Mesquite-grilled carne asada topped with killer pinto beans. Don Jorge is a man who is proud of the quality of food he serves to the people. That is all you need to know. Try the habanero salsa… or don’t. Do what you want.

Jorge’s tacos are absolutely one of the best places for street Mexican food in Los Angeles. They literally cook the meat on the barbecue grill and the ingredients they use are fresh. I got the torta cubana, and I can’t explain with words the deliciousness of this item. If you know what’s good for you, come to Jorge’s tacos. They close at 3 am on the weekend.

I have been coming here since they opened and they used to be the best tequero in East LA. Then they upgraded to a truck and everything went downhill. First off, the guy who hands out the food is a real jerk. If you ask for extra hot sauce he gets attitude and very mad. He will also purposely make you wait if you ask for something(extra hot sauce) after he hands you your food. I even offer to pay, that also doesn’t work. I thought it was a one time thing, but after several visits the results are the same. Carne does not taste as fresh as it used to and they take way too long to get your order. The actually they take more than twice as long as before the upgrade. My last visit they forgot my tacos completely, I didn’t notice until I got home & I wasn’t about to drive threw traffic to get them. Jorge is always very nice, unfortunately he no longer personally delivers the food & pays no attention to the jerk who does.

Este cameon de comida es un «mas o menos». I think it’s ok. Given that the food is coming out of a truck, It seemed a bit expensive for what you get. I don’t see any real value here. I was about to pay the lady, and this guy came running up to me to pat me on the back. I thought I was getting mugged. Everything turned out to be fine in the end. He didn’t introduce himself but I think it’s might have been Jorge. The breakfast burrito is different to what you would usually expect. Very protein focused. Ham, sausage, and scrambled egg. Interesting to try, but I don’t think I will be back, ya lo siento guey!
