This Guy! Out of control. This is the shame of having this shoe repair only in the neighborhood. I fully chose to go to 4th/Hill because this guy quoted a reasonable price but then demanded a deposit off $ 20 shoe repair. I’m fine with cash only and $ 20 for my favorite vintage shoes but his customer service was beyond disappointing.

Ok service. Not overly friendly or informative about shoe restoration. I’ve been to other places where they offer different options regarding shoe repair and even give advice but this place isn’t like that. Drop off your shoes, tell them what you need, return a week later to pay for your shoes and go. I only chose this place because it was close by, otherwise, there are far better shoe repair shops.

I’ve brought numerous pairs of shoes here! Before bringing in my nice designer shoes, I was a bit hesitant about the place. The staff is so friendly and they did a remarkable job on my shoes. I apparently can’t seem to walk and the plastic/rubber part on my heel always seems to have to get repaired often. Or maybe I don’t have enough shoes to wear? My shoes came back in great shape and the quality of the work was really nice. They even shined some of my shoes for me on the house. They also dry clean! I brought in a couple dresses and collared shirts and so far no complaints. I’ll definitely be coming back to this place more and more. I love the customer service and the positive attitude and who can say no to great quality. Be sure to check this place out and see for yourself!

Beware Lucas Shoe Repair is a cash only business. The friendly couple who run the place neglect to mention this when you drop your shoes off and there is no signage anywhere in the shop indicating this. I only found out when I went to pick my shoes up and didn’t have cash on hand to pay the bill. Like many people these days, I pay for very few things with cash and prefer credit or debit cards. While I can understand as small business why they would prefer cash to avoid the bank fees associated with cards, they owe their customers the courtesy of knowing this up front. Now I have to make an additional trip back to pick them up when I have more cash with me. Bottom line — good work, but make sure you hit the ATM first.

Lucas Shoe Repair did an AMAZING job practically resurrecting my friend’s Cole Haans from the dead. They were tore up & beat down, nearly sole-less sad things that came back looking good as new. I recently took in a pair of my own shoes to have them put half-soles in — the new soles fit the shoe perfectly, as did the light brown color.(They would not have looked hot with those asphalt-colored rubbery things…) Was extremely pleased to see them do such a great job, especially since these were the most expensive shoes I’ve bought in awhile. The shop is run by a friendly couple who also offer alterations and make keys, which they do just as well.
