So my friend and I went in to check for a specific product I told her about for her skin. They did not have it. Lady behind counter did not ask any questions so I asked her about exfoliating products they may have. She seemed reluctant to serve us. Lady showed us another product and tried on my hand. I spoke to my friend and she purchased for herself. She was also given a card with tiny samples of the product and the other two to use with it. I told sales lady I would like to try on my face — she said«next time» and would not give me a sample card! LOL — I just sold her product for her. Oh — we also just found the product on Amazon for $ 10 less!!! Unfortunately, the little store also has returns only for STORECREDIT. Yikes!

I took my GF here to pick up a few items. Its in the middle of little tokyo next to shabu shabu and café dulce. Its pretty small but they do have a few english speakers who were able to help us out. Their major brand is shiseido which is the reason we came here. No air conditioning inside so if its hot it might make trying make up a little hard. they do have a few things for men as well.

Ever since I discovered NYX Cosmetics, I have been thoroughly impressed by the quality for the price range. There is a cult following on YouTube demonstrating colors due to the lack of in-person counters. Look no more. Stumbled on this beauty supply store while showing a visitor around Little Tokyo. There is an entire wall of NYX cosmetics, almost everything has a demo for testing coloring and texture. For someone who spends very little time on her beauty routine, this is the most efficient way to try and stock up. The store is full of other items, from basics to the trendy. ¾ of the store doesn’t apply to me, but I am glad this place allows for the endless browsing when one is in the mood for some beauty fix.

as far as asian beauty stores go, this is one of the best, i think. they have a lot of hard-to-find brands and they have an incredible display of NYX products. the prices are about normal, so it’s not cheaper but at least it’s not overpriced. also, half the stores are other cute stationery, kitchen tools, etc. great place to hang around when you’re in little tokyo or waiting for a table at a restaurant!

I came here with some friends and I was looking for a particular brand of eye shadow from Japan. The cashier at the time was busy with a customer and went to the back to ask for more help. A lady with over bleached skin came out and gave us dirty looks. I was testing the sample palettes for some eyeshadows on my hand and she looked at me as if I was doing something terribly wrong. They ARETESTERS! When I asked her for some tissue to wipe it off, she replied with attitude, «EXCUUUUSEME!!!». So I asked for tissue AGAIN. She gave me a TINY piece(seriously 2×2 inches) and we left. This is ignorance at is worst. I’ve been to Japan and I’ve been to many of the shops in this area and never have I been treated this way. STAYAWAY! There are plenty of other make up stores close by!

My sister got me a bottle of Shiseido foundation from Japan. I liked it a lot and could not find it anywhere in LA. I went to this store hoping to find it. To my disappointment, they do not carry that particular line. I ended up getting something else and spent a lot more. The lady who worked there was very knowledgeable. She immediately noticed that my old foundation was wrong for me. It was making me too«yellow». And it was. My new foundation was an exact match to my original skin tone. When I got home, I washed my face and put on this new foundation. I love it!!! One of the best investment I have made(with quick return). All in all, to sum it up, I am broke, but am not too mad about it. Will probably go back if I need anytime from this brand again. And yes, they validate parking.

Located in Japanese Village Plaza, I passed by this place many times. I went there few weeks ago to get my face powder. The girl who helped me there was friendly. She was patient with me and helped finding what I was looking for. She put the tester on my face to help me find the right shade. They also gave me free gift with purchase. The only thing about this place that I didn’t like was the return/exchange policy. You can’t return the product. Exchange is fine if you don’t open the product. I did open my powder and the color was too dark for my skin =( Parking is easy here. you can park on the street or the parking structure. They do validate your parking.

Ever since I stayed with my friend’s sister for a weekend, I’ve been hooked on Shiseido products. As a result, I like coming by here to ogle and test new stuff, since it’s located in the Little Tokyo plaza and it’s nice to stop in on my way to sushi. The lady who works there in evenings is so pleasant and helpful. Added bonus? They validate parking for that garage!
