Stopped by at the farmers market and saw a long line stemming from this vietnamese sandwich shop. Decided to give it a try, and wasnt too pleased. My sandwich lacked distinct flavor… it tasted like shredded chicken stuffed in a baguette with some jalepenos, nothing special. The chicken and ingredients however were fresh and tasted wholesome(it was at the farmers market so I would hope so)… I probably would not go back for seconds.

Hands down the best banh mi I’ve ever had. Get the pork terrine with a fried egg. Perfectly fresh, seasoned and sauced! This is probably my favorite food stand at the Mar Vista Farmer’s market because of that banh mi alone. I’ve tried it with the chicken, but the pork is the stand-out difference maker. Sure, sometimes it takes a little while to get your order, but that’s because they’re making it for you FRESH. They care about quality here, and I’m willing to wait for it, especially because you can definitely browse around the other Farmer’s Market stalls while you wait. I know I’ll be coming back time and time again for that banh mi.

You can really taste the freshness of the ingredients. My faves so far are the shrimp & pork spring rolls, the pork & fried egg banh mi sandwich, and the chicken phở. Plus the business owners are really nice people who provide excellent customer service. All around great experience. Catch them at the La Cienega Farmers Market!(Among other locations)

The egg bahn mi is my favorite sandwich ever. The couple running the show are so nice too. Everything tastes so fresh! Love

Went here a while back for the farmers market. Deeply disappointed. Mostly because it was a two person operation and it took forever to make a simple banh mi. They not cut out for a farmers market. They understaffed. Not to mention they ran out of pork so I had to switch to chicken which was like 15 min into my 30 min wait. Stick to catering y’all, the farmers market is not a good look. But as far as the actual meal though, it was decent. The chicken banh mi was alright. Ive had better but Im not tripping off that. Just the wait time was beyond ridiculous especially since you can get a banh mi faster in a restaurant. Other than the wait time, place is worth the try. The staff is super friendly and nice. They need another person though.

Just met Samadhi & Victor. What great people! My wife and I were looking for great Vietnamese coffee and found it here. As others wrote here, not all Vietnamese coffee is the same and this is some really good stuff. Stop by and try for yourself!

Come to MarVista Farmers market, order your Vietnamese food here, go do your shopping, come back after 30 – 40 min grab your food and eat. Yes! It takes that long but it’s made fresh, warm chicken and warm pork comes out from the pot. Friendly smily young lady and man work here. The only negative thing was, the young smiley lady who also makes spring rolls or salads also she takes orders, touches money, pens, credit cards and her mobile to charge credit card. After all those germs she should wash her hands before touching the veggies or sandwiches for costumers.

I’ve had the sandwiches and spring rolls here and they were very good. The only negative is that it takes awhile, so put your order in and go do some shopping at the market. Contrary to what another reviewer has written, the meat in the banh mi is not«low quality.» It’s a cold cut called«cha», is made with ground pork, and is one of the traditional fillings. It’s also stuffed with pickled carrots & daikon, cilantro, and jalapenos. It’s a perfectly solid banh mi.

Great food! Service with a smile ! Takes a loooong time though. I ordered the fried egg bahn mi… when it was(finally) ready I tore right into it and it did not dissappoint. Only thing that stops this place from being five stars is long wait time and high price. Sammich was $ 8. For an egg sandwich. I would be more comfortable going back of it was priced closer to $ 6.

Terrible banh mi. The pork was very low quality — think bologna or cold cut texture. The veggies were not fresh and tasted like wine(pickled veggies that spoiled?). Total rip off for $ 8. We took two bites and threw it away.

This review is for the food, not the wait. The soup, spring rolls, egg sandwich Bahn Mi and Duck Terrine Ban Mi are awesome! Order when you get to the market because it can take 40 minutes sometimes then walk around and come back. I’ve learned this the hard way. They always say 10 minutes & you want to believe them because usually no one is around waiting or very few so it’s deceiving! It is worth the wait though. I did feel bad for one customer this morning who was waiting. I asked her how long she had been waiting & she said 20 minutes. Ten minutes more later I saw her go next door to the empanadas place & get an empanadas to eat immediately. Poor girl was starving waiting

Stopped by for a Vietnamese Iced Coffee, because I needed a quick, strong caffeine boost. The iced coffee needs a bit more condensed milk and sugar, as authentic café sua da is a bit creamer, but it’ll do for West LA. As I was looking at the menu, I was surprised to see Goi Du Du(for my heart’s sake. please do not be ignorant and pronounce this as Goi Doo-doo. just use the english description) I had to get the goi, because as a true vietnamese girl. I just had to have it! Even though it was a bit over priced.(it’s okay we’re in West LA at a Farmer’s Market). It was actually really good! They make it non-spicy to cater to the local consumers, but just add some Sriacha and you’re good! The staff were really sweet– Vietnamese mom and son! Actually authentic, Vietnamese-speaking staff. Really appreciated that. Although it seems like people were waiting a bit for the food, it was worth it. May stop by more!

4 stars because the girl at this farmers market stand is so enthusiastic and friendly! I tried the vegetarian banh Minh and Vietnamese coffee. Sandwich was fresh and delicious and coffee was great. They offer free samples of the coffee, so try it out. Will definitely order food from here again. Yum!

I’ve never had a bad banh mi sandwich until now. Goopy vegetables, boring spices, so-so bread. Quite honestly, this place turned my wife off to Vietnamese food for awhile. I don’t want this again.

I’m Vietnamese and I know my banh mi. So when I heard that there was an organic Vietnamese stand in Mar Vista, I thought, «no way, that’s probably some water down westside crap». How I was wrong! I had the banh mi cha and it was full of fresh organic veggies. And yes, I can tell the difference. So I stand corrected. The vietnamese ice coffee is crack-in-a-cup in full form!

As I stand here, still waiting in line, I figure I should do something to occupy myself. It’s now been almost 20 minutes of me standing here in the hot sun while the two cooks argue with one another and mess up orders. It smells great and everything, but I regret paying beforehand. Now, I’m stuck here. Waiting. Waiting. At a farmers market, you shouldn’t have to wait this long for your food. Especially when there is only one other person in line. The sun is cooking my skin faster than they can cook an egg roll. I ate the sandwich. It was pretty good. I hate it when I write a review and the owners message me. You’re guilting me into changing your rating.

Best Vietnamese food I’ve had. Everything was organic for the most part, which is a huge plus. The service was extremely friendly and fast. I can’t say enough good things about this new start up business. Hands down my favorite food stand ever! P. S. Btw, the Vietnamese coffee is the best I’ve ever had. And the condensed milk is grass fed too!

I paid my first ever visit to the Mar Vista Farmers Market last weekend and made Good Morning Vietnam my choice for lunch. I got their Bahn Mi Cha Lua(pork terrine sandwich) and it was excellent! The bread was super fresh, the pork was super tasty, and it was the perfect lunch size. Not only that, but both the girl working the front and the guys working the back were super friendly and super nice. If I ever go back to this farmers market, I will surely look them up again! I found this entry on Unilocal trying to find a brink & mortar for them; I hope one day they can make this a reality :)

Love their organic bahn mi! GMV also comes to the Playa Vista Farmers Market on Wednesday nights, and I get that sandwich every time! Their iced coffee is STRONG, as good Vietnamese coffee should be. The employees(owners?) are super friendly and quick. Makes me happy to stop by!

Good Morning Vietnam is a fledgeling gourmet quick meal business that’s worth supporting. You can find them on Sundays at the Mar Vista Farmers Market and Wednesdays at the Playa Vista Farmers Market. GMV is run by a young Vietnamese-American couple; very earnest and sincere in providing high-end, quality, preservative– and MSG-free food to the public. You can tell just what end of the foodie spectrum they’re oriented on by their menu: compassionate pork Bahn Mi sandwiches, Grass Fed Condensed Milk Vietnamese Coffee. This is a concept long needed for discerning foodies. And, surprise! Their prices are moderate, not really high. I had a delicious green papaya salad with a very light(definitely not overpowering) sesame dressing… for breakfast. It was delicious. They always have samples out such as egg rolls and some other goodies I couldn’t identity. I spoke with the female half of the couple and she said everything is natural, no MSG and they make everything from scratch, including their beef jerky(which is made without sugar, but with fruit juice). Give ‘em some business, they deserve it and so do you.
