They offer free health services including inoculations and screenings for TB and STDs. There are notices that there is a $ 15 fee but when I was recently there nobody was being charged. I came in for a flu shot but the nurse recommended that I also get the shots for shingles and for pneumonia. So I did. The shingles shot alone costs over $ 200 elsewhere and the three shots I was given could have cost at least $ 300 combined. If you go there, be aware that they have a schedule of dates and times for the different services they provide and the schedule changes frequently. Don’t depend on the info from their website. Be sure and call first to get the current schedule. The reason I don’t give 5 stars is because there was a long wait even though there were only a few people there for inoculations. First they give you a stack of paperwork to fill out. Then when you finish with it they manually enter it into their computer and make up a patient file before they send you to a nearby room where the shots are administered. That took an hour and 25 minutes. Then the nurse has to enter further documentation into the computer. So the whole process required almost 2 hours. And that was at a time when it was not busy.

Not the cleanest or most inviting health center I’ve been to, but they do TB tests free of charge. Check in at the window to the right, then you’ll be directed to whoever you need to see after. The staff is friendly and courteous. Be aware that they are open from 8:00am-10:00am and 12:30pm-3:00pm. If you go in during lunch you’re gonna be waiting a while. I went in at 12:30 for my initial appointment and 8:15 for the subsequent one. I think it’s safe to say you’ll get out a lot faster the earlier you go.
