Bleh… Sorry… This place is dirty the people are distant, unless they know you, frankly the food was really nothing to write home about. They do take cards and they do sell some sad looking fish on ice behind glass where it’s hard to see the quality of the fish the bread was soft but didn’t taste all that great, the macaroni salad I think was the best part of this meal along with the little container of hot sauce… Just ate here and second guessed myself on whether I should date to finish my lake fish and if my stomach will handle it… Wait. I’ve eaten out of a street cart run by gypsies and eat tacos in the street in Mexico City, but at least those had interesting stories attached with those meals. The fry on the fish here wasn’t that good, even though the fish itself was perfectly cooked… Honestly I rarely give anything less than a 3 stars but really, I can’t find anything about this place that would ever make me want to come back. I’m leaving it at two stars to be generous after all this is someone’s livelihood and no matter how much I don’t like it it seems to have some loyal patrons… So I guess that brings it to a justified 2 stars. Sorry Louisiana fish market… You kept me in Willowbrook CA and most certainly did not take me to Louisiana…

If you’re in the mood for some fish and shrimp, this is the place to go. You’ll want to call ahead as they do get crowded at times.

I’ve been going here for years. Fried fish is their specialty and no one does it better. They offer a wide variety of fish: Red Snapper, Fillet Sole, Cat Fillet, Cat Steak, Sand Dab, Whitting, Buffalo & Tilapia Fillet. They also fry Shrimps & Oysters. Here’s the rundown of my favorites: Cat Fillet — Catfish fillet, golden brown outside, fresh & moist inside. They simply dredge it in corn meal and some seasoning and fry it to perfection. You can’t go wrong getting this. A must order for me. Lunch Special«B» — 5 Oyster + 5 Medium Shrimp — I love fried oysters and if you’re looking for them, this is the place to get them. The shrimp are no slouch either. They just know how to fry things here. This is served with french fries. The sides, they offer the usual suspects; french fries, potato salad, macaroni salad, coleslaw, green salad, but the star is the the hush puppies. This delectable morsel of goodness is what I measure all other hush puppies by. Hard crunchy exterior, but soft & moist inside. For Lunch meals, you get 3 pcs of fish, bread & your choice of 1 side. For Dinner meals, you get 5 pcs of fish, bread & your choice of 2 sides. They used to give 2 slices of white bread, they changed it up to 1 dinner roll. The slice bread was better, the dinner rolls are dry, not very good. Service — very friendly and accomodating, but call ahead, pick up your food and enjoy. This is a small place. No tables inside, There is outdoor tables & chairs shared by the 4 or 5 business, But it’s best you just pick up. You’ll know what I mean when you see it. This place is not pretty, but the food is very good. I’ll definitely be back.
