Rating: 5 Stars! Location/Parking: Located in the Art District! Full of lovely hipsters! Lot is a bit small, but there is plenty of street parking. Service: They provide all the necessities for companies… ie: free coffee, conference rooms, kitchen and many other accomedies. Venue: Great place to rent out office space if you are starting up a business. The company occupies two floors and they offer classes at night. They also offer free events also Experience: Recently, I went to a a startup tech community meetup and it was a amazing experience. They provided free refreshments and who doesn’t love free stuff! It was a great place to share ideas with fellow professionals that want to startup a business or take in advice from others and feel inspired. Would love to join this community some time down the road!

I love the Hub LA! It’s a really open, bright workspace in a great location, with all the amenities of a typical office — conference rooms, printer, kitchen, etc. My small company rents a small office space, which is perfect for our needs. But the best part really is the people. The team at the Hub LA have worked really hard to curate an amazing community of people with aspirations to create positive change. They do a great job of putting on events to bring people together, and making introductions between members that have things in common and might be able to collaborate. In the 8 months we’ve been there I’ve met a ton of really bright, driven people, and I’ve also worked directly with a few members on business development efforts and client projects. Such a rare find in Los Angeles!

I’ve been a member since March of last year and have nothing but great things to say about my Hub LA experience. It’s way more than a place to work, internet access, and coffee(really amazing coffee) — it’s a living, breathing community run by great people doing great things.

I’ve yet to engage in a conversation with anyone in the building that hasn’t led to a beneficial work connection or at the least an impressive linkedin connection. Trust me, you never know when that random connection will help intro you to someone down the line. I joined a few months ago and finally feel like I’ve found a place in Los Angeles where people care about things and are actually doing something about it. I’m the only staff member at my organization and its been huge having this super productive and supportive place to come. Tons of events throughout the week intentionally designed for members to meet and collaborate. I just love the hub so much.

I had the pleasure of getting a tour of the HUB from Ann and Elizabeth during their open house this past weekend. It’s a very impressive place with a mission that synthesizes so much of what folks in the social responsibility space seem to need: room to work, excellent panels/talks/programming, think-tanky vibe, and a positive but serious-minded dedication to getting things done. The HUB’s Downtown location is, in my opinion, a smart choice in that more westerly locations in LA seem to be saturated with… stuff. Especially startup-oriented stuff. A truly standout player like the HUB has room to grow in a very cool, progressive, artistic part of town that has much to give in the way of community and grassroots support. The HUB’s physical space, of course, is a beautiful loft, the likes of which you’re just not going to find anywhere else in LA. All in all, this is an excellent addition to the Arts District and one that I wholeheartedly look forward to participating in(just signed up for membership yesterday, actually). Bonus points: I now get to 1) make more frequent use of the Metro rail from the Westside to Downtown and 2) spend more time at the Daily Dose. If you’ve been, you know what I’m talking about.

Great space. Awesome people. Great location. Inspiring vibe. Love the décor. Easy to access wifi. Easily accessible kitchen and amenities. Great mission. Easy parking. Only hard part is finding them. I can only assume that this is because their signage isn’t up yet, because they are so new. Ha!
