This place is closed and it looks like it is permanent. Windows are all covered up too… bummed. The Mar Vista farmers market has a great crêpe stand though!

Came here on a Saturday to meet up with a friend for a late brunch. The place wasn’t crowded at all, and we got seats immediately. The restaurant itself is very small and quaint. I ordered the Complete Savory Crêpe with Jambon de Paris, Egg Sunny Side Up, and Gruyère. The crêpe came out differently than I imagined, but it was nicely made with a side of salad. The combination of the runny egg yolk with the gruyère cheese and ham wrapped inside a thin crêpe was delicious! I also ordered a 2-cup French press coffee, which was nice and strong. Service was good. The staff was friendly and attentive. There were several metered spots right in front of the restaurant. There is also plenty of street parking on the residential streets. Overall, I enjoyed my brunch here. The food was tasty and service was quick. The only bad thing I noticed was that there were a bunch of large flies around us – not sure what’s attracting them. I wouldn’t mind coming back again to try out other dishes – sans flies.

I had an omelet and a crêpe. Although the food was tasty, you can’t modify your order or ask for some ketchup or hot sauce as this will alter the French food. Although I love French fare and have been to Paris a couple of times, I was not impressed. The portions are small and pricey in addition to not being very filing and I am sure this would be called«the French way». Also when I gave the waiter my credit card to pay the bill, I was told the credit card machine was broke and they were only taking cash. I inquired as to why was I not informed of this prior to my order as I typically don’t carry cash. Thank god that between myself and my friend who I was dining with we had enough cash! I won’t be back!

CASHONLYCASHONLYCASHONLY Me and the table next to us were not told intel the check came that it was cash only, big mistake! It’s too bad this place used to be good I believe its under new ownership. normally they had french waiters serving you with very quiet french music. now they just have UNTRAINED waiters serving you, with stupid music that’s too load. This is the kicker they don’t accept credit cards, cash only and they don’t tell you until the end! The problem is they did not handle the situation right, and I had to walk 2 blocks to the nearest atm which is retarded. they just lost a customer

I was super excited to try this place because of all the great reviews it got. Cute place but Never got asked for food, drinks, or even served water! Instead we were told to wait after already waiting patiently for 10 minutes. Worst service ever.

This place had many things that deserved this poor rating. Although there were a few tasty dishes… the cons outweigh the pros. Overall, I would not come here again. CONS: — For the wait we were told 20 minutes but these was no list to keep track of names. — The«fresh squeezed» lemonade was basically lemon juice over ice. I love all variations of lemonade and this was undrinkable. Even with the addition of sugar cubes… bleh! — Blood orange iced tea was gross. — The salmon epinard crêpe was mostly spinach, it was not flavorful or savory. — The French Toast le Banane had some black licorice herb sprinkled all over it that was not mentioned in the description. — They forgot to put in the order for our dessert crêpe. We had to remind them. — Forgot to bring milk for the coffee. — No iced coffee. PROS: — Nutella with Strawberry Crêpe was delicious. — French Toast was yummy with the exception of that black licorice herb. — Comfy chairs. — Side salad tasted nice with a perfect amount of light dressing.

Checked this place out because of Unilocal and Unilocal does not lie :) This place is a cute little compact French restaurant in Mar Vista. I love how they have such comfy chairs and the kitchen is right in front of you. The food is delicious and extremely satisfying. This place makes me want to keep going back so I can try everything on the menu. This will be one of my go to brunch spots :)

I am sorry that I didn’t discover this place sooner! A short walk from where we live, this place is a hidden gem. Small, well-decorated, and with a menu that keeps it simple and focused, the quality of the food is fantastic. The open kitchen, with minimal ‘stuff’ is a plus, always makes me feel more comfortable with what I’m eating. Everything I’ve had on their menu is simply fantastic. The crêpe batter that they use is so unique(in a great way). Only reason it’s not 5 stars is the lack of a beer & wine permit. I’d like to be able to have a glass with my meal, and was also told that I can NOT bring in my own… which strikes me as odd, or incorrect. Nonetheless, I’ll be back, time and time again.

On their menu: «We respectfully decline menu alterations.» I had a craving this morning for a crêpe with veggies and a protein, like sausage, but I might have settle for just egg. I wasn’t in the mood for chicken or salmon. What I really wanted was the Provençale with sausage or egg added. Well, they won’t make alterations. They don’t want your business. So I walked out and went to the crêpe place at the Mar Vista Sunday Farmer’s Market and got a delicious crêpe with everything I wanted in it. The crêpe place at the Farmer’s Market will add or delete anything in any of their crepes, they are cheaper, and they use fresh ingredients. They want your business, they are customer friendly. I guess La Petite Creperie thinks it’s better to have a snotty French attitude, not cater to the customers, and lose business in this economy. Hey to each its own — a business can do what they like. You just won’t get any of my business… ever. And it’s sad because we come to this Farmer’s Market almost every Sunday, and live in the area. But I prefer restaurants like Curious Palate(right down the street on Venice), Green Peas, and Novel Café, all of which have great customer service, delicious food, and they cater to their customers with alterations to the menu.

Amazing. Immediately wanted to go back to try more! Jambon Fumé et Feta(Olive Tapenade, Baby Artichokes, Proscuitto, Feta Cheese) DO it. Perfect portions as well, no heaviness or sleepiness afterwards!(Although you may get hungry 3 – 4 hours later)

This place is so cute and homey! My friend and I Unilocaled a brunch place nearby on a Saturday morning and headed over to La Petite Creperie around 11:00AM. We found metered parking right outside and there was still 1 hour left on it! Walked inside and were seated right away. My friend ordered the Saucisse et Oeuf crêpe — Brittan sausage, gruyère and sunny side up egg. I had a bite of the sausage — nice and peppery. I had the Saumon Epinards — smoked salmon, spinach and sunny side up egg. This was DELICIOUS! The salmon was in every bite of crêpe I had, even in the little corners! We also ordered the organic loose leaf tea and got the chamomile — it’s served in a French press. The place is small — only 8 tables inside and two small tables outside. Only 3 people working that day — the server, chef, and someone in the back washing the dishes so service can be kind of slow — the food comes out pretty quick though! It’s just kind of slow when you want to pay if everyone else is trying to pay as well. They don’t take American Express, FYI.

Pros: — the place is super cute(it’s easy to get lost in your lover’s eyes and forget that Venice Blvd is just several yards away) — friendly servers Cons: — crepes were just ok… don’t know if it’s that I don’t like French crepes or savory crepes or buckwheat crepes, but I got the«complete» crêpe(ham, egg, cheese) and was underwhelmed. If I come back next time I’ll try a sweet one. — a little pricey

so cute and cozy with great brunch and yummy tea. The french toast was made well and the berry compote tasty. The food is good and the place is great to sit, relax, dine, and enjoy an afternoon conversation. Oh, the tea was served loose leaf in a french press, which was nice.

The bad: If you are vegetarian and /or vegan looking for a savory crêpe don’t bother as they don’t do substitutions«at all». I’m veg and I hate mushrooms. Most of the options had mushrooms and so I was left ordering an onion crêpe. Just onions, cheese and crêpe… not my ideal choice but it did taste alright. The good: I’m sure if you eat meat, this place is awesome. I’ll come back for a sweet crêpe some day.

I was looking for St. Bede’s Episcopal Church for a craft meetup and turned the wrong way.(I was thinking 3890, when I should have been thinking 3590… ahhh, what a difference one number can make!) It was fate. As soon as I saw La Petite Crêperie, I went in. I was seated very quickly, being a party of 1(sniff sniff… haha, not really). Being way past lunch time and all, I was super hungry and ordered the Montagnarde with an Orangina(really, what else would I get in a French crêperie?!) and it was heaven. No lie. I think I saw stars. It also came with a small side salad with a sherry vinaigrette. I’m so glad I stumbled upon this little place by accident… and I’m looking forward to trying some of their sweet crepes, too!

This place is absolutely adorable and perfect for a lazy Saturday morning(the farmers market is on Sundays so things can get crazy). The guys working there are oh so very French which makes the whole experience just awesome. I spent the longest time debating whether to get a sweet crêpe or a savory one, but fearing that a savory crêpe would fill me up too much to enjoy a second one for dessert, I went sweet. Nutella banane for MM and nutella fraises for moi! And an order of their French pressed coffee, which is delicious, fresh, and HUGE. The smallest one will serve more than two full cups. The sugar comes in cubes stacked in a cute little mini Le Creuset-like dutch oven. Love all the little touches like this, the vases of flowers on each table, and the woven kitchen towels used as napkins here. The crêpe was wonderful — thin, just a bit chewy, crispy on the edges without burning, and with generous helpings of fruit and nutella. Yum! It really hit the spot. Those tempting savory crepes are calling to me so I must return to try one or two or all of them! Can’t wait for our next visit! UPDATE: I finally resisted the nutella that usually calls out to me and went with the crêpe champignons — button, portabello, and oyster mushrooms sauteed in butter(the French way!) and served in a wheat crêpe with melted gruyère. Paired with an iced americano, it’s a perfectly wonderful and decadent way to start your day on the weekend. So delicious!

La Petite Creperie is a classy local crêpe place in a petite kind of way. Most importantly, take note of the fact they are closed on Mondays & Tuesdays, offer brunch all other days, and only have dinner on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Is it worth a visit and adjusting your schedule to fit theirs? Oui. The crepes at La Petite Creperie are indeed both savory and sweet as advertised. From the savory choices we tried the Complete with Jambon(Ham) de Paris, Egg Sunny Side Up, and Gruyère Cheese. It sounds like a greasy calorie overload, but it wasn’t. Yum. To sweeten things up, we split a Nutella & Fraises(Nutella and Fresh Strawberries) Crêpe. Nutella is one of my classic favorite flavors of crepes and this didn’t disappoint. Fresh Orange Juice completed our brunch. The décor was darker and more rustic than I expected. The service was bright and cheery. Meter parking on the street in front worked out ok. If you live in Mar Vista or Venice, I recommend La Petite Creperie as a cool alternative brunch spot just off the beaten path. 3.5 stars

La Petite Creperie is another dainty little neighborhood establishment that makes me thankful I live in the west side. I’ve been wanting to try this place ever since I started going to the Mar Vista Farmers Market, which is on the same street. Finally had an opportunity to grab Sunday brunch recently. Being the mushroom fiend that I am, I ordered the«Champignons, Fromage» [Portobello, Oyster Mushroom, Gruyère, Garlic and Shallots] savory crêpe. I have to admit, I was a little surprised when the dish arrived because the actual crêpe was browned. My guess is that it’s whole wheat? In any case, that didn’t take away from the flavor of the dish. The mushrooms were abundant, but the cheese didn’t really pop out for me. Perhaps because there wasn’t a whole lot of gruyère in it? I had to ask for salt to season the crêpe. The bf ordered the«Nicoise» [Olive Tapenade, Baby Artichokes, Proscuitto, Feta Cheese] and thoroughly enjoyed it. He particularly loved the prosciutto. The service was very personable. The restaurant owner made it a point to check in with every table(the place is tiny) and ensured that everyone’s food was good. He also makes homemade jam, which are sold in-store. My nosy self couldn’t help but ask about the various flavors; their packaging was too cute to ignore. He was nice enough to bring out a sample of the white peach & cardamom jam. Tried it, loved it, so I purchased a jar for $ 8. It’s not too sweet and you can tell that the peaches used were fresh(hel-lo, Farmer’s Market is just outside!). Went home and served it with cheese — delish. Tried it with olive oil crackers — yumsters. And tonight, had it with plain ol’ vanilla ice cream — heaven! It’s too bad a tiny jar costs $ 8! Anyway, I hope to come back to this place for dinner some time soon.

Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day, whether it’s dim sum or eggs, bacon and toast or pancakes or phở or crepes! This small creperie in Mar Vista has been open since June. There’s seating for 25 inside and a couple of tables outside. I liked the space a lot. Stone flooring, wooden tables sitting on an iron base and super-comfortable high back chairs. On each table is a potted plant and a small crock dish with sugar cubes. Adding to the rustic feel are a colorful array of cloth napkins and Laguiole knives. Even the water is room temperature. The menu has an assortment of galettes(savory crepes made from buckwheat flour; $ 7-$ 12), sweet crepes(made from wheat flour; $ 5.75-$ 8.75), omelettes, french toast and of course, coffee. I guess I don’t often have crepes because they tend to be smaller than other breakfast options. That being said I did have two, plus a cappuccino: * JAMBON, OEUF&FROMAGEGALETTE($ 9.25) — Jambon de Paris with gruyère and a sunny side-up egg. It was delicious and came with a small side salad. But alas it was not filling, so I added a sweet crêpe for dessert. * NUTELLA&BANANACREPE($ 7.50) — Classic. The crêpe was slightly doughy, but how can you not love Nutella and bananas? The co-owner was pleasant. She indicated that they are not planning on doing any marketing per se as she believes that too many patrons will ultimately mean a diminished product. I hope that’s the right decision. So for now look for the orange awnings because the only signage is on the window and not terribly visible.
