I have been to let it roll a few times now, mainly for its close convenience to where I work(1 Cal Plaza in Downtown Los Angeles). The menu is fairly extensive but the premise is essentially chipotle style customize as you go sushi and sushi bowls. They have quite the selection, with spicy tuna, salmon, and albacore ready to go. They also have a decent selection of typical vegetables and sauces to accompany sushi such as seaweed salad, avocado, salmon roe, spicy mayo, eel and soy sauce. I have had a few good meals at this location, but also a few that aren’t so great. The meals that haven’t been great have been so because of a noticeable lack of freshness. Certainly something not to be desired for any food establishment, but especially one where raw protein is involved. Hopefully Let it Roll can implement a new standard of freshness for their ingredients to ensure a high level of consistency.

Got a roll, since the name says they roll sushi. A lot of people seemed to be getting the bowl but it looked kinda plain. Making a roll was good, pick a fish, what goes in it and some sauce when you reach the cashier. I went for the salmon, and they have a variety of things you can put into it! Not a terrible place to get some food, for ~$ 10 you get a roll of your choice. Mango seems to be a popular item here, but they didn’t have any when I came here. Might try it again and see if its actually all the rage!

This place is honestly delicious. It would kill it in DC, where we have a ‘fast casual’ spot on every block!(Roti, Chopt, Protein bar). Ive now twice ordered a rice bowl. Its filling and cheap! You get choice of rice, choice of protein(I go with spicy salmon) and four topping(my choices have been avocado, cucumber, edamame, and tempura crunch). I have to stop myself from eating here everyday! Im definitely a fan!

Love the concept, hate the food. The quality is horrible :(. I got a salmon plate but it tasted slimy and fishy(I know, I know, but there was a rotten taste to it). Was it even sashimi grade fish?! There was also a bone in it. Bleh. Not worth the $ 10. Not even worth $ 5 to be honest.

Pretty good for a work lunch. This is like Chipotle-or-a-Subway type sushi place. You can either have a bowl or a roll. Costs about $ 10. Yellowtail costs a bit exra but no extra charge for brown rice. Service is pretty good.

If there were zero star, this place would earn zero star. I ordered the tuna salad. Half of the salad were rotten. So I changed to roman salad, and got half tuna, half avocado, and half everything with no empathy from the workers as though I paid full price for half the quantity. Never eat there again. Bad customer service as well.

Let’s Roll is a great lunch spot in DTLA. As others have said it’s the Subway/Chipotle of sushi! Love the concept. You pick your protein and rice, and then toppings. Everything you could want with your sushi-mango, bean sprouts, avocado, sesame seeds, edamame, etc. You can have a roll a bowl or even a salad. Your lunch is in your hands!:)

I absolutely love this place. Such awesome staff and food. I don’t understand pple talking about fast food sushi… all sushi is made upon request anywhere if its any good. Lets roll is pretty high quality sushi, so many options, crab, shrimp tempura, eel, tuna etc… Love coming here for lunch. Love the staff. Definitely worth the time

It’s the Subway sandwich model for sushi. You pick your application style(hand roll, rice, bowl, etc.), then you pick your protein, your veggies, and sauces/toppings. Fast and simple. About $ 10 will get you a single roll. Not bad for lunch/fast food sushi.

A solid lunch. You can choose between brown or white rice and they are both great. I can only review the bowl because I order it once a week consistently. Learned fact through other Unilocalers — you can order your protein as half and half(half spicy tuna, half salmon) or double it(pay more but get more). The avocado is usually always fresh. The seaweed salad is great. In and out of the door in 3 minutes flat.

Bowls and rolls now $ 9.99!(6÷25÷2014) I find this location is relatively generous with its serving size. My bowl of choice: — Half tuna, half spicy tuna — Avocado — Mango — Wasabi Sprouts — Edamame or Seaweed — Spicy Mayo — Jalapeño Ponzu They also have ginger, soy, and wasabi(watery kind) which you can grab on the side. Overall, it’s a relatively filling lunch with fish that doesn’t have any off-taste. Employees are cheerful. Although it gets busy during primetime lunch hour it moves pretty quickly but I prefer to go during the off hours since I don’t make choices quickly.

I was doing some temp work in the Wells Fargo building and came across this unique sushi spot in the ground level dining courtyard. TWOAMAZINGPROS: — Great Price Point for a pretty filling lunch — They don’t FREEZE their fish! Basically, 1st you choose from: — salad — bowl — plate — roll Choose either brown or white rice; up to 4 toppings; one sauce(but they’ll give you more if you ask nicely) I got a spicy salmon roll with cucumber, avocado, radish sprouts & seaweed salad and it was delicious! It costed me about $ 8.50 after tax :) I can’t believe they charge so little for pretty fresh fish! Definitely recommend it if you work in the area and want to grab a quick lunch for a good deal…

Yep, definitely the«Sushi» of Chipotle and Subway. Let’s Roll Sushi has more than just rolls. You get to choose from plates, bowls, salads, and rolls. They have quite a variety of toppings. Here’s how it works: You get in line and say what you want: salad(romaine or mixed greens), bowl(white or brown rice), plate(sashimi with rice and sauce), or a roll(white or brown rice). Pick your protein. They have chicken(cheap option) and a variety of fish(regular option), and a couple more expensive options. Then you pick 4 toppings(additional toppings after the 4 cost extra). Some examples are shredded carrots, avocado, seaweed salad, mango, green onion, tempura, cream cheese, etc. Pick a sauce(miso, jalapeño, ponzu, etc.), if applicable. They package, you pay, blah blah blah. Although the fish may taste more fishy than typical Japanese joints, I am giving this place more than a few stars because the staff answered any questions I had with ease(as they should), the concept of the place, and well… seaweed salad! I love seaweed salad! They also have some«suggested» options, so if you have no idea what to put in your roll and such, at least there’s that. There aren’t that many though, so get creative. :)

Cool concept, fresh, healthy ingredients. You’re on your own in devising the sushi roll of your dreams — some of my creations have been hit or miss but that’s on me, not the restaurant. For a healthy lunch, I recommend a salad bowl with tons of veggies and some sashimi and seaweed salad on top. For a less healthy lunch, get a roll with tempura shrimp and covered in spicy mayo. Everything hovers at around $ 10. Also, this is random, but they have a wide selection of Teas Teas, which I freaking love. Overall, a good lunch option in the Wells Fargo Bank complex.

Sushi bowl is just perfect… A great fast food sushi joint. Depends who you get to wait on you will base your decision of your experience. Some people cheap out on the portions while others exceed them.

I actually like this place a lot. It’s like of like Subway, but with sushi. They kind of just build your order in an assembly line. I’ve tried a salad and a bowl, both with the raw salmon, which tastes fresh. You can get white or brown rice, and the salad is actually pretty huge! Get your salad with pea shoots! Prices are actually pretty reasonable… ~$ 8 for a salad or bowl. Considering what other places around here cost and the quality of the food, I will definitely keep coming here periodically.

This place has an interesting concept I never dreamed imaginable, especially since ordering sushi rolls at restaurants always results in a wait. You can make a sushi roll, bowl, or salad by choosing your own ingredients and it’s assembled similar to Chipotle. I chose shrimp tempura as my protein. I will never ever again choose shrimp tempura. I ended up getting 3 thin pieces of shrimp. Turns out they use little baby shrimp! The bowl is cool, but it comes with a ton of rice. Although, the rice is sooo delicious, even if it’s eaten by itself! I’ll be ordering a roll the next time I come in. You’ll find the restaurant in the Wells Fargo building. Walk past CPK. It’ll be on your right hand side, across from McDonald’s.

Thank you, Denis S., for this awesome find! One visit and I’m hooked! I had a bowl(and I will have many, many more) with white sushi rice, salmon, cucumber, seaweed, edemame, radish sprouts, sesame seeds, and their awesome spicy mayo sauce. SOGOOD! I love the convenient little cups of wasabi(yes, paste wasabi, but hey, this place is cheap) and ginger that are right by the register so you don’t have to ask for it. Huge fan! Highly recommend!

If you’re looking for a quick and healthy lunch, you can’t go wrong here. If you do go wrong, it’s your fault, since you pick your ingredients. I’ve been twice in a week(which is rare for me) and am now addicted to their rice bowl. Everything is fresh: fish, rice and vegetables. The price is ok, pretty much what you’d expect. It’s not gourmet or anything, but it really hits the spot around lunchtime.
