’d already eaten dinner, and I really, really wished I was hungry enough to eat more. The breading is heavily seasoned with lots of black pepper which gives it a bite, and since I prefer white meat I was happy with the chicken breast strips, which were tender and flavorful. The strips were not super-crispy, but were crispy enough, and the bernaise sauce was delicious with them. Next time I’m hoping to catch them when they haven’t run out of lavender biscuits yet. I can definitely say these are the best chicken fingers I’ve ever had(though perhaps that’s not saying much).

The worst fried chicken I’ve had from a truck in my life. I saw a long line and the truck had things written about them, that the chef who came up with the concept was on Iron Chef, so I thought hmmm, it must be worth it. I ordered the boneless chicken with honey mustard dipping sauce and a side of fries cost me $ 10.25. I sat down to eat to discover the hunk of meat was about 75 percent batter and hidden deep inside was maybe 2 or 3 bites of meat. The fries were nothing special and also very small portion — definitely not worth $ 2.25! I am extremely disappointed in this truck and will never order from here again. I mean, it wasn’t so much just the quantity that I was disappointed in, but if you charge $ 10.25 for a meal out of truck, make sure it’s good! Sorry Ludo.

Overpriced Fried Chicken from a truck… mediocre taste… not really a fan. I tried Ludo Bites Fried Chicken at LA Artwalk because this was the only truck with no line. I am reading other people’s review and I don’t see the tastefulness or the fried perfection. I tried the chicken balls and the Chicken strips since I didn’t want to deal with the bone. They were salty and the mustard dipping sauce was just whatever. I always feel a bit uneasy about giving such a low rating while others are giving 4 – 5 stars, but I’ve experienced what I’ve experienced and I’ve tasted what I’ve tasted… and it surely wasn’t anything close to satisfaction for me :(

Great fried chicken sandwich! But even better are the french fries. Fried perfectly. I wish I had more fries to eat!

Probably the best tasting fried chicken sandwich in LA. It’s great to get this kind of quality tastefulness from a truck!!! I can’t give it full stars because I lived up in Berkeley and nothing beats the fried chicken sandwich at bakesale betty’s.

I tried the fried chicken balls(?) the crust was deliciously seasoned with the honey mustard dipping sauce… I was in love! there were 3 to the order slaw… spicy and vinegary and yummy! that was 1 month ago. I was so happy to see them again Monday at Washington /Overland blvd… I ordered the glaze wings and chicken balls again. The wings had an odd flavor and the texture was off putting. SO no more wings! Chicken Balls were the best and lavender biscuits flaky flavorfull goodness! Maybe it was a bad day for wings… I will give it another try!!! The priices were ok… food is good… except the wings!

Ludo Fried Chicken truck serves 3 style of fried chicken; Fried Chicken, Chicken Strip(white meat) and a Chicken Sandwich. All comes with 5 choices of flavor sauces from standard BBQ to a spicy sauce which I forgot the name of it. Service was friendly and they actually serve the my order quite fast. I order the white meat chicken strip and the crunchy fried chicken texture was very tasty. The fries was good and the Ludo slaw was amazing! The Ludo slaw also has a very nice and delicate balance of spiciness giving the slaw just the right kick. The slaw was extremely fresh tasting. I was a bit disappointed with their BBQ sauce though. It was ok but nothing uniquely different about it. Considering the PR on Ludo’s culinary background. I would expect even a simple BBQ sauce to be a bit more tasty or special in some ways compared to their awesome Ludo Slaw. But I was let down by the standard BBQ taste. Even if the BBQ sauce has a bit of kick would be awesome. Maybe I will try the other sauces next time. My chicken strip order came with 3 chicken strip plus one free sauce, fries and Ludo Slaw. Additional sauce will cost an additional $ 1.25 if I remember correctly. Just the order alone come out to $ 11 which is a bit steep. Not sure if I will come back but at least I gave it a shot with Ludo Truck. Happy Eating.
