This place is a small hole in the wall but it’s really good. It’s a must try. You might want to order in advance because the get really busy. Service is pretty good and fast. Parking is convenient.

The wait is worth it, small small place but when you come in they make you feel like your at your grandmas kitchen, it’s loud and you can see the cooks making the pupusas, One hour parking on the street or park on the side lot for free

This has been the slowest service ever! She didn’t take our order right and we are almost done with our food and my dad is barely getting his food. The food is good, service is terrible!!!

Been here several times w/my mom and I’ve tried several of their dishes from breakfast, soups and pupusas… No complaints on any of them as of yet! Great service to go along with their awesome food. Now as far as location and it being small… all true. But again can’t go wrong with the food!

Really good Salvadoran food and it’s really cheap. They have the best salvi food in LA. I like their breakfast and pupusas. Their service is always friendly and they remember you. They value their customers and do anything to keep customers happy. I come all the time(once a week).

Really tasty and affordable Salvadoran food, and extremely welcoming and friendly service. I had a set of three pupusas here that we’re truly fantastic. The place is busy and thriving with business from locals. I’ll definitely be back!

Great Pupusas. Only thing is the inside of the place is a bit small, nothing pretty to look at. I just stopped by here after a day at the museums nearby.

Alicia R. South of of USC. This salvadorian restaurant satisfies my finicky tastes in international cuisine. They are not that well known outside the Latino community. Their pususas rival all others including mexican gorditas. I love smothering them with the salsa they serve in a jug along with pickled coleslaw garnish that can be added. The fried yucca with fried pork is my new fish and chips type of of pairing. Their grilled meats are well seasoned. Their fried food is not greasy. They take catering size orders and deliver. The noisiness is the cook in the background prepping food, the jukebox playing latin music, tv showing univision with the traffic on vernon passing by. Go for the food!

I’m going to go with an even three stars. I was going out on the whim trying this place(desperate for an amazing tamale). I was unaware that a Mexican tamale and a Salvadorian tamale were(in my opinion) drastically different. So this wasn’t for me but hey, Im from SoCal so I’m practically a Mexican. I probably won’t be inspired to eat here again unless I’m being treated. Or with a Salvadorian who knows what’s a for sure delish dish.

there’s no street parking 4−7PM so park in the lot 2 stores west of restaurant. I was greeted with a smile at the door and ordered to go –perfect English from the waitress so no worries about that, and got a $ 2 pupusa(revuelta) and a $ 2 tamale(chicken). My pupusa was made to order so I sat and waited for 10 min. Spanish soap opera on the TV was a good time passer. Pupusa was giant and cheesy, good mix of beans, meat, and special cheese that oozed out a little and was slightly charred(just the way I like it :) Tamale was«salvadorean style» which i had never had before, it was 50% bigger than any mexican tamale and a lot wetter, not water… just slippery lol. lots of sauce, chicken had good flavor but i just couldnt get used to the texture of it all. food isn’t bad, service is good, but I think I can find better pupusas in the area

Love the pupusas there especially the beans and cheese. They are so good that the cheese comes out of the pupusas and is cheesy. If you can eat there, the food would taste way better cuz is hot. The only problem is that sometimes is pack. I usally call ahead to order by phone. Parking sometimes sucks too. But for pupusas is worth it when you are near by.

Oh my favorite little Salvadorian spot! It’s really small but the people there are great. They have the best pupusas, you guys! I could go there everyday if I was able to eat all that cheese. HAHA!

I love this place! They have authentic Salvadorean food. The one dish Salvis are famous for is pupusas and this place makes some of the best pupusas I have ever tasted! Also, I love their tamales! I love the staff. What keeps me a loyal customer is their customer service!

To me, this was really one of those ‘hidden’ restaurants. Having never ventured farther West than Taco Bell, finding this extremely bustling restaurant with its warm environment of hungry people and the savory aroma of oil, meats and dough was a welcomed surprised on Sunday morning. Walking in with very no expectations, along with no idea of what exactly a pupusa was, I ordered the pupusa revuelta — a well oiled flat-bread, tortilla dish filled with generous servings of cheese, grounded pork and beans. The pupusa itself was an interesting dish that consisted of the chef hand-rolling out the corn dough and mixing it with the meat and beans and pan-frying with a lot of oil. The oil, I suspect, is what released the delicious flavors that came with each bite of the pupusa. The oozing of the warm oil, thick tortilla and meats was a gastronomical new experience for me. I think I would definitely go back and try another flavor — next time: Chicharrón.
