Just Unilocaled this one out because my boyfriend and I were looking for something hot to eat tonight. Luckily we hit the jackpot with this place! Really nice servers and clean, spacious resto. The food is good too! We tried the Military style hot pot, Medium size good for two! Will come back :)

Very amazing place! The staff is very friendly and has amazing customer service. They even build rapport with you! Food came out very prompt and the side dishes are amazing. Each side dish is traditionally made and has the perfect seasoning in each of them to make sure that it doesn’t over power the main dish. As for the main dish, it was freshly made(unlike other places that make them in bulk throughout the day). Portion sizes are huge so be ready to eat, eat, eat! The restaurant itself is very clean and has perfect ventilation for grilling! My new favorite Go To spot when I want Korean food.

The spicy pork belly soup was very delicious! It had a lot of kimchi which gave it a nice thick soup. We forgot to let our waiter, Ronald, know that we wanted fried rice cooked from the leftover soup. But Ronald was awesome and still dished out an awesome tasting fried rice from the bit of soup that we had. We were stuffed with just a medium soup and fried rice for two people. I’d recommend bring 3 or 4 people for the best value :)

Boyfriend and I tried this place after coming down from a wintery, cold Mammoth trip. Saw this place on Unilocal, and we both love budaejjigae, so we decided to try this place out. We were a little hesitant because one of the reviewers below commented that there were very few ham/sausages compared to the picture… here is the truth: Yes, when the budajjigae(military hot pot) comes out to your table, it doesn’t look like the menu picture… because all of the meat is already dumped inside the soup! There were SO many sausages, that we couldn’t even finish all the sausages(and believe me… we LOVE meat). So disregard that pessimistic reviewer down below, and go ahead and try this place. It’s fairly new and it’s also pretty empty. I don’t want another good budajjigae place in ktown to disappear(shout out to Johnson House Budajjigae, which closed a few years ago.).

Best stew I’ve tasted. They also have an «appetizer» rice with some tasty seasoned garnish. A little disappointed that you have to pay extra for the fried rice cooked on the stew pot. But all in all – worth it! Thumbs up!

First off i have no idea how this place got such superb ratings. Came here on a cold night to enjoy some hearty old school army stew and decided to check this place out after reading up on Unilocal.Ordered the army stew, dweji bulgogi, and hwe mool pajun. First, the stew had barely any sausages or spam for over $ 30 i expect a whole can of spam and pack of wieners. Bulgogi was not bad however the hwe mool pajun? Wtf? Its not hwe mool it should be called green onion pajun. Service? Restaurant was half empty and when asked can i swap the«green onion pajun» to kimchi jun(kimchi pancake) 20mins later the waitress comes out looking lost and says sorry kitchen is too busy to make this right now? Interesting how a restaurant has it listed on their menu yet they dont want to make it, lol. Save your money and go to hal mae jip on eighth st for their army stew for around $ 20 you ll get double what they give here. Check out the pics you guys be the judge.

I got the«military style» hot pot and it was delicious. Tastes very similar to what I had in Korea in Uijeongboo. They started off the meal with all the side dishes and a mushroom rice which was amazing and somewhat filling. Then they brought out the hot pot. The military style came with the ramen noodles, sausage, ham, spam, a little hamburger meat some veggies and a slice of cheese to top it off. Overall great experience, definitely going back when the craving hits. **Note: the dishes do come in two sizes, medium or large, which are both meant for sharing.

A new korean, hot pot restaurant to try in koreatown~ First time, I went with my friends and we ordered TRIPECASSEROLE and SEAFOODCASSEROLE. Both of the casserole were so good~ TRIPECASSEROLE had many vegetables, that it made it taste really fresh and clean! And for the SEAFOODCASSEROLE, wow! The seafood was so fresh, and the soup was delicious!!! I still crave for the seafood casserole~ Then, for the second tine, I took my family to try it Last time every casserole were so good, that I wanted to try more new soups So, we ordered MILITARYSTYLECASSEROLEWITHMIXEDMEATANDVEGETABLE and GRILLEDMARINATEDBEEF. The MILITARYSTYLECASSEROLE was good too. It had many vegetables, mushroom, spam and sausages. You can also add the ramen noodle in it. This soup was good too! Everything in here tastes good~ And GRILLEDMARINATEDBEEF was good too and they give you a lot~! In addition, the side dishes(banchan) are delicious! For me, all the side dishes tasted great and fresh! Also, they give you for side dish, a small bowl of rice and mushroom and you mix with their special sauce(I think it had garlic, apple, soy sauce) and this was one of my favorite side dish~ Make sure you try it :) The service was great~! And the place was clean
