Sorry I forget the chef and owners name but they are the best! Service incredible ! Food incredible and so fresh so good, I’d eat there everyday! LOVEIT!!! Can’t go to the crazy orange taco truck up the street from them, it will get you sick but this truck will make feel like your on cloud 9 with a full stomach! Will be back… Maybe tomorrow!

If you want authentic tacos this is the corner window for you. Al pastor was great. It’s super sketch but it’s food is worth the wait. They can be very slow with the order. I call ahead. They don’t have drinks or a dining area so basically you have to go get a drink at the expensive liquor store next door or run across to 7 – 11. I prefer La Chuperia right down the street

The food is great and prices are very reasonable. Only thing that is almost a deal breaker for me is that there is no condiment bar. Almost all tacos trucks in LA have a condiment bar with radishes, cucumbers, cilantro, pico de gallo, salsa, etc. I asked for radishes and cucumbers and the cashier said they don’t offer any condiments because its too expensive. Then how does every other taco truck in LA do it? I’m stickin to el flamim taco truck in ktown.

Taco window in East LA serving up some mean tacos. The al pastor(marinated pork) were recommended to me, and they were excellent. Warm double corn tortillas, spicy red sauce, and tasty marinated pork, no gristle. Not many tables and all outside(all the better to enjoy your tacos under the stars after a 93 degree day) but they also have a cute little nook under the overhang with one table that looks cozy if you get lucky enough to grab it. Recommended.

Since I’m always in a hurry this is the spot BUT order online! I usually order about 30 min before I get there run down and ask at the pick up window, never had a problem. My FAV Is the al pastor burrito. Customer Service is meh.

This place has good food, but SLOWAF. No organization, team behind the counter visibly arguing and poor customer service. And they got my simple order wrong. It’s not rocket science people. Don’t come here if you’re in a hurry. Or call/app in advance!!!

Great shrimp tacos and best Tortas. Also for those nacho fries fans there isn’t a better place around here than la Estrella for nacho fries

Food is fairly good most of the time, today’s experience in waiting for my all meat burrito was most unpleasant not because of the wait but bcs of the person behind the counters attitude. Her response was not apologetic but very nonchalant almost matter of fact like in waiting 15mins for a burrito. They also messed up my order one other time without any real sincere apology so I will stop coming to this place.

Good spot. Great tacos, especially the fish tacos. Lines can be pretty bad though. It may look like a hole in the wall(it is), but the food quality is great. Outside seating and street parking. Good luck with the lines.

Cheap, delicious, and authentic. What’s more to ask for? Can take a while, especially if there’s a line but so worth it. You can order ahead online and pick it up at your convenience. They take credit card with $ 0.70 change. The extra charge is also avoidable when ordering online. Plenty of street parking in the residential area next door. They recently added burrito bowls which are so amazing but I still eat their fish burritos when I feel like treating myself.

Seriously best chicken burrito in town. The burritos and tacos beat El Taurino/King taco any day. Price is reasonable and they serve chips for free upon request. Try dipping the chips into their red or green sauce and it’s fire. The ONLY downfall is that they take FOREVER and I mean FOREVER on the orders. I’ll come during lunch hours because my work is conveniently up the street but even when I place a phone order it takes FOREVER. The longest I ever waited was over 30 minutes. Why did I wait that long? Because that damn chicken burrito is so worth it …

Food is Delicious!!! 5 Stars. Service by Cashier(music note tattoo on hand) not so great. Attitude from the get go, like if she is bother by taking orders… Estrella she is your gate keeper… bad attitude from initial conversation equals less orders coming in for your great delicious food.

Love this place for their shrimp burrito, really dislike the bad attitude female worker who wanted to charge us extra for extra green sauce. 3 tiny tubs of sauce for 2 shrimp burritos and 1 quesadilla is not enough. The male worker never ever charged us for extra green sauce before and he was super nice. This lady was just lazy and a biatchhhhh and she didn’t give us lemon when we asked for it. Somebody needs to get fired!

Awesome place love coming by when at the skate park. Estrella fries always hit the spot with salsa rojo. They were $ 4 flat but don’t mind paying the new 60 cent boost.

I’m walking distance from work to Estrella. Most if the time I get two tostadas de camarón. The shrimp is fresh and the ingredients are tasty. I have also tried their tacos de camarón and tacos de pescado and they are very good. I like the crema and the house hot salsa they pour on them. Overall, it’s good joint! Peep it. PS– the dude taking your order has a big Chivas tattoo, plus for me not so much for Americanistas

Had the shrimp taco and fish taco — both were perfectly fried and super fresh! Also appreciated that they don’t have a card minimum(though they do charge you an extra 70 cents)

Love their cheap but super flavorful ceviche. One of the few places in the area you can get some good fish tacos. Rest of the food looks awesome too. Really good grilled chicken tacos as well. Wait times can be a little long but they’re got a few nice outdoor seats and the wait is worth it. Plus you can walk over to the park and eat your tacos with some ducks! Awesome!

I’m always looking for good quick bites while I’m running around town. This is place it’s super easy to get to, economical and oh so delicious! I only wish they had a little outside salsa bar. Get the Al Pastor burrito and you’ll be glad you did!

The menus is simple. +/-10 items with several varieties of protein. Great place for LA style Mexican food. No bullshit burgers or sandwiches. I was craving tacos so I Unilocaled this place. Makes sense why it has 4 stars, the food and service is great. I ordered the Asada Tacos and an Asada quesadilla. Didn’t finish it all but kinda happy that I have left overs for later.

This is a small taco shop off the grid. I was determined to find some carne asada fries like I’ve had in the 626. The place is not in the best neighborhood and is off the main street. Seemed like a lot of locals come here. You order at one window and pickup at another window. Price was decent, food wise was overall okay. Carne Asada Fries — ehh… not bad but just didn’t hit the spot that I was looking for. Tacos — not bad Overall, nothing to complain per say, but don’t think I’ll be back
