Stopped by for a bionico. Glad I did! The small was way too much for me. It was delicious. They also sell tortas. Will definitely come back

Been coming here for years and always a great ambient and fantastic food. Really good tortas and aguas frescas. Definitely try the agua de fresa, that is my favorite. The fruit is also always fresh. This place is always maintained clean even the restroom.

I really like their veggie torta, even though it’s not much. Just lettuce, tomatoes, avocado, onion. But their bread is really good. I really love all their smoothies, but my favorite is the tropicana. The workers are also super friendly, and even though I don’t go in often anymore, they still remember my order.

My boyfriend has been coming here since he was a kid. He loves their tortas, and so do I, don’t get me wrong. He usually goes for the Mexicana or Hawaiiana tortas; my only problem is that I sadly can never finish them, they’re so filling! And I hate saving a torta for later because it gets so soggy after awhile. I’ve now become a frequent buyer of their quesadillas, which are just as delicious as the tortas. Aquas frescas are pretty bombskies(because they’ll remove my review of I say .b) especially the banana or coconut ones :)

Best Stop For A Quick Inexpensive Lunch in East L.A. SITREP I train our new staff at the regional office nearby on Corporate Center drive, so this is an excellent close by location, not more than a 5 minute drive. I actually try to make stop here at least once a week when I’m down in L.A., cause it is that good. THESETUP Some would say the vibe is totally that of a hole-in-the-wall, and that’s okay. I like places that are unpretentious, but focused on doing well what we all come there for: THEFOOD. I pulled the trigger on a Spicy Chicken Torta that came with cheese and was only $ 4.50, was very filling, and was VERY tasty. Now that is a trifecta of positives that I call a winning combo. THELOWDOWN Any day I can capture a great lunch for under $ 5(that is NOT Taco Bell or McDonalds), I call that a WIN. So La Farfala is DEFINITELY a «win»! I will be back… again and again!

I’m so disappointed that I didn’t get to find out about this place sooner. There’s plenty of parking, it’s a bit small but it’s nice air conditioned. I ordered the choriqueso which was just too delicious to handle. I devoured it! And I got a energy smoothie, and that was equally delicious. Im definitely going to come back, and try their other tortas and smoothies.

Had a ham & cheese torta and was really tasty! All the ingredients were fresh and bread was toasted to perfection! I will definitely stop in again when I’m back in the neighborhood.

I tried the torta the first time, and it was great(still like the ones I had in Mexico better though), but it was the friendliness of the staff and the price that got me back! Had the berry smoothie today, so delicious! But I like my friend’s strawberry smoothie even better, less sweet and taste authentic! Since I work close by I’ll definitely come back often!(Note: the wild berry smoothie has a coconut taste, and the peanut butter banana has cinnamon, but just the right amount!)

Agua fresca is made to order. I tried strawberry and it was delicious. $ 2.75 and I believe it was 24oz. Torta Mexicana: breaded chicken slices, chorizo, ham, and cheese. It was good but next time I’ll try one with just one meat, too many flavors. Very clean cozy place. Perfect for a low budget meal. under $ 10. Friendly people running this place.

I had the Hawaiian torta and let me tell you it was the best i had not heavey at all. Also ask for the cucumber and lemon agua fresca that is not on the menu but is outstanding. 5 stars for me. Come try it friends and fam.

The Cubana and choriqueso torta are delicious! I’ve been here a couple of times and the food and drinks are always fresh and made to order. The shop is cute and has a cool vibe. They have some magazines to read, which I always do when I’m having lunch by myself. The staff is really kind and I have yet to have a bad experience here. I highly recommend you try their horchata!

Small little place but it packs GOOD food, offering hot drinks, ice blended coffees, aguas frescas, shakes or smoothies along with tortas salads and hot dogs, this place was introduced to me by my friend Chris P. credit cards accepted, no bills bigger than $ 20. decent side parking lot. With one unisex bathroom fpr all. family operated place here… drinks start at $ 1.50 to $ 4.50. while the tortas start at $ 3.99 to $ 4.50 depending on what you want… enjoy.

Tiny store front but the inside seating area and the back picnic table were pretty sizable. We were looking for a quick bite and this place was perfect. We ordered a cuban sandwich and a side of fresh mangoes. I wanted something fresh — the lady who helped me asked if i wanted lime and chili pepper with it. I thought??? and she read my mind and told me that it is really good and that i should try it. So, I did. and i LOVED it. OHMY… I am now in love with lime and chili pepper combination. New to califonria, i had never had this or heard of this custom — she said many mexican dishes simply have lime and chili pepper. Yes, thank you! I now eat cucumbers that way and has become my favorite snack.

I wish this restaurant wasn’t just listed as «Coffee & Tea». They are an amazing torta restaurant and I want the whole world to know about them! I am a teacher working at a new charter school in East LA, and my principal actually sent us here as a part of a scavenger hunt to help us get to know the area. I’m so glad she did. The tortas here are out of this world! Everything about the tortas is delicious, but the best part is the chipotle sauce. Their juices and fresh fruit are also both wonderful. When my boyfriend and I go, we order a LOT of food. We usually both order a torta and a mango juice, plus we usually get strawberries & crème or mango pieces to go for later. The older couple who seem to own this place are so wonderful! The older lady, especially, is so sweet and welcoming. Yes, the food here can take a little while to prepare, but it never bothered either of us as you can tell everything is made fresh. I highly recommend this place. Unilocal, please change the listing to reflect that it is also a restaurant!
