Food is simple and clean and delicious. Halibut sashimi is fresh. Other side dish is good too. But little expensive. I ordered small combo? &3 bottle of soju and bokbunja. Paid about $ 200. Very good seafood restaurant except cost.

Korean style sashimi place. Expensive. Fresh. Portion is big. Very strict for ID check. Servers looked tired. Food display was cool.

Food was great and fresh. Typical korean restaurant if you want to name it. They started so many side dishes and kept coming till we finally finished. Here is the only con that I had in three visits. I was making«ssam» with radish, two piece of sashimi and found black liquidish ink on my finger. I washed my hand before meal so that ink is nowhere from myself. I asked the lady what that is and the lady never came back with my two piece of sashimi. So I am still curious about that unknown ink.

Really wasn’t fresh seafood. I had frozen octopus and sashimi. I was afraid to eat a lot of the other items cause it just didn’t look fresh at all. I wish I could give it 0 stars but no option for that. Don’t waste your time or money.

My sister in law was craving live octopus and found out about this place through some friends. I was a bit hesitant at first but was relieved to find that they also have sashimi and other options. You get a lot of side dishes like most Korean restaurants and can definitely say that the seafood served is fresh. It is a very Korean way of eating raw fish so don’t compare it to eating sashimi at a Japanese sushi place. I would probably go back with my family as long as they are paying because it is a bit on the pricier side.

The fish is not fresh and I got a bad stomach after eating there. They give lots of sides and the spread was impressive but not worth the pain

If your octopus or sashimi still moves, that’s how you can tell this place has fresh and live seafood! The sea urchin was the bomb and so was the sashimi included in my order. Definitely would come back if it wasn’t so expensive!

Were the chefs having a fish slicing contest? If so, first place! The sashimi pieces were cut so thinly they soaked up excessive soy sauce. The perilla leaves were wilted and not much going in the way of side dishes. The soju combo was not enough to overlook the sad quality of the food. They seemed cooked in the morning/microwaved or refrigerated too long. The majority of these 5-star reviews seem to be from last year. Wonder if management changed or something went down? Service was mediocre overall, with one particularly polite waitress and the other with brown hair that seemed to hate her job. We left 20% still to leave in good spirit but will not be returning.

Came here to try the«live» octopus(I would argue it’s technically dead, since it’s chopped up and the legs are just moving around). On the first page of the menu, you have single items like the raw octopus, the raw lobster, etc. and once you turn the page, you see all the«combo» meals. We sort of miscommunicated with our server, who made it seem like the octopus that came with the $ 99 combo for 2 people was the same as the one on the first page. It is not. It’s a tiny plate of octopus that is definitely not moving. So then we had to order the«live» octopus on the first page in addition, since that was the whole point of coming here(!). The combo meals are enormous. Let me give you an idea of how big they are. There were two of us sitting at a table for four people, and the food wouldn’t fit on the table. They kept bringing more and more out, and they’d have to take plates away to get everything on there. As far as the«live» octopus, it’s pretty cool to try. It’s very chewy, and the suckers will try to glom onto anything — your spoon, your tongue — on their way to your belly. And it moves around for quite a while afterwards, so you have plenty of time to take a video of someone eating a squirming octopus appendage. Aside from that, the combo meal just comes with an absolute dizzying array of raw seafood, including raw halibut, raw uni, raw shrimp, raw oysters and — most alarmingly — raw crab. For some reason raw crab was one of the scarier ones for us as it seemed like it would be the«dirtiest.» Honestly, by that point, we were seriously considering the possibility that we would both end up in the hospital the next day with food poisoning. We did not. Maybe it was all the soju that killed the germs. My dining companion called this the craziest meal she’s ever had. I’ve had some wild foods, but this was right up there.

Very clean and very fresh seafood. The three of us ordered a two person combo and it was a lot of food. We only finished 70% of it. 2 person combo came with: –beer or soju –spicy raw octopus salad –small cup of pumpkin soup(thick) –side dishes + kimchee –hot clam soup –corn with cheese or mayo –small plate of stir fried vegetables with shrimp and squid –2 small cooked/grilled fish –raw seafood plate of uni, abalone, sea cucumber, sea squirt(only 2 soft pieces, the rest was like tough shells… was I supposed to eat that??), 2 medium size oysters –sashimi plate of halibut and assorted fish(very fresh) –a cup of steamed egg –seafood tofu soup(comforting) –assorted vegetable tempura –1 raw blue crab marinated with soy sauce(I was surprised to find out I didn’t like raw crab…) I have a feeling i might have left out a few dishes on the list but you get the picture. It is a lot of food! Everything was very fresh but I think it was a little too much raw stuff for me. It was my first time eating raw sea squirt and sea cucumber… didn’t really like it. But yea, if you are into raw seafood, I highly recommend this place.

I was little hesitant to visit here after reading some of the reviews about this place mentioning their seafood is not so fresh. I made a visit here crossing my fingers and the worries I had about this place disappeared as soon as I had my first dish. Everything we had was really fresh and we had all kinds of seafood. The oysters, sea cucumber, abalone, sea squirt, live shrimp and etc. The halibut sashimi came out on a cold stone plate and it was also very fresh. I guess the freshness depends on the season or weather but the day I visited was very hot day over 90 degrees and the dishes were still fresh. Friendly service from the waitresses and many side dishes come with your meal. Three of us shared a meal for two but it was well enough portion.

This was my first time trying a Korean seafood restaurant. I definitely did not know what I was getting myself into. I think the only non-sashimi raw seafood I’ve had before coming here was oysters… Needless to say, when we went for the $ 802-person combo, I was way in over my head. The side dishes came out first. The steamed fish was my favorite! The raw squid was good too, I just wasn’t a fan of the sauce that they used. Next came the seafood platter that you see in all the pictures on Unilocal.I started off with the oysters. They were pretty good, and decently sized too. The abalone was good too. It had a squid-like texture but better taste, in my opinion. Couldn’t do the raw lobster(at least what I thought was lobster). It was mixed in with the skin and I couldn’t get just the meat. Mind you, I’m very bad at maneuvering through food with my mouth in general. Everything needs to be peeled, haha. This was also my first time trying uni. I didn’t really know what to expect, but this one tasted a little bitter. Wasn’t a big fan of it. The sea squirt tasted the worst. All I could taste was chemicals! Maybe I’m just not used to it? Stopped eating anything else on this platter after that. I was so relieved when they brought out the halibut sashimi platter. Korean sashimi is definitely a lot different from Japanese sashimi. They slice the fish a lot thinner. I thought the halibut was just okay. The tuna was okay too, but it does not compare to what you can get at Japanese sushi restaurants. Next came the tempura. I was almost relieved! Finally something that was familiar. They brought out the marinated crab next. This was actually really good too. Lots of flavor, but it does get pretty messy when you eat it. Last but not least, the spicy seafood soup. This was good as well. Piping hot and very flavorful. You eat it with the barley rice that comes with it. I rated this place 3-stars for several reasons(would have been 2 stars if the service wasn’t as good as it was), but it basically just comes down to the fact that I’m a seafood noob who can’t appreciate the raw goodness here. But service here is very good. We were constantly getting checked up on throughout our meal. I won’t be coming back, but it was definitely an experience.

My mom is from a coastal city, so my family’s staple was always seafood, fresh seafood… everything that was served at this place, wasn’t fresh at all. I ordered the special combo for two, it was $ 10 more than the regular combo for two which didn’t include any seafood sides. I asked for more sashimi, sea cucumber, sea eel and abalone instead of soju, sea urchin, oyster and something else. And I ordered all halibut for the main sashimi plate. Seriously, nothing was fresh. Some of the side choices were ridiculously just fillers, like a few pieces of tang soo yuk, edamame, some unknown pieces of skewers… Not even motivated to write any longer. I will just never come back. My server deserves two stars. She was attentive and friendly. Ambience? It is just a typical korean style sashimi place that smells like fish~~~~

FIRSTOFALL, let me explain what T=FISH means. In korean, when you pronounce T=, it sounds like tee-neun() which means ‘flying/jumping’. So it means FLYING/JUMPING FISH. Literally, it sounds weird, but basically it means that the fish is FRESH haha. I often come here with my coworkers and it is definitely few of the top notch sashimi places in LA. It’s a korean-styled sashimi restaurant on the second floor of the plaza. You park valet($ 2) downstairs and street parking is almost impossible. The moment you walk in, you can smell the FRESHNESS of the ocean breezing in the air. I recommend ordering the combo(they have various options and sizes to accommodate the number of your party, and how hungry you are!). My most recent visit here, there was a party of 5 including myself. we ordered the Large combo($ 150) which is suppose to feed 4 – 5 people. It comes with various side dishes including clam soup, eel, fresh uni, oysters, squid etc. For the MAIN course, you get to either pick the halibut sashimi OR assorted sashimi. We got half and half. I do recommend asking for sushi rice and wrapping it in seaweed paper with your choice of sashimi and sauce. OMGYUMMMM. After, we were still hungry so we also ordered the Marinated Crabs and eel. The marinated crabs are to DIEFOR. You can literally eat a whole meal just with the sauce and rice because it is THAT good. THESERVICE is the only bad thing about this place. It’s not horrible, but it is disappointing. Servers are constantly running around and busy, so they don’t come around to check up on you unless you try really hard to get their attention. Overall, I do recommend and I will come back again n again n again.

I’m not sure where all the high ratings come from… the restaurant was about 2.5 stars for me, but I rounded up since there was a lot of food and the service was alright. We were in Ktown during the day, and we didn’t feel like kbbq, so we decided to hit up a Korean sashimi place. I always have high hopes that a Korean sashimi place will really impress me one of these days, but sadly, I’m always let down by the quality of the fish. This place was no exception. Since the ratings were pretty high, I figured it couldn’t be that bad, but I didn’t realize there wouldn’t be anything that good either. We ordered the small combo for two people, and I admit, the amount of food was plenty. What I liked: perilla leaves and lettuce to wrap the sashimi in. I also liked the grilled mackerel they serve at the end. The nooloongji(boiled rice in water) at the end was good.. What I didn’t like: the raw uni(bitter, not sweet at all, *tears of sadness*), oysters(ok) abalone(didn’t have that fresh abalone texture). I didn’t even like a lot of the fillers, such as steamed egg or corn cheese. Everytime I go to a Korean sashimi place, I think I’m done, I’m just not a fan… but then I’ll want to try another place to make sure I’m not missing out on anything. Hopefully, one of these days, I will be pleasantly surprised and my search will be fruitful. We shall see!

I got the smallest combo with a friend. The halibut was fresh and good. They also gave some tuna on the side. There was also uni, abalone, sea cucumber, anago… Usually Korean style halibut sashimi restaurants give little extra side dishes called jjigedashi. The sides were ok. There was root, pumpkin porridge, tempura, fish, egg, corn cheese, soy sauce crab… I really liked the tempura. It didn’t seem like it was fried with old oil. Their spicy fish soup usually tastes good but the last time I went, it was no good. Very bland

I can’t believe I JUSTFOUNDTHISPLACE!!! I’ve tried most of the korean sashimi joints in koreatown and I’d say this place is one of my very favorite places now. The place is so clean…(well because the building is new) but everything that comes out makes it look extra fresh and tidy hahaha The price is decent and they don’t give you useless side dishes just to fill you up they actually give you portions that are enough for the side dishes. I forgot which combo we ordered but they have like six or seven different options. I know we ordered something that was a little above the small or something and they were glad to give us half fresh halibut and half mixed sashimi. I LOVE sashimi… I can eat sashimi all day everyday if I was rich and probably get mercury poisoning and die peacefully(that’s horrible I’m sorry) They give you a platter of different seafood besides the sashimi which is part of the combo. In the platter it has sea urchin, oysters, sea squirt, sea cucumbers, abalone and give you squid sashimi(i don’t know what type of squid it is though…) THATPLATTERIS … MARVELOUS. I seriously hold dear for these korean sashimi joints because they give you plates of fresh seafood you can’t really get anywhere at any given time. On the menu it says that depending on the season and what they have they switch from anago(sea water eel) and the squid sashimi but I’m happy with either one haha. The sashimi quality was great, I wouldn’t say the sashimi quality was amazing because we got the mixed sashimi and unless the chef goes fishing for tuna salmon yellowtail every week it’s probably shipped from a company anyway hahaha The halibut is in the freaking fish tank so I hope no one complains that the halibut is not fresh. .haha The service was mediocre. which is a bit sad compared to their impeccable food hahaha but they were nice. I’m in no way complaining about their service it’s just a korean thing I believe they just look unhappy hahaha The cleanliness of this place is definitely what puts this place at the top of my list!

After reading through the review, we decided to check out this place on Friday nite. We were party of 7, so we decided to go for the extra large course deal. Yes, the sashimi, seafood everything looked same as what we saw on Unilocal photos, but the portion was not that big. We were just close to full, but not over and above satisfied. Maybe we were very very hungry :) The vibe of restaurant was just casual, typical korean style restaurant, nothing fancy. Maybe ideal to come with less people, not in a group more than 4. Only took side dish photos, forgot when the main course started came out… oops!(Busy eating)

3 of us ordered for 2 ppl combo platter and it’s A LOTOFFOOD! They give you pumpkin porridge(so good!) and some dishes in the beginning, followed by the Uni(they said its live… but not fresh… hmmm) with Oysters and Sea squirts and other seafood sides. Then comes, Sashimi platter. Then, broiled Mackerel Then, soysauce Crab(khan jang kae jang) Then, assorted tempura Then, spicy fish stew with, burnt rice soup with it All with lots of banchans on the side. There’s a lot of food to eat! I was disappointed with Uni… not being fresh, so we ordered another and the 2nd one was better, but it’s questionable. They bring out the courses a little on the slow side, so unless you ask you don’t get the next course back to back. We were full from waiting so long to get our last two courses. Self park, no valet for this restaurant. Garage is underneath. Overall, good food and lots of food.
