Every flight I go to, you’d always want to step inside a Hudson bookstore but hey it’s all about buying munchies for that long ride to your destination or maybe some headsets to keep you occupied listening to beats and tunes for that pleasant flight to Cancun? or some literature for that ride to big ol’ Texas? these bookstores are useful right? Well sometimes, prices for a standard headset is about $ 17-$ 19 were you can get them maybe half that price at your nearby retailer. I noticed there are some with an Adult Magazine section, yes Playboys and Penthouse magazines. I know I may sound like a kid who’s curious to know whats behind those racks because they are displayed behind black folders. But It makes one wonder how in the world can you read a freakin’ Penthouse magazine during a flight? maybe not care about who sits next to you with no shame? or maybe have the pleasure of reading them draping yourself under a blanket? or a pleasure to run to the restroom in the plane for and isolate yourself and give yourself a treat? WTF? Anyways find these bookstores useful you may need it.

***Hudson Booksellers features your typical airport gift shop items like snacks(some good Godiva milk chocolate cashews that were $ 4), bottled water(around $ 2.50 for Evian), magazines, and so on; I picked up an assorted snack box here for $ 6, which was a little mediocre; the Alaska Airlines’ Northwest Deli Pack(also $ 6) was much more satisfying***

I came in looking for some snacks, and I was very happy with their selection. They have a huge line of nuts including chocolate covered ones. The store is pretty big and I found it fascinating how the area with the souvenirs and magazines is slightly separated both physically and in terms of décor from the«bookstore» area in the back. In the front it’s a very typical wood panel set up for a Hudson Bookseller, but in the back the shelves are black and covered in books, more than I would expect from any airport store. The ladies were very nice and the lines moved quickly. Not a bad place to stop into if you’re looking for something to keep you reading and snacking on the plane.

Large selection of magazines and books. Not so much food/snacks and knick knacks and souvenirs. Service is a little slow, but that could also partially be blamed on the amateur travelers standing in line(same ones who block up the security lines).
